Yeah I played on absolute back when I first started and had cashed out by check once before, but I wasn't sure how shady of a process it would be to cash out my money that came from a free 10$ they gave me (I hadn't played more then 300 hands with it, wasn't sure if there would be a restriction). So I was quite happy to see it processed in about 10 minutes. Now to get it off epassporte

Yes, it is still pretty damn impressive.

Haha. I've never played less than $10 tables.

In the 1 dollars my longest non-cash streak is 7.Seriously you could sit out the entire time and have a reasonable chance of cashing.

whenever absolute gives me that free 10, I usually just throw it on a hand of blackjack.
3/20/2008 12:02:52 PM
Yeah I normally put it on a sng, but I decided to test my luck at a cash game (i never do well in sng's when playing one at a time). I dropped fast from 10 to 7 and was about to cash out and do a sng when I tripled up, then took 150$ off the same guy. Moron on mega tilt woo!

What program do the people on cardrunners use to make their graphs and charts and such, is that PAHUD? I want to start playing more organized and paying attention to my profits and how I'm playing and such.
3/22/2008 10:34:56 AM
I use Tourney Manager for my SNGs, and Poker Tracker for my cash games.http://www.pokertracker3.com/http://www.tourneymanager.net/
3/22/2008 2:59:23 PM
Is there a way on Stars to reserve heads up SNG tables? Me and a friend want to play each other heads up and its impossible to get seated at the same table. Any way to do this or make it easier?

Yeah that was one of those hands where I couldn't believe I was actually ahead (I would've been fine being up against 2p there, and he hadn't played strong enough before to make me think he had a set). Then the turn and the river... I wasn't happy.
3/24/2008 12:56:01 PM
1. don't shortstack2. don't play heads up at this level. rake will eat you up3. i don't know too much about heads up omaha, but I don't think I like getting it in here with basically only a flush draw and a gutter to the 2nd nuts.
3/24/2008 3:13:03 PM
Only reason I had sat down was because I had just taken 40$ off him at another table and noticed he had 20$ there. He added 20 more a few hands in. And like I said - I wasn't expecting to be ahead on the flop, I just liked my odds... but once he flipped I couldnt believe how the hand ended.
3/24/2008 4:25:31 PM
Anyone else notice people playing incredibly tight nowadays? I just started playing online this week again after taking a break for about a month and it seems EVERYONE folds to 3bets. I used to see people all in preflop all the time, I finally got someone to put me all in preflop today (I'm talking decent sized stacks, not just short stacks) after 3000 hands with QQ vs my AA.

Kind of a neat story....As many of you may or may not know, I have been in the Navy for nearly 11 years now on submarines. I went to school at NCSU a few years back on a program that let my time in college actually count for active duty. It was a great deal. Anyway I am stationed on a submarine out of Bangor, Washington now. I have been out 4 times now, each time for a period of about 3 months. As you may or may not imagine, life can get pretty tedious being underway with 150 dudes, no women, and no sunlight, so we play cards occasionally to ease the stress. There is a guy who I play with and talk to a lot about poker, and I have for the past year. He's a nice guy, decent player. We like to talk strategy, hand theory, etc. Anyway, today we were at work (in an actual building) and he was surfing around on the net showing me some websites he frequents and how you can type in players names and see how good they are. Most of mine didn't work because they were either outdated or not supported (I only play BoDog now). Anyway I told him to type in PearlJammed, because I knew Turner's would pop up and he had good stats. Anyway, the guy was like, "What are you doing a search for Jon Turner for?" I was fairly shocked that he could identify Turner from only a screen name, and I asked him how he knew him. He was like, "Jon Turner is one of the best online players in the world."Now..... I didn't know this. I knew Jon was doing well, but I didn't know that some hillbilly from Oregon would know him. I told the guy that I used to play with Jon almost every night for a couple years, played in our first tournament together, went to Atlantic City together. The guy was actually amazed. I don't think I could have gotten a better reaction if I told him I was banging Carrie Underwood (which would be way better than knowing Jon Turner...)So anyway Jon, if you're reading this, I guess you're famous, at least in the world of online poker. Congrats on all the success and maybe you can send an autographed picture to me someday.

jimb1979You'll find me frequenting $5 and $10 sit-n-gos occasionally. I haven't played more than maybe 3 hours a week lately, mostly because of work and stuff. However, I do have a 7 straight heads-up winning streak in progress. Go me.
3/24/2008 10:14:14 PM
haha pretty good story above
3/24/2008 10:15:10 PM
Was playing with my cousin and a few people a few years ago. I had suited King, Ace of clubs. After the turn Jack, Queen, 10, 6, 2 was out (10, J, Q of clubs). My cousin went all in (he had off suit K, A), someone else went all in with suited 9, 8 clubs. I won obviously.Another story I was playing with some friends a few years ago before i came to college and I had pocket A's. Someone else had pocket Ks. The flop showed K, K, A. Someone who was short stack went all in on a bluff. I called because I had a full house with A's and K's. Other dude calls with 4 K's. He has the best hand right now. Side pot between me and this guy. He bets pretty light knowing he has the best hand to dry to lure me in. Thinking I have the best hand I bite and start getting pulled in tossing out lots of chips. The turn helps nobody. I go all in, he calls. He shows 4 Kings, I show my full house A,s over K's. My lucky day, the river brought me a 4th A. I won. He was chip leader before that by far but I took him to almost nothing and eventually won that night.

i have never witnessed 4 of a kind getting beat. pretty wild to see it happen i'm sure.
3/26/2008 7:50:47 PM
I saw a hand awhile back on YouTube... it may have been linked in this very thread, where three guys had AA, 22, and 3c4c, and the final board was Ac 2c 2h 5c x. There was definitely a lot of action on the river. If I recall right the dude hit his straight flush on the river.... I don't remember if the river paired the board or if it had already paired on the turn.
3/26/2008 9:34:43 PM
My buddy had his four of a kind 8s beaten by a straight flush once at a cash table. Sadly it wasn't on one of Absolute's jackpot tables.
