If there is one thing this entire process has taught me it's that America is full of idiots. Both sides of the aisle included in this. Social media has given these people a voice and reading these posts every day has made me very sad for humanity in general.

Right off the bat complaining about the media. Great start, tremendous!
1/11/2017 11:22:04 AM
Spicer is smart. Take Buzzfeed's nonsense and then try and throw all other outlets in that bucket..
1/11/2017 11:23:13 AM
Pretty obvious that to Trump "fake news" = negative news to Trump.Look, Buzzfeed is garbage but whatever you say about CNN they are guilty of reporting news with bias; that's it. They don't make up stuff out of thin air.He really is going to mak be his entire four years about relitigating the election and complaining about media, isn't he?
1/11/2017 12:18:23 PM
He ended his first press conference with his catch phrase from the apprentice, I hope he ends every single one like that
1/11/2017 12:19:32 PM
I feel no sympathy for CNN, they enabled this asshole as much as anyone and deserve to reap the whirlwind.[Edited on January 11, 2017 at 12:22 PM. Reason : phone]

This ethics director over his company...can't wait to see who this is going to be.
1/11/2017 12:42:31 PM
^^ that's not the point. It's a lie to say what CNN reported was fake news. It wasn't. They didn't report the uncorroberated nonsense Buzzfeed did.Look, I don't say FNC spreads fake news. They don't. They pick and choose what to report and spin it with bias. Trump is going to convince his legions of ignoramuses that EVERY negative news story from anywhere is fake. That isn't healthy. It's plainly obvious his relationship with the free press is going to border on autocratic and that is a best case.[Edited on January 11, 2017 at 12:53 PM. Reason : X]

I'm aware a large portion of this country is highly ignorant. That still doesn't make what he is doing OK.
1/11/2017 1:49:14 PM
believing the news is highly ignorant. These same news agencies just spent the last year telling us that Hillary was going to win in monumental fashion, and that only ignorant people would think otherwise.
1/11/2017 1:52:11 PM
Judging from polls, the platforms, background, and the experience of the candidates, that wasn't a off the wall prediction. Not even to the Trump campaign. Using the false prediction of the media as an example of "fake news" is utterly ridiculous.
1/11/2017 1:56:48 PM
^^Do you understand the difference between these two headlines and how each reflects on credibility differently?"Clinton favored to win electoral college" vs "Trump Foundation no longer able to raise money in NY State"[Edited on January 11, 2017 at 1:57 PM. Reason : a]
1/11/2017 1:57:48 PM
1/11/2017 2:03:39 PM
^^ actually it's more like "Clinton likely to win election" versus "Clinton hired hitman to off DNC operative"One is a biased prediction. One is a crazy conspiracy theory that was completely and utterly devoid of any fact
1/11/2017 2:07:05 PM
is a weather forecast that's a bit off a fake forcast?

1/11/2017 2:49:56 PM
^^yeah, if your read wral comments, or even some comments in tww chit chat (see greg fischel credibility watch), lots of people criticize meteorologists for not being able to accurately predict weather. idiots.

rigging polls and then reporting on it as credible news makes it fake news. That's what happened throughout the election. The only agency that didn't tamper with their model to join the concensus with Hillary way ahead was the LA Times daybreak poll, and that poll turned out to be accurate in the end. Other news agencies made fun of them for daring to show Trump in the lead.Trump's campaign team used the data from the LA Times poll for much of their campaign decisions. You think that was mere coincidence, or did they know what the media refused to report on?
1/11/2017 3:17:34 PM
I like to imagine eleusis winning the lottery then complaining about the odds of winning being lies.
1/11/2017 3:18:09 PM
(Clinton won the popular vote --- the LA Times tracking poll was wrong).[Edited on January 11, 2017 at 3:21 PM. Reason : And it was a national poll -- how would Trumps team use that?)]
1/11/2017 3:20:47 PM
The most amazing part of this for me is it started as an oppo research effort by Jeb's primary campaign involving an ex-MI6 agent, later picked up by the Dems, and then finally followed up on by John fucking McCain a month after the election. The best screenwriters in Hollywood couldn't produce a better script.[Edited on January 11, 2017 at 3:26 PM. Reason : .]
1/11/2017 3:26:32 PM
To follow up:The final popular vote had Clinton +2 I believe. The national poll with the largest disparity was............ the LA Times tracking poll! Had Trump +3.

It is pretty amazing that the huckster fooled a college educated guy into thinking that Buzzfeed and CNN reported the same thing.I underestimated the draw of a con man and how manipulative he actually is.

are we positive that kdogg is college educated?
1/12/2017 9:32:04 AM
Every time I hear Trump mention "8 years" I laugh. Seriously, we are in survive 4 years mode and hit the reset button. Has it ever happened where a party didn't send out the incumbent after 4 years to run again? If not I would not be surprised if it happened this time. Otherwise, whoever the democrats send out will be president.
1/12/2017 11:11:19 AM
Reagan challenged Ford. LBJ didn't run (he would have been challenged) Beyond that, nothing else in recent history.

Republicans should impeach trump the first chance they get
1/12/2017 11:26:53 AM
^ part of me thinks that was the plan all along. Lord knows they will have plenty of reasons to draw from, what with the reluctance to divest from his businesses, the Trump hotel, possible collusion with Russia, nepotism, etc....With Trump impeached, Pence would step up to the plate.... Who is assumed to be running the show anyway. Pence is already well liked in GOP circles.
