ABC said it, not the producers.ABC has lied to us before.

Worst Lost Episode EverThey built this up for weeks and it was a steaming pile of shit. Why did Michael go back on the boat? Unless you consider that blank Michael stare with his mouth open an answer...Michael doesn't even know. I like how we have this top secret mission to find this super dangerous man Ben, but we don't even screen our calls from the "mainland". I guess Miles got the grenade out of his mouth after it was in there for about 4 days. He seemed to be just chipper. It looks like the cast was getting a little too full, so we have some Ewoks in the jungle kill the French woman and Ben's daughter's boyfriend. How original. Between watching Belmont alley oop the game away against Duke and this episode of Lost, I'm not sure I've watched a more disappointing hour of television.
3/20/2008 10:19:47 PM
You obviously haven't been watching LOST very long if you think this was the worst episode ever.
3/20/2008 10:22:10 PM
^^ you could try books or something.
3/20/2008 10:26:16 PM
3/20/2008 10:37:30 PM
i expect something bad will happen from Sayid turning Michael in and Ben will later use this to turn him into his personal assassin. Also, at the beginning of season 3's finale, was Jack trying to jump off the bridge and the island wouldn't let him?
3/20/2008 10:37:47 PM
FUCK YOU ABC. One month break, then back on at 10pm?!?!? Why the fuck would they bump it to 10, and why the fuck are they taking a break after promising uninterrupted episodes. Seems like they had enough of a bumper to be uninterrupted due to the writers strike.
3/20/2008 10:54:43 PM
^ must not have gotten enough episodes out to make up for the writer's strike gap?^^interesting...forgot that Sayid is Ben's bitch in the future.
3/20/2008 11:07:46 PM
^^ I think you meant "buffer", and I don't recall ABC ever promising and uninterrupted season. I think you'll survive a 1 month break.Oh, and is the 10 pm slot past your bedtime?^^^ Wow, didn't think of that. Those are some very reasonable theories there.
3/21/2008 12:47:33 AM
eh, bumper buffer whatever No its not past my bedtime but if you recall Lost's ratings didn't do as well in the 10pm time slot last season. (though with an injury I sustained last wk I've been trying to go to bed earlier to help my body heal). And they did promise uninterrupted episodes.
3/21/2008 6:00:06 AM
They promised uninterrupted before the writers strike, and have since explained how the rest of the seasons episodes will work due to the strike.

So I know Ben is a pretty powerful dude and all. But (assuming that Whidmore put the fake plane down there) how the hell did he get ahold of the records of all the measures Whidmore took to fake the crash site? Whidmore is obviously a very powerful guy, so you would think he would cover up his paper trail a lot better than that. This leads me to think that Ben is the one who orchestrated the fake crash site, but it just seems like Whidmore would be more of the type of guy to do that. Also I'd really like to know how Whidmore found out about the island and how he knows who Ben is.
3/21/2008 8:07:43 AM
widmore knew about the island b/c he knew about the dharma initiative, which was a group designed to experiment the unique properties of the islandwidmore created a race around the world in order to try and locate the whereabouts fo the islanddesmond ended up entering the race, and crashlanding on the island (maybe coincidence)
3/21/2008 8:36:18 AM
Libby gave desmond the boat, so Im not too sure that was a coincidence.
3/21/2008 10:02:30 AM
^true, forgot about that...so maybe desmond was "meant" to find the islandwidmore used desmond's love for penny to use him as a pawn
3/21/2008 10:03:04 AM
Oh yeah and as a small sidenote (not really too significant) but when Michael saw the hallucination of Nurse Libby, she was folding hospital blankets. She was holding blankets when Michael shot her.
3/21/2008 10:08:04 AM
^ nice catch
3/21/2008 10:23:01 AM
when michael saw the man next to him in the hospital, hooked up to the machines...some people are saying that was alvar hanso. based on pictures of him...here is the website that has the "easter eggs"http://getlostpodcast.com/2008/03/20/lost-episode-408--meet-kevin-johnson-easter-eggs-and-screencaps.aspx
3/21/2008 11:07:16 AM
3/21/2008 12:50:23 PM
and the list micheal got was the list sayid has to use now.. duh.
3/21/2008 1:00:32 PM
wow, there are some whiny bitches in this thread. last night's episode was good
3/21/2008 3:14:34 PM
yeah, i thought it was a good one too, and answered a lot of questions
3/21/2008 3:16:02 PM
I'm trying to think when Tom had the time to leave the island for New York, when he seemed to be in most Season 3 episodes, especially the early ones when Jack, Kate, & Sawyer were being held prisoner. Considering Season 3 took place over the course of about a month, maybe an average of 1-1.5 days/episode, that's cutting it kind of close.
