need some advice at TEgreg olsen (CHI) vs. Seattle (at Seattle)jeremy shockey (NO) vs. Buffalo (at Buffalo)
9/24/2009 7:20:58 PM
^^ While I agree, Jake also got a large chunk of yards playing desperate from behind. I'm not sure, I'll probably end up starting Brady though, if he throws it 50 times again he should be in for a good day.Any other input? Brady vs Atl or Schaub vs Jax?^ I'm going with Shockey. I think Colston and Shockey are the only receivers who will be getting consistent targets from Brees. And I have Greg Olson sitting in my starting TE spot and I'm not happy about it
9/24/2009 7:23:10 PM
^me tooi was excited about him with him now having cutler but he has been a huge disappointmenton the other hand, i have given up on players too early before and it cost me. i am just going to go on matchups with these two for a while.and i would go with brady; he is going to have a bounce back game this week i believe; schaub is risky b/c if johnson doesn't get open he doesn't do anything. usually, however, he gets open.[Edited on September 24, 2009 at 7:26 PM. Reason : .]
9/24/2009 7:24:51 PM
yeah go ahead and play Shockey each week until he inevitably gets injured
9/24/2009 7:25:39 PM
^prob. what i am gonna dowhile im at it, which 3 of 4 receivers should i playGreg Jennings vs. St. Louis (definite IMO)Marques Colston vs. BuffaloSantonio Holmes vs. CincyChad Ochocinco vs. Pittsburgh
9/24/2009 7:28:35 PM
^Not 85
9/24/2009 7:32:38 PM
that is how i have it now; could start him at our flex position and bench garbage steve slaton
9/24/2009 7:34:45 PM
Stick with Slaton one more game since he plays JAX. If he fucks up that one too, then I'd bench him.
9/24/2009 7:38:37 PM
who should I start at RB...Chris Johnson, Ronnie Brown, and/or Clinton PortisPortis is playing against the Lions so I figure he should have the better game but he sucked it up against St. Louis. Johnson is playing against the Jets who have a pretty solid defense. I am new at this so some advice would be appreciated.
9/24/2009 7:44:31 PM
you can start 2?I'd probably go Johnson and Portis
9/24/2009 7:47:37 PM
yep I can start 2portis hasn't done jack for me so far so I am a bit hesitant to start him
9/24/2009 7:48:53 PM
Lions D relatively held ADP in check during the first half last week, but I still think they don't have defense and you should start Portis...Brown against San Diego is tempting but I think would play Portisjust my opinion, THE GURU can feel free to weigh in
9/24/2009 7:52:01 PM
Flex spot(PPR):K. Smith vs. Washington (played well against Minny)orM. Manningham @ TB (seems to be the go-to guy and the Buccs D is struggling)Right now I have Manningham hoping to ride his hot streak.
9/24/2009 8:01:31 PM
i'd go with manningham.
9/24/2009 9:52:35 PM
^tough onehot streaks for young receivers almost always have an abrupt ending, you just never know when it is going to be
9/24/2009 9:53:33 PM
apparently something might be wrong with manningham's shoulder. maybe not too bad though. kevin smith is consistent, should get at least 60-70 yards per game and maybe a td.What do you guys think of Laurent Robinson from STL? apparently he has become bulger's number 1. and you gotta think the rams will be throwing the ball a lot from behind this yearI'm trying to figure out if I should drop Chansi Stuckey and pick up Robinson. (nonPPR) thoughts?[Edited on September 24, 2009 at 10:49 PM. Reason : ]
9/24/2009 10:48:57 PM
i just think the rams suck...steven jackson went from a top 5 pick and fantasy value, to a fringe player in deep leagues (slight exaggeration)...only thing i'm going to trust about the rams so far is play RBs against them[Edited on September 24, 2009 at 10:52 PM. Reason : and play your defense against them]]
9/24/2009 10:52:25 PM
yeah i agree the rams suck. but i'm still thinking robinson might be able to get some value
9/24/2009 10:56:03 PM
Which QB should I start?Big "Pump Fake" Ben @ Cin orTrent Edwards vs NO
9/25/2009 12:00:26 AM
I'd go Edwards. I think he could put a few points up on the Saints (though they should put up more). The Bengals did force 6 sacks last week against a team with offensive line issues. I could see them possibly giving Big Ben problems (Can't believe I'm saying positive things about the Bengals D).
9/25/2009 12:19:05 AM
^^^ Rams suck, but I'd take Robinson over Stuckey at this point.. Then again, I'm 0-2 thanks to Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore.
9/25/2009 12:39:24 AM
it's better than being 0-2 because your team is underperforming.i'm talking to YOU, Matt Forte and TJ Houshmanzadeh.
9/25/2009 1:01:04 AM
i am 1-1 in this league and was wondering which QB I should start, Schaub or Roethlisberger?
9/25/2009 8:27:19 AM
Schaub, and its not even close
9/25/2009 8:40:36 AM
No offense, but some of these questions are downright stupid. Start Shaub...he had a good game last week and the Jax game is going to be a high scoring affair. Houston's offense is beginning to click, and they'll have a little bit more success running, which will open the passing game even more.
