back to lifting today.

1 mile run to the gym

smith machine squats: 1x10 (#50), 1x10(#90), 1x8 (#90)

super set curls/ shoulder press: 3x10 (#30 barbell)

single leg press: 1 x10 (#100), 1x6 (#120), 1x4 (#140)

hamstring curls: 1x10 (#70), 1x8 (#80), 1x6 (#90)

1 mile light jog home my legs were like jello.

i know the numbers look wonky but im feeling it out a bit

played racquetball for 45 min. not the usual casually beat the competition, barely break a sweat kind though - played by myself, did some fast-paced, aerobic training exercises. i was dead tired almost all afternoon - have been full of energy since

Haha. I already avoid squats when I can.

Just curious about leg work with weights managed into a cardio schedule.

Joke is on you. After four months of not bending my arms I can now max out on the fly machine.

Surgery on 9/20 and then me getting out of shape for 3 months.

The fly machine is terrible. Do them with dumbbells.

I do machine and dumbbell flies for chest because I can't do much else.

I was putting up 245 before my elbow broke.

Hyperextended it in wrestling practice in high school circa 1997. Last May it finally got bad enough to warrant going to the doc for it. Surgery scheduled for 9/20.

20 minutes HIIT (the theme was "hands free")
20 minute / 2 mile run. I wanted to run more but I get bad ear aches when the temperature drops below 60 and I couldn't find my headband fleece

Anyone else get ear aches when the temp drops below a certain point?

i signed up for a new gym membership today, starts at the beginning of next month
but punchmonk will be having baby3 around then so i'm having them delay it during the 6 week recovery period
rounded to the next month

^^ finally went today. Ran 2 miles on the treadmill, only took me 25 minutes

[Edited on June 12, 2012 at 11:17 PM. Reason : 2.25 miles if you count cool down mode. Which I do.]

aside from 95 degree temperatures when applicable, i don't get the appeal of treadmills over just going outside and running

i prefer to run outside as well, but usually not when it's pouring outside at 10 pm

lol its raining its ass off, but if it was 62 with a breeze, i still wouldnt normally run at 10pm

and if you're paying for a gym membership, i'd suggest using some of the weight machines or free weights as well, since thats not something you can just go outside and do for free
