I thought Evtimov played 6 (partial) seasons for us, maybe it was just 5he seemed like he was here foreveroh well, I'll take my superior NBA knowledge over your superior knowledge of Evtimov's high school career]
5/21/2010 5:50:02 PM
I think it was 5. IIRC he tore his ACL in a preseason game and missed all of that upcoming season.
5/21/2010 6:06:08 PM
IIRC he tore his ACL when he tripped on the rim while doing some insane dunk[Edited on May 21, 2010 at 8:54 PM. Reason : IIRC, he had insane hops]
5/21/2010 8:53:53 PM
UncCharlotte just picked-up the next Evtimov a couple days ago, but he's from Slovenia instead of Bulgaria. my uncc-alumni buddy sent me a vid, but i can't find it now.
5/21/2010 9:18:29 PM
I asked a while back but does anybody know anything about Antonin Galaya? He has us listed on Scout with medium interest and we look like we are the only school on there worth playing for.http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=4597120
5/21/2010 9:24:56 PM
lol insane 12 inch vertical!^He won't get an offer]
5/21/2010 9:25:36 PM
I like hodges latest tweet
5/21/2010 9:47:40 PM
Painter went to the 24Hodge skills camp? I thought that was just for little kids!
5/21/2010 9:49:03 PM
5/21/2010 11:03:51 PM
looks like Josh Davis might end up at NC Centralgood for him....he'd definitely get a lot of playing time
5/22/2010 12:19:35 PM
half the people who post on TWW could prob get decent playing time at NCCU. i mean they are the worst division 1 school. THE worst.
5/22/2010 1:16:45 PM
that would be nice cause we'll probably play them once or twice while he is there
5/22/2010 2:20:16 PM
our out of conference schedule for next year is shaping up to be pretty decent...Arizona, Wisconsin and likely Syracuse and Georgetown.

it would be great if Hodge is right and Painter is really coming along. The starting line up we'll have with Harrow/Javi, CJ Williams, Scott Wood, and an improved Painter coming off the bench looks pretty bad ass on paper
5/25/2010 2:59:29 PM
^temper your expectations. that lineup looks okay...but i guess "badass" is a relative term.
5/25/2010 4:32:15 PM
5/25/2010 4:59:35 PM
no way in hell thats our starting lineuplol
5/25/2010 5:15:09 PM
Vyup misread itoooooops [Edited on May 25, 2010 at 5:44 PM. Reason : asdf]
5/25/2010 5:24:57 PM
Pretty sure yall are reading that wrong. I think he means that One of Javi/Harrow will be coming off of the bench along with CJ Williams, Scott Wood, and Painter.

5/25/2010 5:28:49 PM
please move stuff like this to another thread. the recruiting thread is derailed far too often and should probably be locked and restarted at this point.
5/25/2010 6:04:36 PM
i thought you lost the election
5/25/2010 9:04:54 PM
yeah no way Leslie or Brown compete for playing time
5/25/2010 9:26:09 PM
5/25/2010 10:02:47 PM
Predictions for our first 2011 commitment? We're losing Tracy and Javi to graduation, and prob CJL to the draft. We ought to at least grab a big man and someone to relieve Ryan.
5/26/2010 9:54:08 AM
Does anyone have a list of all the recruits we're going after right now?
5/26/2010 10:14:54 AM
I wish we could use Sid's Dematha connections this yearThese guys would be the perfect replacements for Javi and Tracy.
5/26/2010 10:37:25 AM
Rivals has a better list than Scout - idk why Scout doesn't list all these players.5* PG: Quinn Cook5* F: Quincy Miller4* F: Tyler Harris4* F: Dorian Finney-Smith4* C: Desmond Hubert4* F: Rodney Hood4* C: Marshall Plumlee4* F: LaQuinton Ross3* G: Tony Kimbro3* G: Andrew White3* G: Bishop Daniels3* F: Jacob Lawson3* F: Durand Johnson3* G: Jerome Seagears3* F: Darius Nelson3* G: Lonnie Jackson3* C: Deng Leek3* F: Quddus (Deuce) Bello3* C: John Cannon3* G: Angel Rodriquez
5/26/2010 10:39:57 AM
werent we in the running for LaQuinton Ross at some point?
5/26/2010 11:28:28 AM
In the running is pretty strong. We were just listed since we were one of his earlier confirmed offers.
5/26/2010 11:33:04 AM
5/26/2010 12:06:47 PM
Coach Strickland is also from DeMatha.

Are you including Wake in the "tough team" category for next year?
5/26/2010 2:33:51 PM
5/26/2010 2:41:22 PM
With the recruits that Wake has, they shouldn't be a pushover team.
5/26/2010 2:42:39 PM
^^^^ where is our in conference schedule for next year?
5/26/2010 2:55:15 PM
5/26/2010 2:58:07 PM
^^^^^^^ ah, Mikael Hopkins. My bad man, I'm on here at work - I think IT blocked the image.Even though we're not included in his list of schools, I'm sure Coach Lowe has checked him out at some point. I haven't seen anything in the news about him.
5/26/2010 3:09:51 PM
5/26/2010 3:41:46 PM
Im glad we play the Dookies twice, I hate just playing them once!
5/26/2010 3:47:57 PM
I haven't seen much about any 2011 recruits, but those that we're in on for the 2012 class seem to be really good. Getting in early with Uchebo could be huge.

Here's Johnson, who graduated high school in 2009. Scout.com says he's enrolled at Laurinburg Prep here in NC. So he's likely trying to enroll for this season. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncstate/basketball/recruiting/player-Karron-Johnson-53822http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=2371479And from the USA today last August:Oklahoma State coach Travis Ford said Wednesday that touted recruit Karron Johnson won't be joining the Cowboys this season. Ford said Johnson is instead headed to a junior college, but he hopes the 6-foot-7 power forward could still be a part of the Cowboys' future.Ford was optimistic that Johnson would be able to qualify academically and join Oklahoma State's freshman class next season. Johnson, who was attending Mount Zion Christian Academy in Durham, N.C., had been considered one of the top 50 recruits in the country by several ratings services when he signed with Oklahoma State in November.http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/big12/2009-08-19-oklahoma-st-recruit_N.htm
5/26/2010 4:19:23 PM
As much as I would love to land Cook there's <.0001% chance we land him.He knows about the DeMatha connection, but apparently doesn't think too much about it.]
5/26/2010 5:03:00 PM
karron johnson is a major headcase. he has good talent and athleticism but given sid's past with problem players I don't think it'd be a good idea. Then again, he'd be a luxury recruit at this stage and if he doesn't work out he could always transfer
