I think Richard will end up as the new Jimmy (after Nucky sends him to kill Narcisse) and Eli's son will take Eli's place. I feel bad for Eli but he's already betrayed Nucky once.
11/22/2013 9:11:09 AM
I don't feel bad for anyone that wears a hat that stupid looking. And any scenes of Gillian's trial/etc would be unnecessary.
11/22/2013 11:27:42 AM
Well then. Scorched earth it is.
11/24/2013 10:14:08 PM
goodnight, sweet prince

Harrow Just to clear things up -- Hoover talking to Narcisse -- was that Hoover getting Narcisse's help in trying to bring down Nucky? Who is Garvey?

Also, great fight scene between Eli and Knox. I really like how brutal and realistic the fighting is in this show. Lots of shows have either everyone turn into a kung fu master or just a few punches and stuff, but damn, that fight was awesome.

why the fuck didn't Harrow go to the hospital?!?! He could have just claimed to be shot by the shooter at Onyx.Sigh

i just saw the announcement this morning in my local news. so bummed
1/10/2014 8:40:14 AM
I think it's good. Better than keeping it going past it's prime.
1/10/2014 9:33:46 AM
I mean i'm fine with shows going out on their own terms. This show seemed to have really found it's stride and i'm not sure what i'm more worried about. The fact that they won't be able to service everyone enough or that they'll try to tell way too much about everyone in the short amount of time.

Although I'm sad to see it go, I, too am glad that it is going out on it's own accord rather than jumping the shark and having to wrap everything up really quickly due to being canceled. So I guess Nucky probably dies in the final episode. Maybe he leaves his empire to Willy.
1/10/2014 12:32:08 PM
Season 4 was 1924 and Rothstein is killed in 1928. I'm still hoping that they cover that somehow.

This show is awesome. Almost finished with the first season. Does it get better or worse?
8/15/2014 11:29:30 AM
Better. A few slow episodes here and there but overall this show brings consistent quality.
8/15/2014 12:01:26 PM
Premiere did not grip me.
9/8/2014 7:24:21 PM
Ditto.Even with masseria getting capped, someone getting macheted and then ear'd, it was really boring. The best part was Margaret's boss.
9/9/2014 10:50:51 AM
Same for me. The only part that really interested me was Chalky's story. Hoping that Nucky doesn't stick around in Cuba that much longer. So what's up with Luciano's lazy eye/scar? That is new, right?[Edited on September 9, 2014 at 11:54 AM. Reason : ]
9/9/2014 11:53:54 AM
Yep. I forget what year Season 4 was set in, but this is now 1931.
9/9/2014 12:08:25 PM
I completely forgot the 7 year jump. Good episode though.
9/9/2014 12:10:17 PM
so why did Margaret's boss off himself? guilt of what they were doing? or something else?
9/9/2014 12:42:46 PM
I thought it was due to the Great Depression -- he gave that speech about how Mickey Mouse stayed happy and kept on trying despite being stranded on the a desert island. This is like two years after the stock market crash so the bank was probably struggling. Lots of rich folks who lost a lot of money in the depression killed themselves.
9/9/2014 1:48:59 PM
I was remarking about how disappointed I was that bankers didn't do the same in 2008, but they just figured out how to make even more money out of a depression.

9/9/2014 8:36:31 PM
I'm guessing that Meyer and Luciano's new loudmouth jackass buddy is Dutch Shultz?
9/24/2014 1:22:34 PM
slowest episode in a longggg time. feel asleep. now we have a dumb bitch back again.[Edited on September 24, 2014 at 8:44 PM. Reason : d]

I will say that I don't (not sure I've ever) have the same desire to watch this show immediately every week as I do other shows like TB, TD or GoT. i.e. when it plays live at 9pm or ASAP via DVR when I have the time.I didn't even watch the season premier till 9 days after it aired.
9/25/2014 11:41:38 AM
Capone may be a complete psychopath but at least he's a good friend to Nucky. Or maybe he just hates Luciano that much. Then again back when Rosetti tried to take out Nucky, Capone (and Torio) were the only ones of the big crime bosses that came to help him, so it makes me think that Capone feels some kind of loyalty. Maybe it's just because Torio instilled a good level of respect for him.
9/30/2014 12:23:04 PM
i wonder how Nucky is going to take to his woman being shot and killed in Cuba.
9/30/2014 1:14:11 PM
Eh. Even the young one with a weird face was better than an aged Arquette past her prime.
9/30/2014 6:56:31 PM
^that's putting it kindly.
10/1/2014 9:10:20 AM
No contest.
10/1/2014 10:25:05 AM
Arquette has some massive jugs though
10/1/2014 10:27:35 AM
Am I the only person who has seen every season up to this one and have access to all episodes that have aired so far, but haven't watched one of them?
10/1/2014 10:39:56 AM
That guy playing Young Nucky is amazing. I suddenly look forward to the flashback scenes rather than want to skip over them. Also - Mickey Doyle's "ninth guy" (that kid who pestered him) is rumored to actually be Tommy Darmody, working his way in for revenge.[Edited on October 8, 2014 at 8:49 AM. 10/8/2014 8:49:10 AM
Ah yeah, that young version of Nucky is creepy in how similar he looks to Steve Buscemi. I'm sure it is a lot of makeup and effects and stuff, but they did a damn good job.So the ninth guy -- Is that the same one that was sweeping up and stuff in the bar and doing odd jobs for Doyle? I remember him allowing him to join up with the others when he was looking for men to load cars, but I don't recall if it was the same person. If it is Tommy, he would have had to be in the exact right place at the right time to know that Doyle was going to go there specifically looking for some hired help.It would be an interesting way to end the series though, with Tommy taking out Nucky.
10/8/2014 9:08:59 AM
^Yes, that was him sweeping.I don't think he'll take Nucky out...Nucky goes to jail in 1941 and dies naturally in 1968. I know they dramatize a lot for the show, but killing Nucky outright would be too much.If indeed it's him, I predict a failed attempt, with a bodyguard taking down the kid and Nucky finally recognizing him at that moment.
10/8/2014 9:13:24 AM
SPOILER ALERT Not everyone reads history you know!
10/8/2014 9:24:23 AM
Finally some action! And I don't think Arquette had really big boobs. Rather I think most of it was just her fat pushing them out
10/8/2014 9:39:46 AM
look pretty big to me, at least in that pic.
10/8/2014 9:59:36 AM
Good episode.
10/8/2014 1:55:24 PM
just got done with season two, i wonder what gretchen mol is going to do the rest of the series with her son dead
10/11/2014 10:17:07 PM
Good to see some main cast members getting taken out. However...WHATTHEFUCK?!?Last season is only 8 episodes? That's some bullshit.
10/13/2014 8:47:06 AM
Didnt understand the scene and why chalky did what he did.Nelson went out like a champ.
10/13/2014 9:48:45 AM
^yeah, it was very forced as with most things this season. all the storylines are being rushed just to fit eveything into this last/short season.
