You seem like a real fun guy.

Dude grew up in a UNC house and as a UNC fan. Not every school gives scholarships to long snappers, so he took the offer from us to lock up a spot. Once UNC offered I believe most assumed he was gone and some reports out we started looking for a back-up plan weeks ago. Can't fault a kid for going to his life-long favorite school, hell he turned down a scholarship to UGA too. Finding a long snapper shouldn't be too hard. Really feels like part of the offer for Little was to get back at us and some feels like it's just to encourage CJ Clark(4* DT teammate) to follow him and commit to UNC over us.
4/30/2018 10:13:17 AM
Landed 3* LB tonight. 2019 LB Jaylon Scott. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder is rated the No. 30 outside linebacker in the country and No. 20 rising senior in the state & had offers from Clemson, Colorado, Duke, Maryland, North Carolina, Syracuse and West Virginia.
5/16/2018 10:34:41 PM
nice. seems like a solid pick up
5/17/2018 8:57:19 AM
Think if we can land Drake Thomas we'll be fairly set at LB for the next few years. Wouldn't be surprised to see Payton Wilson move to DE though.
5/17/2018 3:00:21 PM
sounds like we're also in pretty good with LB Traveon Freshwater, who has a great name, is a high 3 star, and is teammates with 4 star athlete JR Walker (who called State his leader a couple months ago)
5/17/2018 4:31:14 PM
isnt drake thomas thayer thomas's brother? and we just awarded him a scholarship, so you think there'd be some good vibes there.
5/17/2018 5:24:07 PM
yes, they are brothers.i hope we get freshwater because holy shit that's helluva a name
5/17/2018 6:05:06 PM
Drake is also best friends with payton wilson. It was said during wilsons 2nd recruitment that whoever got him would likely get drake as well.
5/17/2018 6:06:55 PM
5/18/2018 8:47:20 AM
Hes already listed at 236 on gopack. Thats prolly just weight he put on from not being able to condition properly after his knee injury though. I too wouldnt be surprised to see him end up at DE
5/18/2018 8:57:11 AM
Any chance the kid who decommiteed from duke signs with us?
5/21/2018 1:38:11 PM
^We never stopped recruiting him even after he committed. We'll be active but I think he's going to let his recruitment play out for a while. Not one of those cases where he decommitted because he was 100% ready to commit somewhere else.
5/21/2018 2:55:20 PM
Well, we just picked-up another RB, Jamious Griffin out of Georgia[Edited on May 21, 2018 at 5:30 PM. Reason : the duke guy is a RB too]
5/21/2018 5:29:57 PM
3 star from GA...offers from Ole Miss, GT, South Carolina and several smaller programs.
5/21/2018 5:48:19 PM
Luke Deal, TE (3* on Rivals and 247, 4* on ESPN) is deciding on Friday. sounds like he's down to us, Clemson, Auburn, Michigan, and ND. Jamari Williams OG 3* is also deciding Friday...sounds like it's down to us and Louisville, but UL is expected to get him from what I read. Carter Colquitt OT 3* i think is deciding next Monday (28th). sounds like it's down to us and Ole Miss.
5/22/2018 9:39:38 AM
Staff apparently sees Knight as an ATH and still really want to land him. Sounds like Pennix where they'll give him a crack at RB but think he has the tools to play multiple positions. Look at 5* RB(#1 RB in the '19 class) Quavaris Crouch. A lot of analysts think he's actually a better prospect at LB than RB. That's pretty crazy.
5/22/2018 9:40:42 AM
^^colquitt isnt deciding on monday. Hes gonna take an OV to state and ole miss before deciding.^word is crouch may actually prefer to play LB in college so teams are recruiting him as an athlete
5/22/2018 10:14:10 AM
Yeah Colquitt should decide in June. Williams is picking UL. Deal is really interesting. Know he's our #1 TE and has offers from basically every big time school(think Bama just offered him last week). Sounds like no one is sure where he's going but rumors that Clemson isn't going to be the landing spot, which is pretty surprising because I felt like they were the favorite to land him from the beginning.
5/22/2018 11:38:34 AM
saw it posted elsewhere that he was deciding the 28th. obviously that was wrong. my bad.
5/22/2018 12:08:03 PM
i guess this is where the thing about Colquitt announcing soon came from...InsidePackSports tweeted this:
5/22/2018 12:48:48 PM
Was posted yesterday on packpride that he had decided against deciding in may and instead wanted to take visits to ole miss and nc state in june. He originally was going to announce on monday
5/22/2018 2:30:01 PM
gotcha, that's what i figured after you and Luda said he'd be announcing later.
5/22/2018 2:36:08 PM
Next decisions coming we should be paying attention to: Luke Deal(4* TE) - 5/25 Drake Thomas(3* LB) - 6/1Carter Colquitt(3* OL) - Likely mid-to-late June(last OV will be with NC State the weekend of 6/14)Jacob Zeno(3* QB) also posted something about "big news coming" on Twitter last night, so perhaps a commitment soon? Not sure if we lead, but we're in it.
5/23/2018 9:16:04 AM
^on zeno, apparently the main dude at packpride thinks the qb we ultimately end up with hasnt been offered yet...so i guess he doesnt feel great about our chances with zeno, calzada or johnson
5/23/2018 10:28:59 AM
WR Donovan Greene decommits from Duke, another big target potentially
5/23/2018 10:41:19 AM
WTH is going on a duke
5/23/2018 11:57:11 AM
I think they just put a ton of pressure on a visiting group to commit one weekend and so they were probably soft commits all along
5/23/2018 12:16:39 PM
^Plus Duke has a strict no visits allowed for committed players. This rule helped lead to Palmer decommitting last year.
5/23/2018 5:46:10 PM
Deal to auburn.
5/26/2018 8:24:12 AM
Heritage LB Drake Thomas (brother of WR Thayer Thomas and friends with LB Payton Wilson) committed to State over Clemson, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, etc. 247 ranks him as a three star, #543 nationally, #22 at LB, and #22 in NC.
6/1/2018 3:51:32 PM
Drake Thomas to State3* LB[Edited on June 1, 2018 at 3:52 PM. Reason : 8 seconds! ]

