I think this is what I heard: Modric became the third outfielder (non-keeper) over 40 to play in a World Cup game. Ronaldo became the second earlier in the day. Roger Milla of Cameroon was the first in 1994. And I think there's a fourth in this Cup too.

I don't think anything I saw from US soccer over the last decade would have made me predict the outcome of these two games

This half more normal, but first 3 halves about as dominant as I've seen them
