^He's been quoted as saying that he loves UNC and that one of the reasons he was going to prep school is improve his game so that maybe UNC would offer. He's a little bit bigger/stronger than Noreen...plus Noreen is a finesse/outside guy. Jack might not be physically ready to play against high major college talent yet, but he's probably played inside against better competition than Noreen has.

people in this thread look pretty stupid judging a kid they don't know at all
5/7/2010 2:33:15 PM
the point is that this kid is going to be judged unfairly by any asshole who hears any portion of his story, and then that is going to reflect poorly on the universityit doesn't matter whether or not Mabry did anything wrong, actually pointed any guns at anyone, or even shot someone and got away with itthe vast majority of people don't give a shit to find out the details or know the guy -- when our fans are reacting this way, its not hard to extrapolate it out to think how people not affiliated with State will react
5/7/2010 2:35:57 PM
Who gives a fuck how some assholes are going to judge him (TWW included)?I'll trust the people that actually know the kid and say he's a good kid over the fuckfaces that read one article online. If he gets in some shit once he gets here then appropriate action can be taken
5/7/2010 2:45:03 PM
People already think our tailgates are basically gunslingin' at the OK Corral, so whatever
5/7/2010 2:46:01 PM
Point is, if somebody's going to base their judgement on the entire university, or even on the basketball team based on their misguided judgement of one the players (if he's truly innocent, of course), why should we care?[Edited on May 7, 2010 at 2:49 PM. Reason : ^^what he said]

5/7/2010 2:54:31 PM
Yeah, but those UNC fans work for the N&O and WRAL and ESPNThey are loud and recruits down the road are going to hear themI'm just sayingBe careful with this kidReally careful

http://www.wralsportsfan.com/ncsu/audio/7561361/now, why in the hell do they pronounce Ryan Harrow's last name like tourist asians learning to say hello???
5/7/2010 3:10:32 PM
Noreen is the other 2010 guy I mentioned that isn't Mabry. First impression makes you think he's a Horner-type, but you read this and it's like

"Lorenzo, if you could tell NCState nation anythign about next year coming up, what would you say"Lorenzo: "It's gonna be a massacre...we comin to kill"hahahahaha[Edited on May 7, 2010 at 3:15 PM. Reason : .]
5/7/2010 3:14:57 PM
I don't care if I KNOW the kid or notThe fact is he was AT THE SCENE OF A MURDER WHILE IT HAPPENED!whether he is a good kid or not, that right there tells me his decision making, when it comes to choosing friends, is NOT SMART.I just think with everything going in the right direction, bringing on a potential problem player is not worth it..... AT ALL.
5/7/2010 3:23:43 PM
but does he have a jump shot???? that's the questioni don't care if he's runnin' with Al Qaeda.....just as long as he can go off for 20+ against UNC, i don't give a fizzuck!
5/7/2010 3:28:10 PM
^^ serious question... If you randomly happened to see someone get shot right next to you while you were randomly walking back to your car in the middle of the night after a day out on the town, should your future employees never hire you. Give the kid a break.(I don't know the story at all, I'm just commenting on the comment)[Edited on May 7, 2010 at 3:32 PM. I was at two different parties in college where guns were pulled. I'm certainly glad that no one pulled the trigger, b/c it could have ruined my life, since I chose to attend those parties, even though i had nothing to do with the incident.I understand the point, but at the same time, all we know is what we've read in a few articles, which leave a lot to speculation.I'd rather get this PF guy though. But from what I've heard, i think I'd be happy w/ Mabry too.

Jack is going to prep school... somewhere in the Northeast I want to say. I know that UConn was hard after him and he actually took an OV. Interesting that Roy would be in it for this type of player.[Edited on May 7, 2010 at 3:56 PM. Reason : also, Harrow is taking his OV along with 'Zo this weekend...]
5/7/2010 3:54:37 PM
if UNC wants Jack on the team next year they'll find a way to get him in
5/7/2010 3:56:52 PM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJ-x58D_dbEthis video doesn't really exhibit Noreen's basketball prowess or anything, but it does look like he played with a bunch of little scrubs. Doesnt look like a powerhouse high school bball conference.
5/7/2010 4:43:42 PM
update: the trio will not be on 99.9 at 5pm today. some kind of ncaa regulation
5/7/2010 4:58:19 PM
What? That makes no sense. All three have been on the radio individually.
5/7/2010 5:00:55 PM
zo brown the assassin
5/7/2010 5:03:31 PM
As long as he isn't the silent assassin. Nolan Smith already has that nickname on lock down according to that one fucktard announcer.
5/7/2010 5:04:51 PM
kim, i definitely know what you're saying and any other year for NC State, I would say we should go for it and give the kid a shot. I just think that right now with the massive swing in a positive direction for NCSU basketball, that we should pass on him and wish him the best.

Mabry was exonerated in a court of lawanyone who gives him shit for being a victim of circumstance is ignorant/misinformedfuck the haters, bring him on...who cares what other people think? he shouldn't be denied because of DROPPED charges
5/7/2010 10:23:01 PM
The mabry decision could take awhile...http://www.rockymounttelegram.com/sports/undecided-nc-state-leads-list-possible-destinations-mabry-19448He's taking official visits to Rhode Island and Wyoming. While we are the leader, he's waiting on the finalization of the Mays transfer since he's still on the active roster.
5/7/2010 10:33:28 PM
there are Bloods in Wyoming.
5/7/2010 11:42:20 PM
^^^^ Re: the Trio. I was listening and Adam Gold was like: "well, it looks like we're not going to have the Trio afterall." He mentioned recruiting and violations having to do with them being on the OV. I likened it to something that someone had mentioned the past few days how UCONN would take recruits to the ESPN studios and that was deemed a violation - like special treatment for going on the OV. Once u sign the LOI i don't know why it matters, but if our staff was trying to be above-board that's awesome. I was just disappointed not to get to hear them all together for the first time.

5/8/2010 5:49:08 PM
So which one of these 3 ballers in going to make the biggest impact next year?
5/8/2010 6:08:59 PM
lorenzo brown.
5/8/2010 6:09:41 PM
brown without a doubt
5/8/2010 6:18:51 PM
He is the most mature. Has had an extra year to develop
5/8/2010 7:21:08 PM
harrow. even if he is only 85 lbs, he should be light years better than any other pg option we will have.
5/8/2010 7:58:18 PM
brown is a "pg option"just saying i agree brown's extra year will give him the most immediate impact]
5/8/2010 8:07:44 PM
this is actually a hard call. if i had to rank them, i'd say:1) brown - fills the 2 with a consistent scorer that we've lacked for a long time2) harrow - will be needed to play point right away, his film is amazing but whether his game will immediately translate into success is still up in the air3) leslie - extremely athletic and will make a lot of highlight plays but the other two have a bigger chances to improve their respective positionsi'm just happy to have them all aboard. let's hope our all 5* class turns out better than wake's in 2008.
5/8/2010 8:11:15 PM
brown just looks so smoove, controlled, he reminds me of a 2x version of Atsur. 2x in speed and fundamentals
5/8/2010 8:39:11 PM
nobody will see it, because it's post 49, but I thought Atsur was quite fundamentally-sound. he made up for lack of quickness and go-to scoring ability by using his head and doing the little things
