^^ the parking infrastructure has been the same for over 20 years and the NHL will have next to nothing to do with parking

unless I’ve missed an article about them bringing in their own parking attendants, there’s no reason to doubt that the same company who has been handling parking there will be there on Saturday

I read that earlier today and it seems like it was 2 issues?

1. That NC State "didn't want to have anything to do with it" is kinda weird and feels out of character, but I dunno. Any chance it was an Adidas conflict? I dunno anything about Canes' licensing.

2. It sounds like there were people on Canes staff that were UNC/Duke that didn't want them dressed out in Wolfpack gear?

it was a great time out there, tailgating was packed. and awesome to see that many people at a canes game. I slept in, kids went to the inlaws, and we went to watch state beat UNC*.

I don't know the full story in terms of parking, but I know from several people that the NHL really dropped the ball on just about every front in producing the game.

From someone who works video I know that the Canes kinda rolled up expecting to use our in-house equipment. But they couldn't since it was already being used for baseball/softball broadcasts. So they had to rent a bunch of production trucks at the last second. Seems to me like that would be a detail that would've come up at some point in a production meeting, but I'm not sure who's at fault there.

And apparently none or very few of the EMS/fire fighter volunteers were fed despite working all day.

Traffic control as we already know was a mess. I didn't attend, but it seems like they had no intent with how to disburse parking spots.

Results wise, the game was a huge success, but it seems like negative effort went into planning.
