trust me, if you have an opportunity to live close enough to work to not have to drive, TAKE IT, take it at the expense of everything else. Buckhead is a great area, everything you will need is there. Dont get suckered in by "but if I live just 5 miles away I can have a two bedroom instead of one, or I will have a bonus room!" LIVE CLOSE TO WORK AS POSSIBLE.

6/27/2011 9:17:08 AM
If anybody knows of any entry level attorney positions... I'd join the Atlanta roll call.

http://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta/investigation-into-aps-cheating-1001375.htmlGood times for APS!! Pretty dispicable, never saw Joe Clark use these tactics in "Lean On Me"
7/6/2011 12:44:18 PM
i will be in ATL this weekend and need a good spot to watch the NCSU/Wake football game. Any suggestions?
9/6/2011 12:01:58 PM
the alumni viewing is at central city tavern in midtown - decent spot - good beer selection and good burgers with tots
9/7/2011 4:43:32 AM
The game will be on FSN locally, so you can watch it pretty much anywhere. But yeah, Central City Tavern ain't bad if you're looking to be around some alums...
9/7/2011 9:38:47 PM
Nice. That's easy walking distance. But won't be here this weekend
9/8/2011 1:08:58 PM
checked out the central city tavern - good people and not a bad spot to watch the game. too bad the huskies took over the big screen.
9/13/2011 1:22:48 PM
holy fuckballs traffic was shitty today... Pride is in full effect this year
10/7/2011 6:11:38 PM
I have a whole row of tickets for the Jay-Z / Kanye show next Friday... using most of them but might have a few left if anyone is interested.
10/21/2011 1:29:25 PM
Going to be in toen for new years. First new years in atl. Thoughts on what to do?? My lady friend will be with me
11/28/2011 7:54:08 AM
what are you into? formal/dressy? relaxed/fun? big crowds? just you two? dancing? sitting?
11/29/2011 6:44:52 PM
Of those. Relaxed/fun. Either big crowds or not. And dancing would be cool, but not required. Not really lookijg for a club. We'll probably check out the chik-fila bowl parade early that day.[Edited on December 4, 2011 at 1:30 PM. Reason : ..]
12/4/2011 1:28:06 PM
this is relevant to my intereststempted to hit ATL for new years as well
12/4/2011 3:10:27 PM
hmmm, no club... might make it hard as that's more my scene...Theres the Peach Drop gets a lot of people but I think its really lame. Fucking Kansas is playing there this year. Dad's Garage is a cool little improv place. They are having a special show but its over at 10pm so you could go somewhere else. (friend of mine is a cast member)The Hyatt Regency downtown usually has a SHITLOAD of people. Basically the entire hotel is one huge party. Its something like $100 each but that includes food, open bar all night, etc. Usually have several different rooms with DJs and live bands (nobody big though). Would probably recommend this if you want to avoid a club. Lots of options, can leave one room if you dont like it and try another. Can just stay there at the hotel or one nearby so dont have to worry about taxis, traffic, etc.http://downtowncountdownatlanta.missiontix.com/hahah Naughty by Nature and the dude from Live? how fucking randomI will probably go to Quad. By far the best club in Atlanta (its an actual dance club, not a hookup meat market where people are afraid to sweat) and walking distance from my place. http://quad.wantickets.com/Events/95727/ELECTRIC-NEW-YEAR-S-EVE-QUAD/[Edited on December 4, 2011 at 10:07 PM. 2/13/2012 10:55:16 PM
The Opera was chill w/ DJ Pauly D, shit was packed! ($40/female, $50/guy for admission)
2/13/2012 10:56:44 PM
Hey guys I'll be in ATL (well Tucker) starting Thursday and I was wondering if anyone is going to Beer Bourbon BBQ?
2/28/2012 5:23:52 PM
hey guys ill be in Buckhead 4/6-4/7 near Lenox. What's a good classy restaurant in the area (Italian, Seafood, upscale American)?
3/29/2012 11:36:57 AM
Portofino (or Portafino, not sure) is a good Italian place in Buckhead with a nice deck for outdoor seating. If the weather is nice I'd definitely recommend going there. Within walking distance of Lenox there's a Palm, a NY Prime, Tavern at Phipps, and some other upscale American places that you could walk to, but nothing terribly unique or interesting. My favorite restuarant in Buckhead is McKinnon's Louisianne, it's an old creole place with lots of seafood options. It's very old school (dark lighting, low ceilings, white tablecloths, waiters are typically 85 or older), but i kinda like that. And finally, the Atlanta Fish Market is good seafood and is fairly upscale, one of those places where they talk about how they "fly in fresh fish daily", if that sort of thing is important to you. Oh, and there's more than a few fancy steak places in Buckhead if y'all are tying to drop some coin. Bones, Hal's, or Chops are all pretty darn good and within 5-10 minutes of Lenox.[Edited on March 30, 2012 at 1:31 PM. Reason : .]

3/30/2012 10:53:59 PM

6/6/2012 12:35:55 AM

7/2/2012 10:52:22 PM

7/3/2012 1:02:13 PM
Sooo who all is still around?
7/15/2012 9:48:40 PM
I'm still around, still reppin' the highlands, Zone 6, to the fullest. working in buckhead now though, so lots of happy hour drinks at dante's. they make a good rusty nail there.
7/20/2012 11:04:58 AM
sounds like it wont be there for long... ever make it to The Highlander?
7/24/2012 7:42:56 PM
yo! haven't been to the highlander in a couple of years, though i did just see there's a scoutmob for them right now. played trivia there once and thought it was a bit too smokey, but not a bad place otherwise. we've been living at atkins park lately, need to change it up a bit, highlander may be a good call.highland tap is still my favorite highlands bar. friendly bartenders, good drinks, and a decent jukebox. and never too much of a crowd!
7/30/2012 1:10:36 PM
Yeah, The Highlander is my regular bar of choice, there at least once a week probably. Usually in the back room where the bartenders are awesome... I never notice smoke anywhere but other people have said the same
7/30/2012 1:41:15 PM
Just moved to Lawrenceville in the last month. How did everyone vote on TSPLOST?
8/1/2012 11:12:27 AM
I'm sorry... and I voted Yes because I'm not a short sighted moron. FYI - my career is City and Regional Planning, so I'm not just being a dick, it really could have done amazing things for Atlanta but we are now stuck with more of what we've had for the last 60 years
8/1/2012 1:50:14 PM
