I very much dislike the man, but comments like that are very ignorant and you know it. I don’t know how many billionaires out there have half a billion in liquid assets that they can turn on a dime and produce.I’ve never been a billionaire though, so I may be wrong.

3/21/2024 3:08:36 PM
3/21/2024 7:01:51 PM
other than what he claims about his net worth, what evidence is there that he is a billionaire in 2024?
3/21/2024 7:12:38 PM
We shouldn't "forget" to consider liabilities in net worth calculations. There are a lot of outwardly rich people who are leveraged to the max.
3/21/2024 9:43:55 PM
Forbes says he's worth about $2.6B. Though who knows how much debt he has.
3/21/2024 11:02:24 PM
Will this guy EVER be held to account on this earth? Hopes are fading.
3/25/2024 1:26:29 PM
No.And knuckle-dragging populous knows it.They'll eventually be empowered to kill whoever of their neighbors they choose to.And it's because everybody laughed at the Tea Party instead of seeing what it was and what was happening.
3/25/2024 2:08:49 PM
Was there an explanation for why his bond was lowered from $454 to 175 million? And given an additional 10 days to come-up with it?
3/25/2024 2:19:49 PM
Because bond companies don't do that much, so it was practically impossible to secure that. They had evidence for approaching many companies for it.
3/25/2024 2:25:43 PM
Nobody would give two shits if you, I, or anyone else were unable to find a bond company. Yet this turd gets special treatment. Again.
3/25/2024 2:32:20 PM
Maybe? People get extensions in court cases all the time if things are deemed to be improbable. Someone can find the common law specifics for me. But yes, of course, rich and/or famous people have advantages... but that isn't limited to Trump in any way. There have probably been 100 far more egregious cases in the last year that were of some obscure corporate case that we never even heard of or bothered to discuss.[All] Glory to TGL3,emnsk

^"Bullshit"Read the court filings, it has them reaching 30+ companies. You could also just read an article on the topic. https://www.newsweek.com/full-list-companies-denied-trump-bond-1880543
3/27/2024 3:28:54 AM
OK, I guess you're right. He can find someone to bond him for 100mill. He can presumably find someone to bond him for 175mill. But he just can't seem to find anyone willing to bond him for the full amount of the exact same order of magnitude, while taking home 115mill in risk-free money in the process. And, even though he can secure 175mill for this judgement, he's totally unable to get another 100mill and 175mill from 2 other agencies. This totally makes sense. And, to go further, he can absolutely secure a 450mill bond by paying 570mill in cash and securities except for the agencies' refusals, but he totally can't pay 450mill straight to the State of NY. Trump totally isn't full of shit here...(Btw, I'm calling bullshit on Trump's absurd claims here, not on you)Also, the article you provided says exactly what I said: the companies won't take real estate as collateral for a bond of this size. It in no way says they won't do a bond of this size at all.]
3/27/2024 9:05:41 AM
In case you're curious, here's an article which points out that the claims of being "unable to secure a bond of that size" are wholly attributed to individuals of dubious credibility...https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2024/03/20/trump-bond-letitia-james-fraud-new-york/

I feel like this trial will do nothing to persuade like 44% of voting Americans
4/23/2024 9:59:49 PM
It isn't about the 44%, it is about the 2-3% in swing states and about motivating those aligned with the Democrat party to come out and vote.
4/23/2024 10:29:06 PM
^^ This is easily the weakest of the 4 criminal trials, by far. It was a nakedly political prosecution, done largely so that Bragg could be the first to criminally indict a former president. The core argument is essentially "Cheeto tried to advance his campaign to influence the election." Well, no shit, Sherlock.
4/23/2024 11:01:05 PM
I guess that is one way to normalize this behavior
4/23/2024 11:13:27 PM
^^Cohen went to jail for this literal exact crime a few years ago. Not political Actually relates to the core of campaign finance law. Might as well repeal the laws if this doesn’t matter
4/24/2024 12:45:16 AM
^ Except he kind of didn't. It was tacked on to his plea deal for tax evasion and multiple counts oflying to federal investigators during the investigation. They tacked on the campaign finance thing at the end to justify the whole thing, sure, but it was really just slam dunking on him at that point. They had him on far more serious shit.]
4/24/2024 1:09:30 AM
TIL that Michael Cohen didn't actually plead guilty to campaign finance violations.
4/25/2024 7:55:40 AM
I’m guessing the stormy trial will just result in probationAnd the classified docs trial is delayed indefinitelySo looks like jail time is off the menu
