I found some undercover TWWers at the game. After our touchdown i yelled "And Boom goes the Dynamite" and three nerds turned around to laugh. No offense guys.

that was a fun game either way[Edited on September 9, 2006 at 6:53 PM. Reason : regardless of what happened the refs shouldn't have ran off that fast]
9/9/2006 6:52:58 PM
hahaha... the old people in Vaughan towers were pretty much chanting that they wanted Akron's QBmy thought on the game: WE'RE COMING AROUND. Our Offense looked great in the 4th quarter. Now our biggest concern is the deep ball.. Our DB's need to step it up.
9/9/2006 7:07:09 PM
they just talked about chuck being on the hot seat again on ESPN and didn't even show highlights of the end of the game
9/9/2006 7:08:53 PM
haha. They just completely ripped us apart on ESPN. hah. The guy said chuck might not even make it through the rest of the season and that losing in week 2 to a mac team is an embarrassment.[Edited on September 9, 2006 at 7:09 PM. Reason : ^ hah. just a little bit earlier]
9/9/2006 7:09:11 PM
it is embarrassing and we do suck.
9/9/2006 7:10:02 PM
Hah. They're about to talk crap about us again on espn 2 during halftime of the AZ-LSU game[Edited on September 9, 2006 at 7:49 PM. Reason : ]

That cartoon is pretty fucking funny. We couldn't be more of a laughing stock of college athletics this year. Between the Basketball coaching search and Amato, hell hath no fucking fury

As much as I haet the fact that we picked up our first "L" of the season...I was glad when Marcus finally got into a rhythm....I haet it that our defense was on the fiield for 95% of teh damn game...BUT I must say I saw 'some' improvement in Marcus's play...and our defense overall will learn from this overall loss...and Ill be looking forward to see how they respond in a hostile environment in Southern MISS. I was watching the game at the Carolina Ale house in Durham...with a group of die hard Wolfpack Alumni, and the one good thing we can take out of this game is that our offensive line is maturing,...b/c no Akron player hardly ever got to Marcus the whole game.....GO PACK..learn from your mistakes....and THANK GOD this wasnt an ACC game....but playing Southern Miss, will be like playing Alabama in their home....so BE READY...GO PACK!

we definitely should have kicked the field goal on 4th down. Sure we would have only been up by 6, but it totally changed the tempo of the game. The only reason Akron was able to surge up and drive 90 some yards on us was because they were motivated from stopping our td attempt. With a 13-7 lead they probably wouldn't have scored, and if they had we would have had 2-3 minutes to drive down the field, use up the clock, and kick the winning field goal. Going for it simply put the game into their hands.and no, i probably wouldn't be bitching about this play call if we'd made it

^^I don't disagree with going for it on 4th downI disagree with Marcus Stone executing that play
9/10/2006 1:38:25 PM
Replay on ESPN looked like Marcus got down to about the 2.5 yard line and got knocked back about a yard, then they marked it where he landed, and not where his forward progress was stopped. Plus, Toney was tripped and fell on the 4 yard line a few plays earlier, and they marked that ball at the 5. Every fucking play that was close someone came in and moved the ball back a few feet. This was not limited to this one posession.IDK why i'm even bitching...the line judge was Rick Page (TA -6 points from the board vs. UNC for those who dont know). I dont mean to be a stone hater but I saw several plays yesterday where there was NO pressure on him and all he had to do was just throw a short 10 yard pass to a wide open man and was constantly under throwing the ball.
9/10/2006 2:49:03 PM
yeah he looked nervous as hell BUThe did have a pretty decent passing game in the 2nd half

9/10/2006 11:04:34 PM
http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/ah-64.htmIt was an AH-64 aka Apache
9/11/2006 7:38:53 AM
It's pretty bad when the best part of the game was a Toyota commercial that crossed the line."So, I'm driving in my Tundra and I'm seeing people pulling off the road. I think WTF! Is there an ambulance? Nope, it's just me in my Tundra running those tiny car bastards off the road! LOL. I'M THE MAN."
9/11/2006 8:07:22 AM
ok i hadnt seen that picture yet, now im just pissed off.i dont care if its Akron, he's down and that play should have been reviewed.
