we got most everything we wanted, as far as deaths and resolution go

but I would've liked more info about some of the loose ends (one montage might've solved this for me): is Brock in some orphanage now? What about Lydia's kid? How's Saul doing in Nebraska? Is Huell still wasting away in that hotel room? What do Badger and Skinny Pete do with their new money? Are they still doing meth?

you do realize the show is fake? there are no loose ends in a fake show. it ends. that's not story they were trying to tell.

I realize the show is fiction

but there are plenty of small things they could've dealt with to round it out

they didn't even let Walt Jr talk to his dad in the final episode: that's definitely directly related to Walt

[Edited on September 29, 2013 at 10:46 PM. Reason : curious what Jesse does now, too]

seriously? they did a pretty good job of a) dealing with their relationship with their final phone call and b) Walt seeing him one last time from afar was pretty perfect

This has nothing to do with tying up loose ends. It was just something that simply could not happen. Walt Jr has to remain ignorant of many things, namely his mother's involvement in everything.

I know some people are going to bitch about this being too convenient of a wrap up. One thing I really wanted to see was Walt go down in a huge blue explosion. I also wanted Jesse to walk outside, grab the M60 and blow Todd into a thousand pieces. I wanted more violence.

^dude jesse killing todd was brutal as fuck, not only did he stangle him which is a hella personal way to kill someone, I'm pretty sure I heard todd's neck snap.

so far all the "I hate Walt" people...and granted, you're certainly entitled to change your opinion since he seemed to redeem himself in the final episode...but for the people who went from liking Walt early in the show, to just hating him...including the prison hits he ordered, what innocent people did he kill over the entire course of the show of him being some evil monster? A lawyer (in the prison hits)? And arguably Jesse's girlfriend? People make it seem like the dozens of people he killed over the course of the show made him some evil monster, when 90%+ of them were violent criminals or people who knew what they were involved with

^^^Its a show full of bad guys, aside from maybe Walt Jr and Holly. What makes Walt so much worse than anyone else in the show?

and Hank is too busy beating the shit out of Jesse to say that

none of them were good guys. and most them died like they should have. Walt constantly put his family and close people to him in danger over and over again and lie like no man has lie before. It was downright arrogant. I'm glad the show never showed the meth users end of the story. I bet he's filling graves by the minute

Not the story they were telling, all those guys you mentioned are mere props.

Also, Walt looking at Walt Jr. from the distance was deeper imo than if he were to talk to him one last time.

This was both a good and bad ending to me.. exactly how I wanted it.

What about Combo's mom?!

Ending was great but a little boring, if only because everything that everyone thought would happen, happened.

^^Had the same reaction. Love the show, but the ending was a bit of a letdown if only because they telegraphed it. No surprises.

Love the deadpan line "If we're gonna go that way, you're gonna need a bigger knife".

Yeah. I didn't have a single end of my seat moment during the finale. That said I've decided not to nitpick. I consider "Ozymandias" to be the finale, with the last two as an epilogue. All in all, a very solid ending to a great show.

I don't know about edge of seat, but my heart was pounding throughout the episode especially during the elliott/gretchen "sniper" scene, and the lead-in to the machine gun turret barrage.

All in all, every character received the ending they deserved, and i don't see how they could have ended the show in any other way. The last scene with walt in the meth lab made me happy and sad at the same time.
