FYI, the Madden curse has struck again....Shaun Alexander is out with a broken bone in his foot. Sucks for the keepers.
9/25/2006 5:30:40 PM
^ How long - sure am glad I took LJ and not SA.
9/25/2006 5:33:59 PM
^^AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!there goes my season
9/25/2006 5:35:17 PM
where did you hear this?
9/25/2006 5:35:26 PM
It was breaking news on ESPN News just now. Can't find a link on teh intarweb yet.
9/25/2006 5:36:55 PM
Yeah it's on ESPN news.I'm up by 11 with Vick left to play, I'm considering benching him to assure myself a victory.
9/25/2006 5:38:35 PM
It's on now. They're predicting he'll be out 4-6 weeks. Gonna miss 3-4 games.Somebody pick up Maurice Morris.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2602571[Edited on September 25, 2006 at 5:45 PM. Reason : link]
9/25/2006 5:41:45 PM
yeah there goes my season as well.after an already horrendous 0-3 start, losing alexander is the end for me.
9/25/2006 5:55:46 PM
Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander is out indefinitely with a small cracked bone in his foot, according to ESPN. He originally suffered the injury in a week one win over the Lions, but it is not known if he re-injured it on Sunday. This injury was originally described as a sore foot, but it is now clear that wasn't the case. There is no replacing Alexander in your lineup, but one of the first moves you should make is to pick up Maurice Morris, who will be the starter for the Seahawks. The loss of Alexander is bad news for the entire offense, but may lead to more passing attempts for Matt Hasselbeck, who is fresh off a five-touchdown performance. Once we find out the exact length of Alexander's absence, we'll let you know. ....and I just picked up Morris off of waivers.
9/25/2006 6:00:23 PM
bye bye ben watson, hello mo morris(didn't want to drop watson, slow start for the big guy but he'll put up numbers sooner or later... i have crumpler though and would likely start crump over watson every week.)my two RB's for next week (as of right now) are:T. Jones (vs SEA)M. Morris (vs CHI) Should I start:Travis Henry (vs ?) or DeAngelo Williams (vs SD) for one or both instead?
9/25/2006 6:26:45 PM
I would stick to the current guys. Jones played every offensive snap for Chicago and Morris will likely do the same, assuming Seattle doesn't go 5WR for most of the game.
9/25/2006 6:30:42 PM
Question: Culpepper is currently my starting quarterback, and Big Ben is my backup. David Carr is still available for pickup in my league. Should I pickup David Carr and drop Big Ben?Or should I wait it out another week to see if Big Ben produces better?
9/25/2006 7:16:26 PM
^keep him
9/25/2006 7:21:14 PM
The rookie from TB might be a good pickup if you're desperate for a QB. Those MAC QB's end up decent. Gradkowski? or something? He'll be decent.
9/25/2006 7:23:47 PM
I need to pick up a defense for this coming week. I'm thinking StLouis (vs. Det). Whom should I drop....a banged up Brandon Stokley, Jerricho Cotchery or Tampa Bay defense?
9/25/2006 7:37:00 PM
you are in a corny ass league Panthro for a "guru".You cant pick someone off "waivers" on a Monday night.Seattle players should be locked and the player should have to go through waivers. If you can just pick up any player right now that isn't what waivers means. That means you have free agency.Look up the definition of waivers and then get back to me.
9/25/2006 7:47:01 PM
Leinart starting for the Cardinalshttp://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2602503
9/25/2006 8:44:27 PM
Please give this to dunn to score...
9/25/2006 10:09:27 PM
I'd hate to have Dunn's job. Most of the time, he's the reason why Atlanta is in the red zone but once they get there, it's always Vick or a fullback or Crumpler that scores. Never Dunn. He does all the dirty work and the glory is for someone else. That's gotta suck.
9/25/2006 10:15:21 PM
^ He has been getting tons of praise from the analysts this season, so its not like all the glory is lostIt's not like he's the Denver or KC O-Line, who can make anyone an incredible running back.
9/25/2006 10:20:16 PM
Well fuck game over for me50 yard FG is worth 14 points, dumbass scoring.
9/25/2006 10:26:18 PM
how much is a td worth?if you have tds at 6 and 50 yard fgs at 14, that is truly retarted
9/25/2006 10:33:02 PM
9/25/2006 10:39:47 PM
I'm in a league where a 50-yard field goal is 7 points (thanks, Kasay), but 14? wtf?
9/25/2006 10:44:36 PM
14 is fucking stupid. Kasay would have scored 5000 points the last game.
