I don't think anyone is upset about what you wear. If you want to wear a propellor beanie, stegosaurus breifs and pink rollerskates, be my guest, as long as you meet local decency laws I don't have any problem with it. Your problem is that you now know that everyone thinks you look stupid in cargo shorts and you're trying to convince yourself that it's not true. Good luck with that.

Just an FYI, there are plenty of other things that look worse than cargo shorts, just keep in mind when you wear them you look like you've been buying the same clothes since 1998, which is probably accurate.

Cargo shorts are definately better than a fedora. Cargo short guy says he wants to be comfortable and carry useless stuff so bad he's willing to look like a lazy slob for it, a fedora says "I want to look dressed up, but this hat is all the effort I'm willing to put forward and somehow undoes the anime print button down that I'm wearing".

Fedoras are unforgivable, cargo shorts at least get a 21+ page of back and forth with some elbow room to say "I don't like them, but I won't shit on you in public for wearing them" and so on.

I honestly am curious if there's overlap with the fedora scum on TWW. I actually don't know what our neckbeard population is like.
