Damn, that sucks. We have a two round playoff which the top 4 teams are invited to, with each round lasting two weeks.

It's great for me, because my team has put up the most points in the league all season--this way I don't lose by one fluke performance.

8 man league? If thats the case, along with the fact that some people quit playing and/or havent looked at thier teams in a while, there should be a shitload of good players out there to be picked up off of waivers. Too late now, i know......but even if 2 people werent playing, thats leaves at least 10 under the radar players that make good spot plays.

It's your own fault!

My team was fantastic (hence why I did so well in the regular season). It was just one of those weeks where the other guy had players who usually don't do shit go buck wild, and my weekly big scorers did nothing.

^ he mustve had chris chambers, who's carrying me pretty much on his own in one league

but my question is

t. jones vs atl
or
d davis vs ari

i'm #1 in this league yet I'm an upset special somehow (based on projections, anyway). which one of those two should I go with? I also have Gado (@Balt) in this league.

tough one.

this one is pretty much a wash.

Jones is more likely to score a rushhing TD, but Davis is thier best rushing and recieving threat.

His combined yards will equal thomas yards + TD.

considering both Atlanta and Chicago have alot to play for, Im going to say go with Davis in a game that means nothing and will likely be close to a shootout, as both defenses are the 2 worst in the league.

Davis gets the nod.

playoff game for me now

how long do you think shaun alexander will play against tennessee before he gets benched this week? i picked up maurice morris just to be safe in case they sit him for an entire game.

my running backs are:

shaun alexander @tenn
cadillac williams @NE
willie parker @minn
maurice morris @tenn

the obvious choices are shaun and cadillac, but i'm gonna be fucked if seattle gets up by 5 touchdowns and pulls alexander (unless he got the 5 touchdowns lol).

L. Jordan - Cleveland's run D isn't very good, see Rudi Johnson's game last week.
T. Jones - Atlanta's run D is very weak, and this is an important game for both teams.

Palmer - too good to sit at this point
Bledsoe - can get hot, and when he's on he can put up big numbers
Brees - this one could become a shootout if Brees is having a good day

I'd avoid Jackson and Plummer. Philly's D is still decent and Jackson hasn't had great games as of late. Plummer struggled last week and has the past few weeks, they're a run-first offense so Plummer just won't put up consistent big-time fantasy points, and after watching NE have their way with Buffalo last week on the ground, I expect the 3-back tandem in Denver to get plenty of carries.

^^Well, if Seattle scores 5 TDs, I expect 2 of them will be Alexander's, so he's a solid start regardless, and don't forget he's chasing the TD record so they may keep him in just to get that.

Parker - avoid him, Bettis had a coming-back game last week and looked back at 100%.

I'd go with Shaun and Cadillac. Cadillac looks to be back at 100% and NE has been known to give up big yards on the ground. Avoid starting a back-up unless you know he'll start, I mean even Shaun in just the first half is good for at least a TD.

^they won't let him do shit to get his totals.

i lost my game by 2 points 2 weeks ago because they pulled him at halftime against philly. and this past week they scored 5 TD's, maybe 6, and he only had one of them. but yeah, i don't see hasselback throwing 4 TD's twice in a row. i really hope not anyway, because i'm playing against him this week.

need 3 WR/TE, i got chad johnson so choose 2 more:

k-rob -pitt
lee evans -den
chris henry -@det
heath miller -@min

right now i got k-rob and lee evans starting with chad

look at those stats. 4 receptions in his last 5 games, including week 10 at home vs. the Browns, where he wasnt even thrown to once! He hasnt scored a TD since week 8. It is now week 15. Start Miller, and you are out of the playoffs.

^I think he CAN do well, but I expect them to run the ball a LOT and spread it around between their 3 backs.

SD NEEDS to win the game, so I expect them to do whatever it takes to win, so I expect they'll be hungry and trying to do whatever they can to score. Plus LT hasn't really been performing well the last half of this season.

and remember, Brees threw the ball 60! times against a great Miami defense. He will be forced to throw almost that much against Indy.

They wont win, but i like Brees' chances of production from a fantasy standpoint.

Especially in garbage time when the Colts are just sitting back trying to stop the long bomb.

Brees will throw for 300 and two scores. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST.

evans is no longer a good option. holcomb is starting in place of an injured losman, which makes moulds the better bills receiver.

i wonder if i should pick him up or just start henry or miller in place of evans.

^ not at all.

i have had the good fortune to have LT and Larry Johnson as my starting running backs this season. If the Chargers relied on LT as much as the Chiefs do LJ, LaDainain would have at least 400 fantasy points right now (as opposed to the ~290-300pts).

The problem is the Chargers have too many options. LT, Gates, McCardell (who really has had a productive season), and even Reche Caldwell, and Parker....all of those guys are pretty Reliable and have big play capabilty.

LT having hurt Ribs or not, there is no excuse for Brees throwing the ball 60 times like he did against Miami.

26 touches (runs and receptions) is bullshit for LT in a must win situation.

Martyball is ass crack.

I don't know if I'd trust Moulds. He's still averaging less than 10 yards a catch and just got off that suspension... seeing that this season's in the tank, I don't see him performing very well from here on out.

lee evans averages per game:

with losman:
3.2 catches for 54.9 yards and .5 TD's

with holcomb
2.5 catches for 30 yards and .25 TD's

heath miller averages per game

with ben:
2.4 catches for 22 yards and .55 TD's

without ben:
2.75 catches for 30 yards and .25 TD's

heath is playing with ben this week, evans is playing with holcomb. miller is more than twice as likely to score based on that information alone. on top of that, minnesota has given up more touchdowns to tight ends than any other team in the NFL.

i think miller is a better start than evans with holcomb starting for buffalo. i'll start miller.

okay, heres a real burner of a question:

pick one for my QB this weekend-

Chris Simms vs. Patriots
Charlie Frye vs. Raiders
Mark Brunell vs. Cowboys

I'm not starting Brunell this week because he has tried to dismantle my team for the past 2 weeks (I've won both since I have good RBs and WRs). I just need positive points from my QB - not negative points like Brunell put up last week

As much as I dislike him, I say you should go with Simms. He did torch the Panthers last week & the Pats secondary is badly beaten up.

Well, you just need better QB options. My backup (Plummer) is way better than all of them.

yeah I know, I had Leftwich as my primary starter but he's obviously out

I'm in a 16 team league, and most teams have 2-3 QBs on their roster so the WW is bare

plus, its too late in the season to try to make moves for a better QB

as long as my QB put up a few positive points this week my WRs and RBs should be able to hold me over

Ya, 16 team leagues can be tough with injuries. That is why it is best to only allow a bench of 2-3 people in a big league like that. So that teams can't hog backups & you only pickup guys if you need them.

My league is 12 teams, which is an ideal size, & not to mention I've been playing with these guys for like 5 years.

I still say Simms though. But it's a toss up.

Trust LT this week against the colts? I have a fucking STEEPLE of backups (4 RBs and a backup QB). This game is basically for all the tea in China; it's the semifinal but the guy I'm up against caused two of my 3 losses. I ran the table against the other semifinalists.

I took 1st in football reg. season consistently scoring in the top 3 or so. Going up against the top point scorer (but inconsistent) this week in the semi's though. The winner of our matchup is easily the favorite for the title.
