waiti need to rephrase that one, sorryThomas Jones vs PITTRudi Johnson vs CLESteven Jackson vs MIN[Edited on December 8, 2005 at 1:42 PM. Reason : now make your decision]

this is my logic:The steelers are a desparate team right now, and typically play well against the run. Not to mention the weather is supposed to suck ass and i dont expect more than a 9-6 score in this game. Jomes os the weakest play of the three. As For Rudi....Here's my logicRudi:
12/8/2005 2:13:22 PM
The Steelers D has not been playing well against the run lately. Jones is a better pick than Jackson.
12/8/2005 2:21:56 PM
i would agree about Jones over Jackson, but i think i will play Rudi and Thomas this week.
12/8/2005 2:57:14 PM
Housh vs CHIor T.Glenn vs KC[Edited on December 8, 2005 at 3:01 PM. Reason : this is a toughy because both teams have good defenses]
12/8/2005 3:00:00 PM
houshhoush will always be single-covered because of chad. chad's cousin isn't nearly as scary in my opinion, so glenn could get more attention defensively.plus housh is coming off a huge game against the steelers.
12/8/2005 3:16:44 PM
definitely housh.a) he is on a nasty streak of some great games recently.b) flys under the radar as a #2 receiverc) the browns play a cover 2 base defense, allowing one on one coverage for short and intermediate routes.....which Housh specializes in for the Bengals. I expect both he and Chris Henry to have productive days against Cleveland.d) putting faith in Drew Bledsoe is like playing Russian Roulette.

yeah im definitely going with Rudibut i can choose two RB's thats why i was saying Rudi and Jones[Edited on December 8, 2005 at 5:04 PM. Reason : i gotta be like Panthro and have my own image ]
12/8/2005 5:03:37 PM
^thanks. i still say Rudi and Jackson though.i'm not going to go into detail.....jsut remember this conversation Sunday night.

i will Jacksons StatsRush Yds TD 203 869 7Jones 236 1005 6 [Edited on December 9, 2005 at 10:55 AM. Reason : pretty close huh]
12/9/2005 10:45:16 AM
^ hmmmmmmmmi hope thats not sarcasm, because i have answered all of your questions, in great detail for that matter, more than anyone else on here.this is my final attempt to persuade you.The Bears are playing at Pittsburgh, likely either very cold or inthe snow, in a must win situation for the Steelers after losing two straight, with the Bears having a terrible passing attack, and a new QB controversy as well. Cower is gonna have those fuckers ready, with the line stacked and daring Orton to throw. The Rams are playing in a dome, against the Vikings, whose secondary is much improved but the run defense is still very lackluster. Play Jones and be very sorry, i'm telling you right now!- The Guru.[Edited on December 9, 2005 at 11:44 AM. Reason : Grrrrrrrrrrrr]
12/9/2005 11:44:07 AM
no sarcasm here, im just a Bears fan i have 4 total RB'sS.Jackson vs MINT.Jones vs PITTR. Johnson vs CLEL. Jordan vs NYJi was going to play Rudi and Jonesand Jordan as a W/R[Edited on December 9, 2005 at 1:43 PM. Reason : out of those 4 you really think i should play Jackson and Johnson][Edited on December 9, 2005 at 1:44 PM. Reason : .]
12/9/2005 1:39:26 PM
well, thats the first time you have said anything about Jordan. with Collins sitting, and Tuiasasopo @ QB, not to mention Jordan playing the team that dumped him. Jordan is a must play. If you can still pick 2 after that, definitely go with Rudi and Jackson.BEWARE HOWEVER........If the Bengals game turns into a blowout, dont be suprised to see all of thier starters sitting, including Rudi, allowing my man Chris Perry to get some run.
12/9/2005 3:34:25 PM
^chris henry is a better fantasy play than chris perry this week for the bengals...he should catch a td pass...
12/9/2005 4:50:05 PM
i was referring to the chance that the game would be a blowout, not overall fantasy production.but yup, he is one of the best #3 receivers in the game.considering the standings and such, if the game were a blowout, they probably wouldnt throw much anyway. therefore chris perry would be a better play imo.....but in the scheme of a normal game, you are correct sir, Henry is more likely to make some noise.btw, i picked up Perry today just incase the Bengals clinch the division sometime soon. One of my leagues is teh ghey with the Championship in week 17. Perry would be a great play for that.