9/25/2009 8:40:52 AM
3 WR's, 2 RB's and 1 Flex - Who do you start?WR - Marques Colston, Steve Smith (NYG), Chad Ochocinco, Houshmanzadeh (Unsure of how I feel of him playing without Hasselbeck), Ted Ginn Jr.RB - Frank Gore, Knowshon Moreno, Willie Parker, Mike Bell, Chester Taylor, Donald BrownI'm torn between Housh or Willie for my flex. Or I could start both and sit Steve Smith or Knowshon... hmm.
9/25/2009 8:45:37 AM
I'll give advice in a sec...but first:Fantasy News of the Day
9/25/2009 10:57:20 AM
Ok... My WRs are:Desean JacksonTorry HoltMario ManninghamNate WashingtonJohnny KnoxMy RBs are:Brian WestbrookLesean McCoySteve SlatonRyan GrantPierre ThomasMike BellShould I trade Brian Westbrook for Randy MOSS straight up?
9/25/2009 11:09:54 AM
^ I'd vote this1) DeSean (watch the news for injury updates)2) Torry Holt3) Manningham1) Slaton2) McCoy3) Thomaskeep westbrook_______________I need to play 2 WRs: I have:desean jacksonbernard berriansantonio holmes[Edited on September 25, 2009 at 11:37 AM. Reason : a]
9/25/2009 11:36:03 AM
I'm 0-2 so I figured I needed to make some kind of trade.
9/25/2009 11:45:53 AM
9/25/2009 11:45:59 AM
I'd go with Desean if he's healthy, and then probably Holmes. I have a lot of faith in San fran's defense this year. *Much Improved* NYJ-esque.
9/25/2009 11:55:28 AM
ppr league, 1 rb, 1 rb/wr, 2 wr/te12 teams, 7 starters, 3 benchmy rb's are westbrook and pierre thomas. some guy dropped ray rice, should i pick him up over thomas or wait to see to see thomas this weekend and how the mcgahee/rice split continues to go?
9/25/2009 2:38:36 PM
A guy in my league just traded Matt Forte for Julius Jones. WTF
9/25/2009 3:17:13 PM
forte has not looked good, but thats not too bright
9/25/2009 3:23:17 PM
neither has Jones aside from his 62-yard TD in week 1 against St. Louisoh i forgot...last week he had a receiving TD...and a total of -2 receiving yards
9/25/2009 3:23:54 PM
K. Winslow vs NYGorJ. Carlson vs Green Bay possibly without Hasselbeck...
9/25/2009 5:00:32 PM
roy williams vs CAR or steve smith (nyg) vs TBandryan grant vs STL or felix jones vs CAR
9/25/2009 5:54:30 PM
Trent Edwards vs NO (playing behind throwing all game)or Tony Romo vs CAR (potential bounceback)
9/25/2009 6:19:12 PM
^^^Winslow^^Williams, Grant^Romoalso, i give that particular advice will letting you know I kinda think Dallas' offense is gonna lay an egg but I'm also starting Felix in 2 leagues...take it for what its worth
9/25/2009 6:28:04 PM
I, too, am relying heavily on Felix this week. I need to get a win this week badly.
9/25/2009 6:29:34 PM
Repost!3 WR's, 2 RB's and 1 Flex - Who do you start?WR - Marques Colston, Steve Smith (NYG), Chad Ochocinco, Houshmanzadeh (Unsure of how I feel of him playing without Hasselbeck), Ted Ginn Jr.RB - Frank Gore, Knowshon Moreno, Willie Parker, Mike Bell, Chester Taylor, Donald BrownI'm torn between Housh or Willie for my flex. 9/25/2009 6:48:07 PM
apparently barber is back to doubtful for monday, but it sucks they don't play till monday. both jones and grant have juicy matchups, even though grant has looked like ass so far
9/25/2009 7:22:12 PM
^^I wouldn't play Housh, Hasselbeck is still out.
9/25/2009 7:24:07 PM
pick 2cedric benson vs. PITlarry johnson vs. PHI (away)rashard mendenhall vs. CIN (away)
9/25/2009 10:29:59 PM
would you guys drop mike bell to pickup and play tashard choice?even when bell gets healthy, pierre thomas is still there.Lynell hamilton for NO and James Davis (not this week) for cle are also possible options for fill-ins.[Edited on September 26, 2009 at 1:37 AM. Reason : .]
9/26/2009 1:11:51 AM
ladell betts, too.Also, fuck LT
9/26/2009 1:42:23 AM
trade advice needed.I have Tashard Choice, he has Barber and needs a replacement RB for him, he also has McCoyI trade Choice for McCoy and hope Westbrook goes down and I have a decent trade...sound good?I wont be starting choice anywaysIn another tradeI have Earl Bennett...he wishes to trade for Braylon Edwards...good move? im fairly deep at WR already
9/26/2009 1:43:19 AM
why is everyone all over choice's nuts all of a sudden? last i checked he was 3rd string
9/26/2009 1:49:14 AM
Ok, deep league, my QBs suck, so...Cassel @ Phillyor Leftwich vs. GiantsI went with Cassel last week, but Leftwich did put up some decent points.
