Some things never change. We lose a guy prematurely to the “nba draft” (probably just gonna play in Europe). UNC gets RJ Davis back for like a 6th fucking year instead of him pursuing a professional career.

^^he said something along the lines of being 100% focused on his professional career, which i took to mean that he was gone regardless of if he is drafted into the NBA.

^RJ Davis is like MAYBE 6 feet tall. You have to be really, really good to be a pro basketball player at normal people height. You only have to be really good if you are nearly 7 feet tall.

Sucks losing him but I think some of his rebounding stats could have been a little padded by Burns & Middlebrooks being not so good rebounders. And next season we will have BHH who almost averaged double digit rebounds at UL so maybe Mo doesn't keep putting up those same #'s next season if he stays? Plus the dudes gonna be 24 next year and he's probably just trying to move on with his life (Euro career).

It's already been discussed, but he and other international dudes are still getting paid through legal workarounds. I'm sure we could have paid him as much or more than a lower level Euro league team next season but it sounds like he just wants to be back overseas and move on with his life since he's been in the US for several years now (since prep school) and he's almost 24 years old.

Seems like we have a lot of potentially interchangeable pieces at the 2/3 positions. Lots of possible combinations. And I think we can expect to see lineups with Hill at the point. Pass will definitely have the opportunity to play some legit minutes next year. Pass is limited clearly, but I think he’s capable of giving us 10 ish solid minutes a night. Styles, D Parker, even Rice could play small ball 4 but I don’t think that’s the ideal situation.

I really want to believe his "lower leg injury" in the pre-season really set him back and that's why he hardly played last season. But this year he'll stay healthy in the pre-season and be a solid back-up....

Feels like best case is he gives us 5-10 mins/game. If he’s forced to play more than that then we might be in trouble. If he’s can’t even give us 5-10 mins then it’s probably a wasted scholarship

I think it depends on certain factors. Like i don't think you can if you've previously offered a scholarship to them, but that might be wrong. I don't feel like looking it up in the bylaws. Might also have to do with official visits IDK. Otherwise you'd have schools skirting the rules already and i don't see Kentucky basketball doing this or Alabama football.
