^ actually, quantity makes more of a difference that one might think.

^if fells just let the offense come to him and played more within the flow of the game then i think his midrange game could be a real strength, but he starts getting frustrated when he isn't getting open shots and therefore starts forcing bad ones. i think i'm most excited about our 2008 recruit C.J. Williams, i know he's a 3* and not one of the most heavily recruited guys but i've seen him at every home game flashing the wolf sign with his hands and he just seems to have a real love for the university already and those are the kind of players i want to see come and play here.

It's awesome that Lowe is getting in early with great freshman recruits. If only I could find a way to stay in school another 3 or 4 years to see us play. We will be nasty starting next year.[Edited on March 14, 2007 at 8:37 AM. Reason : .]

GET LOWE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111I love hearing about El Sid
3/14/2007 8:39:18 AM
Sidney Lowe.Badass.This has been covered, but needs to be reiterated often. GET LOWE!
3/14/2007 11:06:15 AM
don't get too excited, he's leaving for the nba!

I had a dream bartosz was a major contributor in a game on cbs and had just came up with a loose ball inside, pivoted and jammed it in.billy packer was telling his story about how he sat out last year with injuries and has stepped up this season as one of the effective freshmen centers in the country
3/25/2007 9:14:30 PM
That's cool, I had a dream where penguins were ice skating.
3/25/2007 9:16:12 PM
^^We'll be lucky if he can run down the court without tripping on his own feet.
3/25/2007 9:19:09 PM
Martin Luther King Jr had a dream.....look at where that got him
3/25/2007 9:20:23 PM
I remember when I was living with my old roommates we watched a G'Town-Uconn game 2 years ago and Hibbert came on the court. We just couldn't stop laughing. He literally couldn't stand up on the court. He would get in everyones way and trip all over the court. Well, now he completely frustrated a consensus All-American and shifted momentum to help his team to the Final 4...Of course I laughed at Adam Simons the same way and he never developed.. hopefully Bartosz will be somewhere in the middle...[Edited on March 25, 2007 at 9:22 PM. I hope bartosz will be better in person than on college hoops 2k7. He bricked 2 wide open dunks and a layup and is slower than a 90 year old woman.
3/25/2007 9:28:19 PM
Actually, he's probably a little worse than that
3/25/2007 9:30:31 PM
McD's game on wednesday. JJ for MVP! haha
3/25/2007 10:10:20 PM
I remember MCROBOTS dominating the MCD AA game 2 years ago.He peaked early.
3/25/2007 10:16:54 PM
i'm looking forward to the McDonald's all american game
3/25/2007 11:40:12 PM
^^ i'd say more like he had a good night instead of peaking earlyMcBob has never impressed me

3/26/2007 2:42:45 AM
http://www.hoop-rap.com/news/newsview.php?getstory=985Looks like Javi is a great pickup.
3/27/2007 11:59:24 AM
pair that with the pick and roll stated earlierthats a nasty matchup for any defensego under the screen get shot in your face, go high and get pass on all day longgood to hear, this class is REALLY REALLY looking good
3/27/2007 1:34:34 PM
now if only tracy smith could qualify. good god i'm getting optimistic about basketball.
3/27/2007 1:35:19 PM
we have seen in the past how well optimism and NC State go together...But damn I am optimistic too...
3/27/2007 1:40:27 PM
we have also seen in the past how sidney lowe and nc state basketball go together that's how i'm going to look at it. holla.
3/27/2007 1:42:32 PM
bttt...J.J. Hickson will be in the McD's AA game tonight on ESPN @8.
3/28/2007 9:27:43 AM
^can't find if he is in the jam contest or not....but i figure he's probably gonna be w/ how big he is.

4/5/2007 9:54:48 PM
holy shit. that'd be amazing, but where are those scholarships coming from? wow.and the scary part is, we're probably the best basketball program on that list.
4/5/2007 9:58:06 PM
heres the original storyhttp://www.kansas.com/277/story/37784.htmli have no idea where we'd get more scholarships but fuck it, this would be awesome
4/5/2007 10:05:38 PM
fuck it, kick off bartosz and furg. get those kids here!
4/5/2007 10:13:56 PM
1. We have no scholarships available2. We have enough forwards that we know what to do with3. We don't need to be dropping/forcing anybody's scholarship for higher regarded recruits, we should be better than that and not stoop to that level
4/5/2007 10:14:00 PM
i'm sure ncsu can find an academic scholarship for bart to bring in beasley...and plus...if they aren't "sid's kids"...technically he can do what he wants with them.
4/5/2007 10:28:41 PM
4/5/2007 10:33:41 PM
^Yeah if K-State DOESN'T let them out of their LOI, then that is really shitty on their part. We were helping our kids out, since they really were coming here for Herb. Luckily at least Horner stayed. But you can't really blame K-State, they're going from looking like the next big thing to back in the shitter again if these 2 guys leave. I actually believe Sutton's comments could lead to them promoting that assistant to HC.
4/5/2007 10:44:58 PM
i wouldn't get my hopes up. we're pretty much set for the next two years. it'd be pretty sweet though if we could get them two in here next year if K-State doesn't release them and they have to sit out a year. Costner and Hickson could go pro after next year if they have great years.
4/5/2007 10:58:16 PM
^^ that's a big move to do for two guys who might only stay a year or two. if they aren't going to do it anyway, i doubt they'd do it just to appease these two recruits.[Edited on April 5, 2007 at 10:58 PM. Reason : ^]
4/5/2007 10:58:30 PM
what?!see in the past we'd hear a/b lowe II and larry harris runnin wild on the streets and that'd be the end of all hope.but now, with the new age of king lowe, even after such crappy news...there's hope that the cursed era is truly a thing of the past...there's hope that our amazing recruiting class might just get better...and there's hope that we can, well, actually hope again...that things are starting to look good for the wolfpack nation once againannnnd then in typical wolfpack fashion those hopes would soon be dashedbut i got a feeling...not this time, baby.not this time.
4/6/2007 3:40:06 AM
We'll see, I'm skeptical at this point.
4/6/2007 10:18:37 AM
I have a feeling those 2 will end up at K-State, WVU, or FSU. I don't know why, but I have a feeling they see immediate PT at FSU where as here we could be like UNC this year and have a log-jam of talent.
4/6/2007 10:29:04 AM
I don't think we should ditch any players for new recruits, as good as they might be. However, if it is in the player and program's best interest for guys to transfer, either b/c they won't get any PT or for academic or personal reasons, I have no problem with bringing them in.I also believe schollys still count against us if they are enrolled at NCSU, but they could always go the JuCo route (if K State won't release them).
4/6/2007 10:31:30 AM
4/6/2007 10:32:32 AM
Well I didn't think I needed to say that walk-ons don't count as scholarship players...
4/6/2007 10:39:57 AM
bobby frasor is a no scholly player at UNC / or waswhats your point?
4/6/2007 10:45:32 AM
Just that they would still count against our scholarships even if they sat out next year.
4/6/2007 10:47:49 AM
Here is the scholarship situation that I worked out a couple pages ago. You can give out 8 scholarships every 2 years (no more than 5 in a year) and have a total of 12 scholarship players.
