This has to all lead to collective bargaining and employee status soon. It’s the only logical end point. The sooner we get there the better for everyone.

If Washington sues and wins what even is the ruling?…like, forcing him to remain at Washington? I guess if there was a signing bonus upfront that would have to be repaid. I would assume payments from the agreement are based on being enrolled in school and being on the roster in the 2026 season. Surely there’s language in the contract about what happens if and when a party is in breach of the contract. But when the contracts aren’t public and these things aren’t out in the open, this is kinda what the schools set themselves up for. You do want this to happen? Then make them employees.

I mean since these contracts are for name/image marketing and explicitly not for on-field performance (which is against NCAA rules) I don't think Washington has much of a case.

Revenue sharing is the schools directly paying players for using their NIL. As such, it sure seems that the worst thing that would happen for not playing for that school would be not getting paid.
