mangram is laying some kids the f out on his rivals highlight video.
10/25/2007 7:15:17 PM
Supposedly MAY have some grade problems, but just watch his Rivals video. He lays the fuckin lumber, damn
10/25/2007 7:47:08 PM
nice. TOB and company are getting some good players out of Georgia. how long before the media ostracizes TOB for recruiting the state of Georgia too much? http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/a.z?s=178&p=8&c=1&nid=2958935http://ncstate.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=63110&sport=1 (highlight video is on this page)Ht: 6-foot-2Wt: 190 lbsForty: 4.55 secsBench max: 330 poundsSquat max: 515 pounds
10/25/2007 8:02:41 PM
you could used that guys pic to make a new"you gonna get raped" picHe is fucking monster. TOB is going to fucking blow this place up.
10/25/2007 8:31:01 PM
He looks like a really hard hitting safety, like an Adrian Wilson. We've got two commits from players from Georgia Zach Allen and Roy Mangram, and we are currently the leader for Elton Ford and one of the leaders for A.J. McCray. All in all we have offered 7 players from Georgia this year.
10/25/2007 8:38:08 PM
Supposedly a big time kid that just hasn't been ranked yet.....offers from South Carolina and Clemson but he still needs to pass the SAT. If we can get him in, he will be big time
10/25/2007 8:38:20 PM
We may not have Florida connections anymore, but I'll take a pipeline to Georgia anyday.
10/25/2007 8:39:07 PM
Well we did get William Beasley from Milton, Florida, but we haven't recruited Florida nearly as hard as we have in the past. The only other Florida kid that we've offered is the #28 ranked Safety T'Sharvan Bell. Bell looks to be kind of wide open right now.
10/25/2007 8:44:20 PM
Wow, in that video, he's handing out concussions to anyone with the ball
10/25/2007 8:55:59 PM
those first couple of highlights he reads extremely well it seems, which is good, reminds me of a Reggie Nelson, that kid can hit yo.
10/25/2007 9:18:06 PM
does he not look bigger than 190 to anyone else???
10/25/2007 9:22:05 PM
10/25/2007 9:37:12 PM
his neck is bigger than my thigh...no seriously
10/25/2007 11:31:33 PM
Just looking at his pics, I thought he was a defensive end. Definitely an Adrian Wilson type, as someone mentioned earlier. Good. We need another big hitting safety.[Edited on October 26, 2007 at 12:10 AM. Reason : of course as big as he looks, olb might be a better fit, esp. in the 3-4]
10/26/2007 12:09:30 AM
Yeah we need someone that makes the WRs fearful of going over the middle. If he ends up becoming a player here I expect to hear the crowd yelling "BOOM" quite often.
10/26/2007 12:12:43 AM
Just looking at his pics, I thought he was a defensive end.
10/26/2007 12:17:58 AM
man its been a long time since this thread has been to the topalso RJ Mattes is going to be at the game this Saturday so be loud state fans
10/26/2007 12:33:41 AM
why is a safety wearing a neck roll. thats dumb.still beasting though. nice hits.[Edited on October 26, 2007 at 12:34 AM. Reason : yea]
10/26/2007 12:34:01 AM
that dude is a monster. adrian wilson part 2welcome to the pack
10/26/2007 1:55:45 AM
holy shitthat dude's helmet is a homing missile
10/26/2007 6:44:19 AM
Fucking A....my head hurts after watching that rivals video. Nice pickup for us.
10/26/2007 7:06:08 AM
10/26/2007 7:31:49 AM
He looks bigger b/c of the oversized shoulderpads/neck roll. Just think of the hits he'll get to make over the middle in our zone coverage scheme.
10/26/2007 9:01:47 AM
Roy Mangram = Bobby Bouchet
10/26/2007 9:02:48 AM
10/26/2007 9:07:29 AM
I bet he adds 30 lbs and moves to OLB in a 3-4 by 2010
10/26/2007 9:13:32 AM
I think he'd make a great 3-4 OLB, or possibly a solid pass-rushing DE. I doubt he actually plays S much.