Broncos D/ST vs Bal or Falcons D/ST vs NO?right now i'm starting Holt, Fitzgerald, and KRob...would you replace any of those with McGahee or Santana Moss?very important week this week... head-to-head battle for first place heading into the playoffs[Edited on December 9, 2005 at 11:34 PM. Reason : *]
12/9/2005 11:22:07 PM
^tough decision between KRob and Moss, both have good matchups and can put up big numbers, especially if your league gives points for return yardsif your league does give points for return yards, I'd go with KRob, if it doesnt, I'd go with Mosseither way, I wouldnt play McGaheeokay, now pick my #3 receiver:Jimmy Smith vs. Colts (has been getting more looks from Gerrard lately)Antonio Bryant vs. Bengals (could be a shootout and Frye doesnt look bad)Eddie Drummond vs. Packers (my league gives 1 point per 25 return yards, so he's usually a solid option to pick up decent points every week, but he is listed as questionable right now)
12/10/2005 3:57:34 PM
krob might catch dropitis again.
12/10/2005 4:01:48 PM
Smith, No Question. The other guys are douchebags! Frye wont be so lucky against a real secondary.Drummond? are you kidding me? He's like the #3 on the Lions!Nigga please! Dont think twice. Start Smith.
12/10/2005 6:14:34 PM
yeah smith is definitely a better bet
12/10/2005 7:10:46 PM
I have Smith in my lineup already, just wanted to see if anyone else had a reason why he wouldnt be a good choiceand yes Eddie Drummond, he was my #3 receiver last week and got more points than my #1 receiver. He might not be the best receiver on the Lions, but he's a damn good returner and we get points for punt and kickoff return yards (which is does both)
12/10/2005 7:20:25 PM
yeah I got Wes Welker for that same damn reason!*slap hands*
12/10/2005 7:21:45 PM
Broncos D/ST vs Bal orFalcons D/ST vs NO?any suggestions on the D?
12/11/2005 1:46:09 AM
Bronco's D
12/11/2005 1:54:08 AM
hmmmmmmmm.i actually say Atlanta.Atlanta may give up more points then the Broncos, but the Saints average about 4.5 turnovers per game. The falcons are bound to return an interception or fumble for a TD.Gives you a reason to watch a terrible MNF as well.I'd go with Atlanta
12/11/2005 11:19:16 AM
The last time Atlanta played New Orleans, they almost got beat, and they gave up 31 points. Both Atlanta and Denver got beat last week and gave up quite a few points. I look for both units to bounce back and bounce back well. So when both teams are going to be playing strong and against terrible offensive units, I go with talent. Also, Denver is second in the league with take-aways. Denver is also playing a rushing team, and they ranked 3rd in the league against the rush, and after last week's beating from Larry Johnson, I'm sure they'll look to bounce back and stuff Jamal Lewis.Baltimore has a total of 27 turnovers this year, New Orleans has 32, not a significant difference here, both teams are going to turn the ball over often. Denver is ranked higher in rush D and Atlanta is ranked higher than pass D. But then again, New Orleans is ranked higher in rush, passing, and total offense than Baltimore. And not to mention that Baltimore is 0-6 in the road, and Denver hasn't lost at home. Both D's will probably do fine, but Atlanta hasn't been playing that well as of late, so I'd go with the better team.
12/11/2005 11:47:03 AM
Oh say it ain't so LT, why are you questionable?!?LT vs Miami (questionable, Z. Thomas is back)Portis @ ArizonaGreen @ DallasJohnson vs. STLPick one of each.
12/11/2005 12:00:13 PM
LT and brad
12/11/2005 12:05:49 PM
That's what I've had, but when I saw LT was questionable my faith started waivering.
12/11/2005 12:27:56 PM
i think he'll play. most of the time when a player is questionable he will play, especially with them in the wild card hunt for the playoffs. the only way he will sit is if they get up by like 30 or if he is really just hurt bad. and if that were the case, he'd be listed as doubtful or out.
12/11/2005 12:48:30 PM
hope you all listened to this

its not like Housh was a bad play....Glenn just ended up being a better one. They both scored a TD, so quit your crying, bitch.- The Guru
12/11/2005 8:06:32 PM
yeah its not like housh scored 2.05 points
12/11/2005 8:08:06 PM
i got WAXED today which happened to be our playoffs...injuries murdered me...i was left with big ben, jamal lewis, michael bennett, and randy mcmichael starting...smith, boldin, wayne, and galloway couldn't make up for them either...

Its official, Brunnell sucks, and I need a new QB, as the only other QB I have currently is Josh McCown (you have to pay for each add/drop in my league, so it just picking up guys for the heck of it doesnt pay off). The notables that are available...Ben Roethlisberger, Kurt Warner, David Garrard, and Chris Simms. Roethlisberger is never going to put up big numbers in that system, and the Cardinals are too inconsistent to play Warner, so Im leaning toward David Garrard. The Jags are playing San Francisco, @ Houston, and Tennessee in the next 3 games...all favorable matchups. Is he my best bet?
12/13/2005 6:22:32 AM
Atlanta also had 6 sacks, 4 pass deflections, and a saftey. They scored better in all three of my leagues.Hope you listened to the guru.
12/13/2005 8:18:56 AM
One of my leagues is an 8 team league where all 8 teams go into a 3 round playoffs. The first round of the playoffs was yesterday, and the top 4 teams, including myself, were all upset by the bottom 4 teams. A 2-11 team beat a 10-3 team and a 2-10-1 team beat a 9-4 team. What pisses me off more than anything is that the guy playing me had Ahman Green starting, which means he probably hasn't checked his lineup all year.
12/13/2005 9:08:25 AM
i went with my gut and stuck with Denver.... Denver's D produced twice as many fantasy points as the Falcons D.i'm not sure what you are the guru of but it surely isn't fantasy football.