3/21/2008 3:48:16 PM
^ Season 3 starts on Day 69, and we're on Day 90 now, so just barely 3 weeks.
3/21/2008 5:21:33 PM
^^ Not really, airplanes are pretty fast these days.^ The freighter was there long before day 90, though. And it would probably take at least a week for Michael to get from New York to Fiji to the island. Last night's episode presumably took place during the Season 3 timeframe.[Edited on March 21, 2008 at 5:23 PM. Reason : ]
3/21/2008 5:21:41 PM
My friend was saying Tom may not be dead
3/21/2008 5:22:38 PM
that would be a great theory except for the fact he was shot and buried in a shallow grave
3/21/2008 5:24:04 PM
that'd be like saying "thats a great theory but he was shot with a harpoon gun" or "thats a great theory but we say his brain melted by the fence at the outside of the compound"as we know so far just because we see someone die, doesn't mean they're dead.
3/24/2008 8:37:19 AM
I'm pretty sure he is dead. There can only be one Mikhail, and he will never die (regardless of how many grenades explode in his face).
3/24/2008 9:02:08 AM
or however many harpoons stab him. Its pretty hard to play dead when you get stabbed... the writers should have thought that out better
3/24/2008 9:28:34 PM
Actually, maybe they dig up Tom, and Jack punches him in the chest repeatedly, and it will bring him back to life. Worked before
3/24/2008 9:29:52 PM
next time, instead of double posting, just edit your original post and add your comments.
3/25/2008 7:18:52 AM
yes, that is very important. We want to keep our 21 thread page short and concise
3/25/2008 8:06:52 AM
whatever. anybody else would have said the same thing.
3/25/2008 8:12:23 AM
and by pointing that out and having a conversation about it, really keeps the clutter out.
3/25/2008 11:39:51 AM
because this apparently isn't clear enough...
3/25/2008 12:34:17 PM
I could give a shit about Michael, Jack, Kate, or the supposed futureflashes. They promised we would learn about JACOB! That is the really cool sheeeit IMO...They LIED
3/25/2008 1:06:56 PM
3/25/2008 1:08:21 PM
wow, here is an impressive and elaborate theory explaining nearly everything on Lost. Will be interesting to see if some or all of this is true. It goes on for several pages (which I need to re-read), but the crux of it is that the Island is in a sort of time-loop between 1996 and 2004http://timelooptheory.com/http://timelooptheory.com/the_timeline.htmhttp://timelooptheory.com/q_and_a.htm
3/26/2008 10:32:45 PM
I'm pretty sure that the Black Rock is older than that. The Black Rock looks like some kind of Spanish Galleon from like the 1600s-1800s, and it definitely looks wind powered. By the 1900s most ships were steam powered, or at least didn't rely on sails. It probably wouldn't have much of an effect on that timeline though.[Edited on March 27, 2008 at 8:30 AM. Reason : This missile knows where it is, because it knows where it isn't.]
3/27/2008 8:26:34 AM
wasn't the black rock a slave ship?
3/27/2008 8:37:40 AM
Yeah I think so (I recall there were skeletons shackled to the sides of the ship) but still, most countries had outlawed slavery by 1900.[Edited on March 27, 2008 at 8:53 AM. Reason : ]
3/27/2008 8:53:13 AM
If you go back to the auction scene in "The Constant", I believe they said when the ship was lost at sea. I was thinking they said sometime in the 1860's.
3/27/2008 10:26:43 AM
^^^^^That is fucking retarded.
3/27/2008 12:15:46 PM
I wasn't gonna comment on that Time Loop theory thing until I read all the text. But after reading a little bit of the text and seeing that picture up there..yeah, what ^he said.
3/27/2008 1:08:36 PM
it's amazing how some people spend days coming up with these retarded elaborate theories that answer questions and problems that don't actually exist in the show.
3/27/2008 1:17:37 PM
Fuck, I was so pumped to watch LOST. I forgot its not coming back on for a month!
3/27/2008 7:46:25 PM
Shit, really? I could've sworn they said it was coming on at 10 tonight.
3/27/2008 9:01:48 PM
^rerun
3/27/2008 9:26:36 PM
Yeah, I noticed. I guess what they said was 10:00 whenever they come back.
