Yeah, the only problem is if the other player has an overpair, although that won't happen too often. Alternatively they could have an underpair and then its a coinflip. I was familiar with Annette_15 before I read the post so given the other plays of hers I've seen I'm not going to argue with this play especially after the m rational the author mentions.

Yeh, I mean given her results, she's def doing a lot right. I just thought that move was so counterintuitive to any rationale i'd use during a tourney.

i think annette's play was also likely read-dependent, maybe she knew villain would be shoving with wide range, and therefore was unlikely to have a hand such a 77+.

OK I have transitioned to Omaha Hi and it is going well. I just get so tired of some schmuck drawing runner runner to the Lo to split a pot. I don't like splitting pots.....

It is quite fun, and it's a lot less stressful to play a game where I don't mind folding a set because most of the time it is safe to assume bottom set is no good, especially in a big pot.

I play poker man......I play small stakes online, but that's only bc I'm a live game player, and like to use my roll for live game play, kinda wanted to test the waters online and figure out the adjustments before donking off half my roll or something learning the differences in the games ya know? but it's been going pretty well, so idk, might try to man up and put some more on here in a little bit, we'll see.

edit: hish what events you looking to play?

i actually left raleigh about a month ago, but i can refer you to games if you are interested. i made a few posts back in the day looking for players, but no one seemed too interested.....i pretty much know of 3 games every night of the week in the raleigh durham area, anyone can pm for details if interested.....also know of about 3 tournies a week, and a few other monthlies...there is a pretty decent underground in raleigh if you know where to look.

I say that all the time. Seriously.

Other good ones include "I hope your mom gets AIDS and dies" and "I hope your family dies in a horrible housefire."

It gets the table all riled up and you will get a lot of calls from very mediocre hands.

Last week I was playing free poker at Napper Tandy's. It is live at the table poker so the deal rotates around the table. The deal comes to me and I play the hand. Medium sized pot basically gets checked down to the river where I deal a 7 to pair the board. My opponent flips over the pocket sevens for quads. Oh well I didnt lose too much. The deal goes around the table and comes back to me. Again I am in the hand getting checked down to the river by the same guy as before. The river is King of clubs. Dude turns over the Royal Flush. Again I didn't lose much and the guy busted out a few hands later but it was definitely amazing.

That was the second royal flush i dealt in 2008
