It comes with the standard composite cables unfortunately. According to the link above, the Crossroads Target will have 60 consoles so hopefully it won't be a problem to pick one up.

i think metal slug anthology might be a good pickup on launch day for its contra-like multiplayer action

11/15/2006 3:45:19 PM

11/15/2006 7:32:36 PM
Getting my pre-order midnight Saturday from EBGames
11/15/2006 7:59:39 PM
Picked up my wii games today, though I can't play them till Sunday.
11/15/2006 8:41:51 PM
you're kidding! why not?!?!
11/15/2006 8:43:22 PM

11/15/2006 8:57:37 PM

11/15/2006 9:46:26 PM

11/15/2006 9:55:13 PM
PS3 vs. Wii commercialcos I hadn't seen it in a whilehttp://youtube.com/watch?v=giiCPKQn6M0
11/15/2006 10:23:48 PM
i just looked at the list of release dates on ign's website, and the immediate future doesn't look so good. zelda appears to be the only must-have game for some time. the verdict's still out on red steel and rayman. for 2007, release dates have not been established for metroid 3 and smash bros. unless you expect to get a lot of use out of the virtual console feature, you better hope zelda takes about 3-4 months to beat.or maybe red steel will turn out to be awesome.
11/15/2006 10:45:29 PM
are there other places selling games already?trying to go out and get them so I can focus on just the console come release day
11/15/2006 11:03:02 PM
gamestop at the mall got their systems yesterdaylooks kinda sweet. ill wait til more games come out or until they unveil alot of the virtual marketplace
11/15/2006 11:08:23 PM
^ do you know if the crabtree gamestop is giving them out at midnight or will we have to wait till noon when the mall opens sunday
11/15/2006 11:15:27 PM
^ The crabtree gamestop opens sunday at noon, I asked them today when I picked up Red Steel.
11/15/2006 11:35:29 PM
So they're already selling games? All of them or just a few of them?
11/16/2006 12:21:34 AM
all games
11/16/2006 12:23:53 AM
does best buy/target have games for sell yet?
11/16/2006 5:30:32 AM
they probably have them for sale.
11/16/2006 9:49:42 AM
in response to several people buying their games already, i called eb games to see if i could pick up zelda today, and they said zelda won't go on sale until sunday.[Edited on November 16, 2006 at 9:55 AM. Reason : so perhaps all games except zelda are on sale]
11/16/2006 9:55:22 AM
You can add Excite Truck to the list of games you have to wait until Sunday for. The only Wii games with street dates are the two that Nintendo is putting out.
11/16/2006 10:39:34 AM
well, Nintendo's announced that there will be an updated Wii next year w/ DVD playback. I wonder how many more features it'll have over the launch day model
11/16/2006 11:06:37 AM
i thought dvd playback wasn't important
11/16/2006 11:18:14 AM
and i thought the dvd playback was merely a software update. you'd download it next year on the wii you bought this year and viola, movie. for free too[Edited on November 16, 2006 at 11:49 AM. Reason : http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2006/11/15/dvd-upgrade-coming-next-year/]
11/16/2006 11:48:23 AM
^i've heard two different scenarios - that it would be a software download, or that it would take more than that and they'd be pushing out a new model that would support it (leaving those of us who got launch models SOL).http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/14/dvd-enhanced-wii-also-hits-us-latter-half-of-2007/"more than a firmware upgrade"[Edited on November 16, 2006 at 12:03 PM. 11/16/2006 11:59:52 AM
Why anyone would be pissed about the Wii not playing DVD's is beyond me, who doesn't fucking have a DVD player?
11/16/2006 12:03:44 PM
what the fuck, nintendo? way to go back on your whole "it's all about the games" mantra.
11/16/2006 12:04:46 PM
^^it's more of the "what else are they going to add besides DVD?" that's getting to me...must...ease...fears...
11/16/2006 12:08:00 PM
phewits a good thing ive already had a dvd player for the past 5 years
11/16/2006 12:30:13 PM
got zelda in my hands right now also: target and toys 'r us in x-roads didnt have games for sale..[Edited on November 16, 2006 at 12:49 PM. Reason : .]
11/16/2006 12:32:48 PM
Crabtree Gamestop just called me they are opening at 11 sunday instead of 12
11/16/2006 1:02:10 PM
do any stores now have demo Wii's that you can play with? i'd love to see what it's like
11/16/2006 2:11:31 PM
I think the BB on Capital has Zelda and the Babbages in the mall has Excite Truck.
11/16/2006 2:33:32 PM
the EB on Capital just said to call them late on Saturday to see if they are going ahead with their Wii Midnite sale. However the worker said they dont have many. And they did not have any games OR demo's. just fyi.
11/16/2006 2:52:09 PM
11/16/2006 4:03:40 PM
I understand that position, but what the fuck does it have to do with DVD playback? How would that change anything?
11/16/2006 5:14:47 PM
I am very torn on whether or not to try to pick up Excite Truck. I had fun playing it in Babbages, but reviews state that it lacks content (multiplayer hurts bad ) and it has a low difficulty (ie its always a close race no matter how poorly you do).On the other hand, I plan to play Zelda TP mostly so this would be an easy sort of fun break. On the other hand, this game is a perfect candidate for the trade in bins and will be relatively cheap pretty soon (assuming you are in the right place at the right time to snag a trade in).
11/16/2006 5:37:05 PM
if you go to best buy and ask them for zelda, they'll go in the back and get it for you.
11/16/2006 5:41:19 PM
too bad they dont have ray-man yet
11/16/2006 7:40:21 PM
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/16/nintendo-sells-out-of-wii-component-cables/Now who were those folks up here yelling that HD wasn't "a big deal" or "taken off" yet? Please speak up.
11/16/2006 7:44:13 PM
Dammit, my component cables are backordered.
