horrible night thus far. bubbled on like 2 other 30+3s another 20+2 and then this after garbage cards all tourney.
11/26/2007 10:19:43 PM
i dont see the garbage thereyou lost with the worst hand and the guy with the J 10 and you were only about a 50-50 to win vs a J10 and A3people please dont post your retarded bad beat stories. everyone has run into aces with kings, everyone has had someone flop a set on their aces etc
11/26/2007 11:36:57 PM
11/27/2007 3:51:01 AM
what? I said pretty much the only non-garbage hands resulted in those two not (LOOK AT DIS GARBAGE). I know that everyone has an AA KK bad beat, more annoyed at the fact every other person that tries to slowplay that hand gets reamed. of course it's a must call on the second post and it was like 80% on the turn vs that, eh? Guess I should just stop posting since it's obvious elitism reigns strong. Yes uR_gr8 and I fail at poker I'd suggest just stalking me and taking all my dollarbux but don't want to endure the suggestion afterwards involving chump change low stakes bullshit.lesson learned, stay out of teh thread.

^right, because i'm really that conceited. reread, without giving in to the overwhelming sensation to call me out. regardless, the problem is solved. no more of the mundane banality that is my handposting.

I don't know. I can't really see this guy as an English teacher given his sentence structure for his first post on the page.
11/27/2007 1:26:32 PM
True. But he said "mundane banality"...and that sir..is some baller vocab.

Hah. We were playing Chinese Poker last night, not Indian. I'm sooooooooo tired.

Grandmaster,David063, linoleum, boobs, and pilgrimshoes are the only one who can post in this thread
11/27/2007 6:00:37 PM
You left out Turner and Noid.
11/27/2007 6:04:36 PM
Grandmaster,I guess I'm in the minority of people that would like for you to keep posting your "bad beats." I think it's pretty brave that you post your stupid fucking stories for the rest of us to laugh at.
11/27/2007 8:02:09 PM
ahahaa gregmy bad grandmaster, i was in a bad mood and i hate bad beat stories where the player either plays bad and the result is a bad beat or it is something that is common in poker (AA vs KK) etc[Edited on November 27, 2007 at 8:43 PM. Reason : .]

My first thought also considering bet sizes to relative stacks. However I don't know if that would be the best idea in terms of expected value. I forgot to mention I raised it up to 600, and the villain folded.[Edited on November 27, 2007 at 11:52 PM. Reason : .]

although i hate this play more than anything, as passive as this guy seems, i think a min raise might have gotten him to call with a bad ace, but it is possible he was a donk and had Q10, J10, or a hand like KQ. you cant really put him on a big enough hand to call your large reraise, so make a min raise of his, so it is callable to a medium level hand. (and if he was staying in with a gut shot and tried to bluff the river he was likely folding anyways)thats my opinion[Edited on November 28, 2007 at 12:15 AM. Reason : .]
11/28/2007 12:13:02 AM
Maybe so, and the thing is at the first couple of levels its difficult to get a read of the opponent. I absolutely hate the min-raise in most situations, both because it blows, and because it's very transparent. But, yeah in retrospect, it would have been more likely to reel him in with the MR than my raise. For what its worth I took the thingy down, and am running 73.8% ROI over the last 50 of these, but I think what I am trying to work on is extracting max value. Because all too often at the end I am pushbotting, and anything I can do to get chips would be awesome.[Edited on November 28, 2007 at 12:23 AM. Reason : .]
11/28/2007 12:20:50 AM
do you understand my logic though? The minraise or mebbe a little bit more than a min raise makes sense as his reraise was so small it almost looks like a scared bluff. There are so many weak players in those sit n go's that had he a big hand to him (AJ, AQ,2pr, set) he'd reraise your small reraise and had he a marginal hand, he may call bc of the amt in the pot with a hand like K10 etc. I dont play it the same all the time, but here before I even saw the result I was thinking mini or min raise[Edited on November 28, 2007 at 12:34 AM. ty...maybe could have waited for a better spot, but wasn't in too bad of shape with a coinflip. A bit disappointing, but can't really complain.
11/28/2007 8:39:30 AM
Ah, I feel so refreshed after a nice 10 hours of sleep.I don't really like a min reraise in the situation above. As boobs said "his reraise was so small it almost looks like a scared bluff."If it was a complete bluff then he'd probably fold his hand whether you went all in or bet min. Maybe he'd call min for the info but I think a min reraise there just screams you have the nuts. I'd probably reraise 2X min. That would be a little less than half the pot. That way if he does actually have a hand then you'll make a little money. I also don't like the all in play because its pretty transparent as well unless you're trying to make him think you're overbetting the pot on purpose, but that's giving him way too much credit. Unless he also has a flush, I don't see a push paying off here.
11/28/2007 9:18:13 AM
the reason why i say that dave is because i assume unknown players are bad until they prove otherwise. if he is bluffing with a pair he may call a small reraise. My advice was given the fact that i think the other player is a weak player
11/28/2007 1:33:43 PM
Yeah, but wouldn't he just call if he has a small pair? Also, if you think he'd call a min reraise with a small pair then why not assume he'd call a bigger reraise with a small pair?
11/28/2007 1:51:16 PM
I honestly thought the small re-raise by him was him hitting a little flush. However, I doubt thats the case since he folded to me coming over the top of him.
11/28/2007 3:39:34 PM
Rookie bluffers love the extremely small bets. It happens all the time on the river in tournaments I play.

http://www.cashgamestats.com/SearchData.aspx?Player=Paul%20WasickaCan anyone think of any more stats you may want to see for a player? Also, any other feedback welcome.thanks
11/29/2007 12:11:19 AM
Don't know if this is possible, but something I think might be good is whether they are predominantly 6-max or full table players. Not sure how that would be done, b/c an averaging of the amount of players at their table might be misleading. However, if it could be done it would give some more insight to the VP$IP, PFR, etc..[Edited on November 29, 2007 at 12:57 AM. Reason : .]
11/29/2007 12:57:24 AM
good point. I was thinking of putting the limits a player plays and the type of table whether it be 6max full ring or HU. I'll see what I can come up with.
