Props to my Heels on making the Elite 8. If St. Peter's wasn't still in it, we'd be recognized as the true Cinderella story that we are this year. This ragtag bunch only has 9 4-star recruits and a mere 2 5-star recruits on the roster, so no one thought we'd amount to much. But we perservered through adversity to show what a team full of backups and nobodies could do. None of our players would start for St. Peter's, they will probably be favored by 18 or 20 points on Sunday. Go Heels! Let's wear that glass slipper!]

Maybe UNC players will test positive for COVID and they’ll have to foref…. lmao just kidding.

How anyone could watch this tournament (even the early rounds) and not see the stark difference between the offenses and systems those teams are running and whatever the fuck trash we run is beyond me. We aren’t a few key transfers away. We are an entire philosophical system away from competing at that level regularly. I would take Holloway as coach in a heartbeatBig 10 is and has been overrated af for a while now.

Everyone loves an underdog story, unless it's your team playing the underdog

The Holloway remark was mostly wishful thinking. We are stuck with Keatts dragging at the bottom of the ACC for another year. The limited success Keatts has had has been in spite of his system, not because of it. Our offense is trash even when we had Markell. We completely wasted DJs career (someone who should have been killer in a pick and roll) because we have always been incapable of getting the ball to our bigs. We have had some good athletes and shooters and have won games because of them in the ISO and we have also ran well in transition—I will give Keatts that. I’m convinced that isn’t a formula for consistently winning close games. I don’t watch much college bball outside of State, but have watched a decent amount of this tournament. When you see teams that run actual half-court offense sets and have motion and passing, it’s like a kick in the face after watching this state team since Keatts has been here. I know I’m not changing anyones mind here so it’s whatever. I just don’t understand how anyone can watch actually good teams and not be insanely jealous of what a competent coach could do for a program.

Teams that win in the tourney have some combination of good guards, good shooters, good bigs, and good defense. We have basically none of that. I agree about Funderburk. He should’ve been more of a focal point. Markell was a good PG but def a ball dominant guy. Haven’t had a great distributor at the point. And that’s on KK
3/26/2022 1:54:13 PM
I mean we haven't had a good distributor at PG since Gottfried ran off Tyler Lewis. Every single guy since then has been a shoot first guy.
3/26/2022 6:50:05 PM
Lewis was the definition of a pass first, traditional PG. But I thought Zo was a good passer and distributor. He was a bit of a combo guard, i guess. But wasn’t ball dominant like DSJ, Cat, or Kells
3/26/2022 6:58:59 PM
Markell was top-10 in the nation in assists one year. Tyler was pass-first but he also wasn't very good.]

Brown was before Lewis. Also Lewis wasn't terrible, in fact as a senior he was actually pretty good as he finally started hitting shots. But even without that, he was good at creating offense while having very low turnover rates. Also, without him we never get sophomore year TJ Warren, as it was pretty widely known that Warren preferred playing with Lewis over Cat Ballhoger.

Zo and Lewis were on the same team for Lewis’ freshman year I think. But yeah, Zo was older.

This week is going to be wildly insufferable
3/27/2022 6:31:52 PM
i think both Duke and UNC fans are scared af that they lose this game. So they should actually be nervous and miserable all week.

Glad I'm in Asheville this week and don't have to be on campus. I hope K and Duke get the W over the Heels.
3/27/2022 7:16:31 PM
I hope whichever team wins loses by 40 in the finals

Football is especially bad for it. But the most annoying thing on game broadcasts (especially big games with more production $) is the networks using their fancy camera angles that add absolutely nothing to the broadcast and, if anything, make it more difficult to actually see what’s happening.

Just turn it off dms, it brings no joy!
4/2/2022 10:51:58 PM
Imagine being 1 of the 74,000 in attendance in a football stadium to try and watch these games in person
4/2/2022 10:53:30 PM
^^ I was referring to, uhhhh, the NIT^ yeah I’m sure it’s fun as hell to go if your team is there but man that doesn’t actually feel an enjoyable viewing experience at all. Which is very easy for me to say because my team will never make the final 4 in my life [Edited on April 2, 2022 at 11:14 PM. Reason : A]
4/2/2022 11:13:38 PM
^I mean I'm sure it's fun if it's your team, but the viewing angles are shit when they try to cram a bunch of people in a space made for football, for a basketball game. Nosebleed seats are probably 3x worse than nosebleeds in an actual basketball arena.
4/2/2022 11:19:33 PM
Right. I’m agreeing with you. The only reason to go is just say you went. Not because it’s a good viewing experience.
4/2/2022 11:24:46 PM
ah i see
4/2/2022 11:34:04 PM
What a stupid fucking play
