maybe charlie doesn't remember hero because bennet gets to her first and wipes her memory (she must have been on the list since sylar knew where to find her)i think nathan may be trying to become congressman so he can bring linderman down (for his wife). nathan seemed like a nice guy in this episode (just very driven).

that was fucking sweet.so i wonder if Syler is the one who kills Chandra. there's no power gaining benefit from doing so (as the show would have you believe at this point) but I would wager that Chandra starts noticing the "heroes" dropping like flies and puts it together with the new crop of abilities Syler shows with each return visit, tells Syler to stop and doesn't answer his calls (hence the answering machine message), as well as restricting acsess to the names of the "heroes". and if Syler can hijack into brains in other ways (or had just stumbled upon and stolen the powers of someone who was able to do so), he might have killed Chandra just to get those names (which makes sense since the map in his room looked identical to Chandras).
11/28/2006 12:27:55 AM
It was implied in "7 minutes til midnight" that it was Sylar that killed Chandra. We're just left in the dark about the motives that were involved in it. I'm still not sure as to what Sylar's power is. Can he really alter his own brain functions in order by finding the flaws in the brain of others and force himself to develop new powers? I'm sure they'll explain it later, but it's definitely a neat power. Now, any guesses as to who is getting axed in the next episode?
11/28/2006 12:58:38 AM
Isaac
11/28/2006 1:30:18 AM
how was it implied? i don't remember anything like that.my guess is Parkman for teh death.
11/28/2006 2:22:14 AM
it showed him being strangled by an arm with a distinctive watch

In past episodes when it has shown Sylar's watch . . . was it the watch they showed last night that he got his name from? I am assuming it is, but wondering if anyone has a good enough screen cap to know for sure.
11/28/2006 8:17:39 AM
from page 17 there's some more on that page as well
11/28/2006 8:45:39 AM
I kind of wonder what the significance of the broken watch is. Obviously he can fix it, maybe he wears it as some kind of trademark. Also, I was thinking that maybe the Haitan dude has the ability to "block" other people's powers, but then how come he let Nathan fly away that one time?
11/28/2006 9:16:13 AM
Ok, question folks. If Sylar can see from a few feet away that people are "broken/special" then it brings up even more questions from the last episode. Mainly this, why did Sylar rip open the other cheerleaders head and NOT Claire? Did they save the wrong cheerleader (did the bitch have a power too, which I don't believe), or can Sylar only see it when he actually rips their brain out or something else (which makes more sense to me, as he has to have the list of people to find)? He was obviously trying to take her power, because he was buzzing her head open. When he kills other people that are just in the way, he freezes them, uses knives, whatever. He only does this to the people he is trying to take/absorb their power.
11/28/2006 9:29:14 AM
The hatian was the hollow man I thought - you know, like what he did to the kid in the car wreck with claire? I figured claire's dad had the power to block
11/28/2006 9:34:55 AM
I don't think Sylar can tell that people are "broken" unless he sees them use their power or opens up their head. The only way he knows is from the list that Chandra compiled. That is why he knew to go after Charlie in the diner and not Hiro, he didn't know that Hiro had a power because more than likely, Chandra had him listed as being in Japan. The reason he killed that other cheerleader is because he thought that she was Claire because he saw the news article about saving the dude from the fire. Which leads me to believe that Eden failed in getting Claire's name off of the list else Sylar wouldn't know where to find her.
11/28/2006 9:38:47 AM
11/28/2006 9:50:52 AM
^^ Plotwise, I think Sylar got to that list way before Eden did. Thus, no name removal.
11/28/2006 9:51:49 AM
see and i think that eden did get to the list--but b/c her name is off the physical list doesn't mean it's off the mental list in chandra's brain. so sylar kills chandra for the "list" to find out who claire is--only thing he didn't have was the picture of her which is why he killed other cheerleader.
11/28/2006 9:59:20 AM
^ There was a picture of claire on the map that chandra had.

11/28/2006 10:27:01 AM

Another question, even if Mr. Bennet did get to Charlie and erased her memory of Hiro, how come none of the workers at the diner recognized him when he came in to meet up with Ando? The other lady that worked there seemed to know him pretty well when Ando asked her about the picture.
11/28/2006 10:31:55 AM
^^ but with sylar being in NY and claire in texas he'd have to know to go to Texas first which is where the list comes in...that's why the picture is important; he didn't have one b/c it was destroyed, but chandra still had the memory of her name in his brain for her to be on the list...then he mistakes her for jackie b/c of the newspaper there