10/26/2007 11:03:33 AM
10/27/2007 1:27:43 PM
http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/a.z?s=178&p=8&c=1&nid=24808954* OL R.J. Mattes is visiting this weekend. Show him some love. He'd be a great pickup for an already pretty good OL class.
11/5/2007 9:46:05 PM
Haha, we're recruiting this guy... looks like he'd fit in better at UNC..[Edited on November 9, 2007 at 4:16 PM. Reason : someone on the last page said the EXACT same thing... lol]]
11/9/2007 4:13:17 PM
most of our current commitments (including Glennon) should be in the house tomorrow. show 'em some love.
11/9/2007 9:43:13 PM
and be loud as fuckwe can carry HUGE off-season momentum if we win this game and somehow get to a bowl. Would be big for recruiting and it would end UNC's season if we win tmrw
11/10/2007 2:32:37 AM
^and because you said it, none of that will ever happen
11/10/2007 3:46:24 AM
hope they were there to see it happen
11/10/2007 6:17:40 PM
there were several recruits at the gamethey were all on the field before the game near the south end zone
11/10/2007 7:14:37 PM
This guy committed today I believehttp://ncstate.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=73791&sport=1
11/12/2007 5:02:57 PM
Looks to be true. Good we'll need a fullback down the road. Welcome to the Pack Mr. Jackson. Another Georgia commit. Look for the local media to start saying that TOB is ignoring the state of North Carolina and is recruiting Georgia too much.http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/a.z?s=178&p=8&c=1&nid=3434788Ht: 6-foot-2Wt: 225 lbsForty: 4.55 secsHad offers from Air Force and Georgia Southern. Auburn, Louisville, and Troy were other schools interested. Also I don't know when it happened but Earl Wolff is now a 3* player.[Edited on November 12, 2007 at 5:10 PM. Reason : ]
11/12/2007 5:05:52 PM
now we just need a guy named PACKK
11/12/2007 5:10:21 PM
Why are there no fullbacks that are ever highly rated? There are no fullbacks on Scout or Rivals that have a ranking over 3*'s. It seems like it could be a valuable position. They can help lead block for running backs on goal line drives. They can pound the ball on short yardage situations. They can also catch balls out of the backfield like RBs, but be able to rumble for a few yards like TE's. It's hard to bring down the big boys sometimes.

11/12/2007 7:50:47 PM
we got ourselves a team fellas
11/12/2007 7:52:37 PM
i do believe Miami(FL) offered the kid too....but he still picked us. Go Pack! Welcome!
11/12/2007 10:18:27 PM
I get the feeling and really hope that this turns out to be the hellacious recruiting class that it seems to be.if TOB can keep this up, 4 years from now
11/12/2007 10:23:22 PM
I hope Miami can turn it around. We need all of the ACC teams to be competitive, especially if we make a run at the BCS National Championship (although i'm joking around, TOB would be the man that could do it for us). Miami needs to find a QB. They have a good running game and their defense has speed. I hear Randy Shannon has some pretty outstanding commits right now.
11/12/2007 10:34:42 PM
^all his best recruits are "Soft Verbals"those kids from florida these days........i guess they just wanna be a part of a winner
11/12/2007 10:47:17 PM
Who do you all think/hope will commit next?Deion Walker I know is a longshot, but if TOB would get him I would stop TOB before he gets to his car at the end of the day, and do like Wayne and Garth. "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy, I'm scum, I suck!" Hopefully TOB would then say, "you're worthy, you're worthy, now get up." R.J. Mattes would be the next. I think we may see A.J. McRay and Elton Ford commit in the next month or so.[Edited on November 12, 2007 at 10:59 PM. Reason : ]
11/12/2007 10:58:45 PM
Mattes would be greatI havent checked lately but if Becton is still high on us, then him as well
11/12/2007 11:01:24 PM
Deion Walker isn't as much of a longshot as one would think. He's still talking about us, and I read something about how he doesn't understand why people don't think we're on his list. He's been on like 6-7 unofficial visits, and wanted to come to the Carolina game but stayed home due to family commitments. Reason would say that he's probably still leaning hard to FSU, but who knows? State sure has turned things around...