Hell yeah, somebody turn the red light on in here! I am also surprised with schools like Alabama and Clemson recruiting him that he wasn’t ranked higher.
6/1/2018 8:25:44 PM
3* wr keyon lesane
6/1/2018 8:32:08 PM
Two red lights in one day???
6/1/2018 8:32:51 PM
Yep
6/2/2018 2:19:07 AM
Sounds like we beat out UNC for Lesane. Always good to beat them out for a recruit.
6/2/2018 10:50:11 AM
3* OL Zovon Lindsay commits
6/2/2018 2:02:05 PM
Keep em coming. Offers from WV, SCar, Wake, UVA. DL in high school but sounds like he’s probably gonna be OL in college.
6/2/2018 2:49:31 PM
O-Line and D-Line are two positions I don't care how the recruits are ranked when we get commits from them....Dave and Co have proven that they know what they're doing when getting guys in for those positions

^ and apparently there is a 3rd brother who is a qb and possibly the best of them.Glad dad likes the pack
6/4/2018 2:01:00 PM
Jordyn Adams, unc wr recruit ranked 58 in nation, drafted 17 in MLB draft. Get that money kid!!!
6/4/2018 11:52:04 PM
CJ Clark 4-Star Defensive Tackle (6’3”/308) will be announcing June 18th. He list us in his top 5, we were the 1st to offer and he has been on campus several times, most recently at the spring game. He says UNC is recruiting him the hardest. He is a consensus 4-Star prospect. Rivals ranks him as the #192 overall player in the 2019 Class, and ESPN ranks him as the #6 player in the state.Anyone know what our chances are???
6/5/2018 5:26:44 PM
Slim. I think most expect UGA

http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/23708552/jordyn-adams-north-carolina-tar-heels-recruit-sign-los-angeles-angels
6/5/2018 10:51:31 PM
Yeah Clark visited UGA, then had a visit to SC scheduled and cancelled it to go back to UGA with his family, and then announced his commitment date shortly after. He's going to UGA. Though we're having camps Friday and Saturday, so don't be surprised to see another commitment or two.
6/6/2018 8:56:38 AM
Savion Jackson, DE from Clayton & 31st ranked player in ‘19 committing June 13th. State in his top 5 but was at SC recently; has offers from everyone. Any chance we land him?
6/6/2018 10:10:28 PM