9/25/2006 10:49:41 PM
Hmm...guy in my league has Warner and needs a QB asap.Thinking about giving me either...Deuce McCallister or Willis McGaheeforMichael Vick or Byron LeftwichThinking about trying to get Willis for Vick.
9/25/2006 11:19:44 PM
pull the trigger while that dude's thinkin like a nigger
9/25/2006 11:21:47 PM
9/25/2006 11:22:07 PM
thats incredibly dumbim down by 30 praying colston and carney have a career nightnot workin for me though
9/25/2006 11:24:49 PM
Okay, I need Horn and Deuce to keep not scoring any TD's.
9/25/2006 11:35:47 PM
I had warner too :-(. Problem is I don't really have trade bait since most of my team is waiver wire. TO, dunn, and parker are my best players. I'm 3-0 and have the most scoring, though!I hope people traded alexander yesterday when rallydurham told them to.[Edited on September 26, 2006 at 12:22 AM. Reason : fdsd]
9/26/2006 12:22:07 AM
pick up matt
9/26/2006 12:24:02 AM
Went 2-2 again this week. I'm still expecting better in the future.
9/26/2006 12:27:27 AM
should i start :Pennington vs. INDRivers @ Balt.Leinart @ Atl.?i'm thinking pennington cause baltimore is sick nasty and i want to test out matt for his debut
9/26/2006 12:31:21 AM
I would go with pennington.
9/26/2006 12:32:11 AM
Does anyone know if hicks or robinson will be the starting RB for SF while gore is out?
9/26/2006 12:37:51 AM
Gore is not out
9/26/2006 12:47:26 AM
i'm 5th in waiver orderhopefully the 4 in front of me are retards and won't pick up morris
9/26/2006 12:53:22 AM
Indianapolis plays the Jets in week 4.My opponent has Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, D. Rhodes, and Vinatieri. Basically, the Jets need to injure peyton manning.
9/26/2006 1:01:06 AM
What about this feat of daring:Starting Dunn and Norwood against Arizona. Game is at Atlanta, Lionheart should be starting, John Abraham might be back. It should be a blowout and garbage time for Norwood.Only other decent prospects left on waivers is the Tenn running backs. Not sure who will start -- brown or henry. Parker and Dunn are my only 2 RBs. We get return points (1 for 40), so that is another route (Kenny Watson -- cin).[Edited on September 26, 2006 at 3:18 AM. Reason : sdf]
9/26/2006 3:16:02 AM
the Cardinals will get the win.
9/26/2006 3:41:28 AM
the cardinals will not get the win.ATL will be fucking pumped and will run the ball down ARIZONA's throats.Lienart will look good, but ATL will dominate the clock.
9/26/2006 9:00:42 AM
I'm recalling the "guru's" expert status on account of the fact that he plays in a league that doesn't have waivers. In order to be a "guru" you can't play by chick rules.
9/26/2006 10:05:59 AM
9/26/2006 10:32:16 AM
should i drop brad johnson for brett favre?kurt warner is my top qb, but he's in the doghouse now...next week johnson has a better matchup with buffalo and favre has philly.advice?
9/26/2006 10:46:57 AM
actually, I like Favre's maychup much more than Johnson's.Buffalo has no Run defense, but they do have some great you secondary talent.Chester Taylor will get 30+ carries in this one, and I dont see Johnson getting more than 1 TD.Favre on the other hand is playing in Prime Time @ Philly, who has a depleted secondary to the point where both corners and a safety may be out for the game this weekend.I was against Favre earlier, but you have to ride this wave while its there.Go with Favre. If you are thin at WR or are in a deep league, see if G. Jennings is still available. He will either get 100 yards or a TD, possibly both this weekend.
9/26/2006 11:36:15 AM
i had alexanderso, somebody scooped up morris and my next most reliable backs are droughns, m. bell, benson, and turnerdroughns was out last week but is due to play this week against a soft oakland defenseshould i stick with him for the next few weeks or try to make a trade for him
9/26/2006 11:41:18 AM
K, hope someone can help me out a bit on who I should start. --starters--Culpepper vs HouRo. Williams vs StlK. Johnson vs NoT. Owens vs Ten W. Dunn vs AriC. Portis vs Jac--Bench--Rivers vs BalB. Berrian vs SeaJ. Cotchery vs IndD. Rhodes vs NYJM. Morris vs ChiI was thinking about dropping Culpepper and picking up either Leinart or Carr. What do you guys think?[Edited on September 26, 2006 at 12:17 PM. Reason : .]

Favre is gone now, Alex Smith or Brad Johnson for Week 4?
