freshmarket, whole foodsish type places, and other rando places. and target (booo walmart i HATE going there and i refuse to even though the stuff is cheap).

i like harris teeter for some things but some stuff like mac n cheese and other noodles are WAY over priced. like seriously that shits is like a 1.50 at harris teeter and like .60 cents everywhere else.

foodlion has good prices but they don't have the variety in some things that i want.

ugh groceries so difficult.

honestly the only thing harris teeter has that i find better than foodlion is their boneless skinless chicken breast...its 3 bucks cheaper and tastes better

nah harris teeter has better generic stuff. and a better selection in general than food lion on specialty foods. at least the ones i'm around.

like i don't buy food lion brand deli meat but i buy the harris teeter kind, etc. and target too.

^^ haha. sorry i was unaware of the date!

i don't think i've ever had a generic cereal i liked. why is that? all generic tastes like cardboard to me. even trader joes os tasted icky

target also has decent generic mac n cheese. i mean the food lion brand NEVER comes out right for me. neither does harris teeter. but the target brand can turn out good enough. but you have to fiddle with the ingredients to get it just right.

an experiment:

lo mein noodles, cooked
dry roasted sesame seeds
bamboo shoots
beansprouts
baby corns
"stir fried" together with: ginger, soy sauce (low sodium, some regular some ginger flavored), evoo (not peanut oil or sesame oil or anything), garlic, crushed red pepper

and a vegetable egg roll (frozen kind) cooked in the toaster with yummy sauce

first bite was MMMMM.
