were people really taking that wear shit serious ITT? lololololol

what do you mean?
5/6/2010 4:02:49 PM
I never take kevmcd86 seriouslyHe's the biggest bullshit artist on this site
are we talking bullshit %, or just bullshit total (count)? because having 1/5th of your post count and being the #1 bullshitter would seriously be a lot of bullshit...must be percentage, because if we're talking count, that would be requiring you to have somewhere around 16,000 non-bullshit posts to even be categorized in the same league, even if i were 100% bullshit. ^apparently you're not familiar with the term "high ceiling"

Painter has good athletic ability, and a decent, developing offensive game. He has lottery pick potential, he's just so damn raw he might not ever make it there. He has to work hard to improve both his offensive and defensive games. He's got more offensive potential than any of our post players, but right now his defensive game is downright awful. He didn't play that smart last year, even for a freshman, and because of that he was getting a ton of fouls called on him, which contributed to him barely seeing the floor. With a good offseason he might be able to show Lowe he's better than Vandenberg, and good enough that he can start at the 5 while Smith plays the 4, and that could be the spark that ignites Painter's career.Of course, it's all speculation
5/6/2010 4:36:45 PM
all painter is right now is an athlete. he's not a basketball player.he doesn't play smart at all on either end of the floor. he isn't a particularly good defensive player and on offense he shoots nearly every time he has the ball, even when he is 20 feet away from the basket. he will have to improve greatly in order to recieve decent playing time this season.i don't see him playing ahead of TBDV simply because of defense. vandenberg is actually good at defense, which will get him minutes even with a limited offensive skill set. i don't see painter contributing much at all until the following season.
5/6/2010 4:51:11 PM
^I agree with this post justinh524 for mod
5/6/2010 4:55:41 PM
Vandy racked up the majority of his blocked shots versus the likes of New Orleans, Akron and Georgia State. i don't know what about him makes people think he's some great defendermaybe it's all based on the Arizona game...i don't know
5/6/2010 4:57:49 PM
He's a big body, and he's not afraid to get physical on the glass...he is the only player we had last year who size-wise could even try to guard a Favors...a guy like Smith is a better player than Vandy obviously, but a guy like Favors isn't going to just go up over top of Vandy as easily as he could over Smith
5/6/2010 4:59:33 PM
Vandenberg is a good defender because of his length. He's not by any means a great defender. He's almost useless in a man defense if you can draw him more than 10 feet from the basket. Take him away from the basket and you'll either get around him, draw a foul, or score. He's pretty solid inside that 10 ft radius, but outside of it he's pretty bad.
5/6/2010 5:00:27 PM
bigego proves his worth with that post
5/6/2010 5:02:00 PM
I just want vandy to be like Zoubek.
5/6/2010 5:04:25 PM
what, turrible for three years and then turn it on for his senior season?
5/6/2010 5:05:20 PM
that's better than terrible for 4 years. zoubek put in a lot of effort to gain muscle and develop a game in the post. i'd rather have a zoubek for 1-1.5 years than not have one at all.
5/6/2010 5:09:55 PM
zoubek didn't really have a post game. He got rebounds, tipped balls out to his guards and passed out of the post. But he began doing those things VERY well right after we beat them
5/6/2010 5:16:22 PM
I was impressed with the way his game developed going into his senior year. Sure he wasn't a dominate offensive player like many stars are, but he cleaned up a lot of trash and played defense, which really worked when they had 3 other guys who could go for 20 any given night.

rivals has our class at #5 overallhttp://ncstate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1082109
5/6/2010 5:54:29 PM
mabry we can move up even higher!
5/6/2010 5:56:07 PM
Dave Telep said that Mabry wasn't a ranking changer in either direction. Average player -- wouldn't move the ranking up, but also wouldn't hurt the ranking.
5/6/2010 7:00:49 PM
UNC's class is a bit overrated
5/6/2010 7:02:06 PM
Bahaha yeah keep telling yourself that
5/6/2010 7:07:57 PM
marshall is pathetic, bullock is a little overrated, but barnes is legit
5/6/2010 7:10:11 PM
bullock is decent but i'm not impressed with marshall one bit. Barnes is awesome...i hope Leslie shuts his ass down
5/6/2010 7:17:03 PM
Its legitimate to say their class might be overrated, based on the fact that last year Scout had them as the #3 class in the nation...and they obviously underachieved on the court
5/6/2010 7:49:26 PM
they were too busy blowing each other in the locker room to focus on basketball last season

Brown is making his official visit tomorrowI sure hope we can get him to sign an LOI
5/6/2010 8:46:09 PM
Like Jules said, his potential is through the roof. It'll be a year or two or three before he shows it, but if he ever does he'll be a lottery pick
5/6/2010 8:46:33 PM
who is brown?
5/6/2010 8:48:43 PM
I'm definitely in the Painter > Vandy campand in the Leslie > Davis > Thomas > Wood camp
5/6/2010 8:50:07 PM
leslie, harrow, and brown are making officials this weekend. if you want to stalk, packpride posted their tentative eating plans.

I don't think we've moved the university to another state yetBut good try!
5/6/2010 8:51:51 PM
^ what does that post mean?
5/6/2010 8:53:12 PM
i thought we had him last year.and is that a wood joke? wood was one of the best players on our team last year and is still the X factor. he has something nobody else has. he will be an nba player roster maker for sure.
5/6/2010 8:53:25 PM
It means that NC State is located in the state of North CarolinaLo Brown is notHe will travel to the state of North Carolina for his official visit at NC State
5/6/2010 8:54:21 PM
what can I say? that's his FB status right now
5/6/2010 8:55:33 PM
what an ass
5/6/2010 8:55:35 PM
I don't dislike Wood, but it's laughable to project him to a NBA roster at this point. There have been far better shooters and more athletic slashers that have failed to make it on a roster than Scott Wood.
5/6/2010 8:56:03 PM
....and better defenders!
5/6/2010 8:56:47 PM
not at that size and level
5/6/2010 8:57:08 PM
tke, what was your justification for wood sucking again? i remember you didn't like him and then he did well and you weren't hating on him?]
5/6/2010 8:58:17 PM
can anybody compile me a list of the current top-10 best PF's and C's in the NBAthen ask yourself: "Can Tracy compete against these dudes?"_________________________________________________________________^ I just think he's a one-tricky pony. outside shooter and that's it! he brings nothing else to the game, offensively speaking....and don't get me started on his a) get burned then b) slap n' grab brand of defense[Edited on May 6, 2010 at 9:00 PM.