11/28/2006 10:48:04 AM
Anyone notice that it seemed like Peter was the one who lifted Nathan out of his car in the accident? Peter said he had the dream (much like Sanjay or whoever the little indian kid was) and had his arm raised as he awoke...as if he levitated Nathan in his sleep. Also, Nathan was obviously not flying, he looked as if he was being pulled out and held in the air. Pretty cool, I thought. (So does that mean the little Indian kid had contact with Peter?)
11/28/2006 10:51:57 AM
I think I figured out how Sylar knowsHe can only tell who is a hero when they use their powers. Perhaps they "glow" or something to him.He didn't know about Brian Davis until he started moving the glass or whatever on the table, then Sylar "saw" something in him.In the Diner, he saw the waitress using her memory power to talk to Hiro, while he never used his power in the diner, so he didn't know.He was trying to hurt the cheerleader to see if she would begin to heal and use her power, that's why he didn't know which one it was. He probably didn't know about Eden until it was too late and she was already using her power on him.
11/28/2006 11:04:00 AM
11/28/2006 12:02:16 PM
^ i think it means that peter is constantly around someone who has a dream power (and he is copying it).
11/28/2006 12:28:36 PM
I think you all are going to have to wait till next year to find some real answers. Next week is going to answer some, maybe, but will most likely leave you with a bunch more questions. This last episode was great because it answered "Does Sylar take other people's powers" and "Does Eden's power work only with people with powers and who is controlling who, Bennett or Eden"
11/28/2006 12:44:44 PM
11/28/2006 12:48:29 PM
I wonder if we misjudged Nikki's power. What if she doesn't have this Jekkyl/Hyde personality thing? Maybe her power is channeling the dead. She could be channeling her dead sister, Jessica. And Jessica could've had the power of super-strength.
11/28/2006 12:48:34 PM
Eden's power can work with anyone. That Haitian dude just has the power to cancel out any type of power that involves head games. I'm guessing that he can extend that power out to other people. Maybe Eden hadn't figured that out to take advantage or whatever when Bennet isn't around him.
11/28/2006 12:50:41 PM
I don't get what you all are saying about Sylar taking the list out of the old mans head - hes not like rogue, he doesnt absorb everything about them (Doesnt she absorb memories as well?), I think he just sees the actual genetic differences in the brain, then makes those changes on his own to himself in some way, it hasnt been shown that he physically absorbs the brain.
11/28/2006 3:02:40 PM
So after almost an entire season, i still have no idea what Simone Deveaux does. She has to be more than just the link between Peter and Isaac, right?Everyone in this picture (barring Mohinder) has a power...except her.[Edited on November 28, 2006 at 4:00 PM. Reason : x]
11/28/2006 3:59:55 PM
^^ I agree with you. The list I'm talking about was on the computer or written down stashed in a folder. Sylar found out where the first one was because of that little slip of paper. He easily could have found Chandra and stole some of his shit from files or a computer. If he can fix a watch, I'm pretty sure i could navigate through Windows XP.
11/28/2006 4:21:36 PM
^^ I think she's just a link. She seemed in pretty complete disbelief that anyone could possess superpowers in the early episodes. I wouldn't be suprised if we don't even see her in the show again. And I was saying at the top of the page, my guess is that Syler had already gained some power to probe the mind of others from killing a "hero", and then just offed Chandra when he was done with him. But you know, the simpler explanation is that he killed him, stole his keys and copied down all his information (yet for some reason doesn't destroy the originals and slips past the watchful eye of Eden), but I think my theory is more fun.
11/29/2006 12:33:22 AM
Dont be suprised that if we see several deaths in the next few episodes....gotta feeling they about to take some characters out....(other than the one they announced to be dying next episode) III
11/29/2006 7:20:29 PM
yeah all we know is a certain one will die
11/29/2006 8:49:25 PM
gotta be either isaac or radioactive man. the rest are too important i think
11/29/2006 10:12:07 PM
they could kill matt or DL
11/29/2006 10:12:47 PM
dl does have a bullet coming at his head right now
11/29/2006 10:35:20 PM
^he also has the ability to walk through solid walls

Last night, while watching24 Season 3, I realized that Sylar is on that season.
11/30/2006 9:20:09 AM
I think they're going to kill off Ando, Hiro's buddy. He's not a "Hero," but I think he'll do something heroic to save Hiro, and then he'll get shot or something. I think this will turn Hiro from quirky japanese tourist into the badass ninja we've seen from the future.
11/30/2006 9:25:42 AM
See, this is what's going to happen.Hiro is going to be confronted from a bad guy from the future. He will potentially end the future as they know it. So Hiro will go back in time, set up a cage to fall on the guy. But the guy will have traveled to the past himself to set up a key, and then a gun. But when the bad guy shoots the gun, it will say, "Waffels! Woohoo!" and Hiro will laugh because he actually set up the key and the gun. And then Hiro will go back in time to learn how to play the guitar, and then he will rock the world and bring intergalactic peace.the end.
11/30/2006 9:36:30 AM
hamoney.
11/30/2006 10:10:48 AM
WAFFLES!@ WOOHOO!~LAWL

That may be my favorite quote from the show so far.
11/30/2006 11:10:23 AM
what ever happened to the comic book that Hiro was going off of to figure out what to do? They just abandoned that idea.
