9/19/2009 9:28:59 PM
FSU is crushing BYU. It's like watching them in the 90s.
9/19/2009 9:34:38 PM
Transitive property says the ACC and more importantly, MIAMI are for real.
9/19/2009 9:42:16 PM
TT faked out the refs on the fake kneel down
9/19/2009 9:46:48 PM
Transitive property also says Jacksonville State would beat BYU
9/19/2009 9:56:46 PM

9/19/2009 10:24:44 PM
This is a shitfest of a game. I feel like every team outside the state of Florida sucks this year.

9/19/2009 11:32:22 PM
^^^ lame. was that a blown review by the officials?
9/19/2009 11:35:08 PM
miami #5?i think not
9/19/2009 11:36:53 PM
yeah...I don't know about that
9/19/2009 11:37:54 PM
^^If miami wins the next two games then they'll likely face the fsu/ncsu winner with a trip to the national championship game at stake. Watchout for FSU to knock of Florida if they're still around at that point. Tebow should wear down and FSU's man to man d might be just the trick to slow him down. If nobody comes out of the SEC unbeaten (as I expect) then Miami could realistically be the team that beats Texas for the championship.
9/20/2009 4:06:39 PM
i wont say thats not a possibility, but the likeliness of it is preposterous
9/20/2009 4:50:50 PM
lol the season is two games old for miami...sounds like the fucktard miami fans in espn conversations. absolutely outlandish at this point.

I'm confused about where you're seeing that Miami is #5. Did someone post that they should be #5 and I'm missing it?
9/21/2009 2:02:20 PM
I think Herbstreit mentioned Saturday night they should be there but was half joking, Musberger was serious though. No fucking way right now at least.
9/21/2009 2:36:25 PM
OHHHHHHHHH, yeah Herbstriet voted miami #5.http://pollspeak.com/pollstalker/pollstalker.php?s=9&p=18&t1=53&v=400&w=4&r=T
9/21/2009 2:39:54 PM
Why shouldn't they be #5? They've beaten two teams that are ranked when they played them. If they had started out ranked say #10 due to preseason hype, there's no doubt they'd be #5, if not higher.
9/21/2009 2:40:54 PM
they are in the ACC for one and are still, essentially, the same team as last year added in some freshmen. They are no where near top 10
9/21/2009 2:43:25 PM
9/21/2009 2:44:16 PM
Last year doesn't matter. They're 2-0 and have beaten two ranked opponents. Like I said, if they were ranked preseason then they'd easily be in the top 5.

you are ignorant and don't understand the variation of the transitive property that applies to sports. If team A beats team B and team B beats team C it doesn't mean team A would beat team C. (Thats elementary and I'm sorry if thats as far as your mind can take it). It just means that its possible. Also transitive property HAS to be used in college football when you have 12 games to determine everything. Every voter uses the transitive property at the end of the year to untangle log jams of teams with the same record. Computer polls have complex variations of the transitive property built into them.

Has anyone seen Cincy play yet this year? They are CFN's pick to play in the NC game. A lot of that has to do with playing in arguably the worst BCS conference (though I think the ACC and Big 10 -- regardless of Sagarin rating -- are on par) but they seem to have a dynamic offense.Too bad Ohio State is afraid to play them after being tied after 3 qtrs a few years back...
9/22/2009 8:48:39 AM
They are not CFN's pick, they are one writer who likes to always go out on a limb's pick.Fuitak is a great and hilarious writer (their Bill Simmons) but picks the random underdog a lot for shock value.[Edited on September 22, 2009 at 8:55 AM. Reason : x]

Its an example of a smaller site trying to get readersA texas fan will see it, email their friend like "look at this asshole", he'll email more people, etc, etc, etcIf they picked Florida/Texas, they wouldn't stand out[Edited on September 22, 2009 at 9:02 AM. Reason : x]
9/22/2009 9:00:11 AM
Really? It's CFN.Not Lord of the Lines.Anyway, have you seen them play? I haven't and I'm wondering what they look like.
9/22/2009 9:14:54 AM
CFN isn't no name, but they still get trounced in the click count I'm sure by the likes of ESPN, SI, Sportsline, Yahoo, etcAnd I've seen two of their games, first the Labor Day Raping of Rutgers, and last week at Oregon StateThey're a good team, but only fringe top 10 from a talent level, if thatGetting to the NC game would be more about luck and circumstances than a true measure of their caliberbut then again, isn't it always ?
