My gut tells me it's going to be a rough, rough next two years, but I also was pretty pessimistic during the 2018 midterms and things went a bit better than expected. Early voting seems to favor Dems, but it's probably cancelled out by the rampant gerrymandering/voter suppression.I think the House absolutely flips and the Senate stays the same at 50/50.

Ted Budd has been in Congress since 2017, but this is the year he finally does something about inflation if he's re-elected
10/28/2022 7:21:21 PM
He will fix it!
10/28/2022 8:08:39 PM
Any chance there's so much bad news, cynicism, and reservation baked into the prevailing narrative that there's room for an upside surprise?
11/3/2022 2:57:29 AM
No. Things are just going to get way more violent.
11/3/2022 8:58:05 AM

the fact that turnout is lowest for the elections will impact americans the most directly (local and state) really says it all

This seems like it's gonna be a bloodbath for dems
11/8/2022 7:35:39 PM
way too early to tell
11/8/2022 7:58:39 PM
if dems are poised to lose the senate, it is probably best for a runoff to happen in georgiawill chase oliver bring it in???
11/8/2022 8:03:20 PM
Last runoffs there went OK. But there was more anti-Trump sentiment then.
11/8/2022 8:06:21 PM
yeah. polls show though that while people want a republican senate, they tend to not want a republican in their state this election.so if they take the majority, people will be more inclined to vote warnock and less inclined to vote herschel[Edited on November 8, 2022 at 8:08 PM. Reason : mixing up my elections]
11/8/2022 8:07:50 PM
I'm not sure I'm following you on that one.
11/8/2022 8:10:13 PM
Essentially, people want a more republican senate in general, (culture wars, whatever, idc), but most do not want their particular state to be the one giving those republican seats, which indicates that the republican candidates specifically are in a way subpar to the standards of voters. so while they like the idea of a republican controlled senate, they don't particularly like their republican candidateas per some polls donenow, if the republicans win the senate and we go into a runoff, since people have already seen that the republicans have the senate, going with the above theory, they are less incentivized to vote against warnock cause the senate is already republican and with warnock being elected not disturbing that majority, would be less irked by it, and less likely to vote for budd, since theyre not particularly fond of him in the first place, it is mostly about that republican majority, by which this point is already there[Edited on November 8, 2022 at 8:17 PM. warnock's position seems a bit precariousa pity if he loses.
11/8/2022 8:28:06 PM
^^^That scenario would indicate that the runoff would be meaningless on a national stage.
11/8/2022 8:28:58 PM
yes, but warnock is cool.Call me guilty of falling for appearances but I appreciate him more than most other politicians[Edited on November 8, 2022 at 8:32 PM. Reason : .]

Florida is trash. I've been consistent on that point. Unless you're Obama, Florida always goes red. Pretending otherwise is just leading the audience on.

I can't speak for the Dem Party strategy
11/8/2022 9:58:12 PM
Imagine being Warnock and losing to Walker Really does make politics seem pointless. It’s not even about candidate character or knowledge or anything else at this point
11/8/2022 10:14:41 PM
I don't think walker is winning, probably a warnock or a runoffthe bibb and dougherty counties are only 7% in and they're big and democratic
