works for me now

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzYRvaD-xkQand, where is everyone testing their connection speed (showing the full speed: internet + tv)? it can't be speedtest.net or a similar one...

2/13/2010 3:04:24 PM
^^ i think you have to dig around in your DVR/STB to get those numbers^ why are you having to reorder?]

^^^http://192.168.1.254/mdci can't remember which link it is on the side, but it's probably "broadband link" or something like that. look for something like "line sync speed" or something.^moved, couldn't get it at my new place, just became available.]

k, so are most people's lines syncing at 32/5?that's gotta mean we're getting another HD streamor the faster internet tier...or both.
2/13/2010 6:32:39 PM
wathmm, just ran speedtest for the first time in a while... getting 3-4Mbps... on the 6Mbps plan... anyone else that low?[Edited on February 13, 2010 at 6:53 PM. Reason : .]

^ Were any video streams in use? If the DVR is tearing it up, 2 HD + 2 SD with a conference call on two lines, your internet takes up the slack. Kinda neat, really. I've done this on purpose, but my currently slow 6mbps tier internet was unaffected. http://www.timewarnercable.com/Carolinas/learn/hso/speedtest.htmlDL: 5500 kbpsUL: 923 kbps[Edited on February 15, 2010 at 8:38 PM. $45? I'm paying $55 for 12/1 package... hmmm... Uverse is getting a call first thing in the morning. What are you guys paying for U200??? Is there a deal on that too?[Edited on February 15, 2010 at 10:06 PM. Reason : ?]

^^speedboost.
2/15/2010 10:05:31 PM
im only syncing at (below) in the lynn road area... ;-(• Incoming: 25208 kbps• Outgoing: 2040 kbpsbut i think its cause I am only buying internet and no tv, and added to that my net connection (18Mbps) is 95-100% utilized all day and night ;-( probably doesn't make me a good candidate for mo'speed.
2/15/2010 11:39:52 PM
I was paying 55 for the 12mbit package. Changed to the 18 for the same price online. Hopefully I'll get the $20 rebate for 'upgrading'.My connection is still completely hosed at night. The billing rep. I spoke to went ahead gave me a full refund for my TV package for this month. I really wish they would get a tech out here after the sun goes down to figure out what's killing my line.
2/15/2010 11:43:05 PM
damn that sucks, the best thing about this VDSL2 connection is that its really reliable. haven't had any problems, other than billing!
2/15/2010 11:46:15 PM
Getting it installed today! Hopefully the latency issue isn't as much of a nightmare as some people make it out to be. As long as the stability is better than Time Warner (aka non-existent) I'll be happy.
2/16/2010 1:14:01 PM
Stability has been great for me compared to TW. I also like the fact that it isn't TW.
2/16/2010 1:31:53 PM
got that 12/1.5 for $2 more actually getting close to those speeds as well.has anyone else problems not receiving their bill? this makes 2 months in a row that we didn't get ours...
2/19/2010 2:17:08 PM
^go online and check.
2/19/2010 2:33:22 PM
I've already checked to make sure we're supposed to get paper bills...
2/19/2010 2:36:41 PM
What did it say under the billing section? 0 balance or was there a balance? I don't remember getting a bill the first 2 months either but it was a long time ago.
2/19/2010 2:38:52 PM
wat. I've had uverse for about 9-10 months... there is a balance. our statement day is the 6th, we normally get the bill within a week. for the second month, we got no bill. I went online and paid it. I'm not sure what you're getting at...
2/19/2010 2:53:02 PM
I wasn't aware, my mistake. I was simply going off of what you said:
2/19/2010 3:07:02 PM
ohh... no. we just haven't gotten the bill over the last two months/billing cycles. my bad
2/19/2010 3:09:17 PM
Gotcha.
2/19/2010 3:10:46 PM
it's not a huge issue - but it serves as a good reminder and I always like my dealings with large companies/contracts to be in writing and sent through the mail.
2/19/2010 3:21:29 PM
2/19/2010 7:37:41 PM
32/5? wtf
2/19/2010 7:38:34 PM
^^Is that your RG at 32/5 or your actual internet service at 32/5? My RG reports at 32/5 but my internet service package is still 18/1.5
2/19/2010 7:59:46 PM
RG sync.internet is still at 18/1.5, but i did get someone to confirm they will be offering 24/2 in the very near future (as well as 3 HD streams).
2/19/2010 8:01:22 PM

CONSIDERING ABOUT 293750 PEOPLE ALONE IN THIS THREAD HAVE IT ID SAY YOURE DOING IT WRONG
2/21/2010 2:50:12 AM
oops didnt read the thread whereabouts are you rtp guys located? Ive put in addresses in Morrisville around 55, 54, and Davis Dr. and keep getting the "service is not available yet" message.
2/21/2010 8:42:05 AM
their series recording options are pretty lackingi wish they had a setting to only keep a certain number of shows per series
3/2/2010 7:15:19 PM
It's easy enough to go into the web interface and mass delete old shows. You can sort by date and just check off a bunch of old ones, then hit delete. So much faster than doing it with the remote.
3/5/2010 12:03:16 PM
good tip, thx
3/5/2010 12:05:14 PM
Oh yeah, I went from 6/1 to 12/1 for $2 more per month--now at $45/mo and got $20 back for the upgrade.Nice. Thanks for the heads up, guys.[Edited on March 5, 2010 at 1:28 PM. Reason : .]

got that 12/1.5 for $2 moreactually getting close to those speeds as well, 11.3/1.45But my down channel seems very unstable. It oscillates between 10 and 11.9mbps. When I had road runner the speed boost would be a stable 18mbps until exhausted, then a stable 9.9mbps. Different technology I guess. Also, while it is very rare, sometimes a TV show will hang for a second or two. Perhaps the RG is losing connection now and again? Connection Speed:• Incoming: 32000 kbps• Outgoing: 5040 kbps
3/5/2010 3:51:25 PM
Hmm, guess I should call them and see if they're willing to bump up my RG:• Incoming: 25208 kbps• Outgoing: 2040 kbps I'm getting the same interesting fluctuations in my download ... somewhere between 9.5-11.5 depending on who I run the speed test on. Upload is fairly consistent around 1.3-1.4.Honestly, for me, the stability of the 12/1.5 U-Verse connection outweighs the slight fluctuation I see at the top end and is much better than Roadrunner's BS.
