They stole two games from Cav and Mav and now are back to normal again. If they don't make trades to save this team before the deadline, they are dying.

Isn't dying kind of the goal this year? I feel really good about the PGs on the team. Devonte and Rozier have played WAY above expectations.I feel good about PJ Washington. He won't be a superstar, but he does a lot of good things out there.I feel really bad about basically everything else. The team desperately needs a quality C and a high-scoring wing.
1/7/2020 11:01:56 AM
The rumor now is some teams are interested about Zeller and Marvin. They could be traded for something interesting. My guess---Zeller will be kept as he's still a good backup C and veteran; Marvin, Batum or MKG will be leaving soon. If that's true, the whole major roster of the last decade are gone.

Graham is a candidate for MIP this season but he’s just an interim leader. The future belongs to Washington or someone else. Graham is a down-sized Kemba, which makes him look like Bogus lol
1/7/2020 12:26:34 PM
So heres where this team is...Rozier and Graham are nice enough guards. They can score pretty well. Thats about where it ends. The Miles Bridges for Shea Gilgeous-Alexander trade was a complete and utter fuckup. Bridges is basically absolutely fucking useless. PJ Washington looks like he is going to be a solid stretch 4 in the league for a while. Possibly the best first round pick since Kemba. And thats where the workable pieces of this team end. Everything else is complete shit. This team has 3 solid pieces and the rest is just straight trash. And what sucks, is there isn't even a talent in the draft this year that you would like for them to tank for. Its a bunch of "eh..he may be something ok one day".

But that's true, by Jordan's standard.

Also just saw this on CBSSports.com's midseason NBA Awards. Good stuff on Graham:

A strong candidate of MIP imo is Nunn of Miami Heat if G league experience is counted. He rises from a no-name G league player to one of the starting five of NBA title contender.

Graham in the 3pt contest
2/4/2020 1:38:17 PM
Bridges, Washington and him are gonna play against the world in the rising stars game. This probably never happened before--three hornets are picked to the rising stars roster. And the whole US roster are full of players from the southeast---Zion Williamson (New Orleans), Trae Young (Atlanta), Tyler Herro (Miami), Kendrick Nunn (Miami),Jaren Jackson Jr. (Memphis), Ja Morant (Memphis). The southeast division is rising![Edited on February 4, 2020 at 2:09 PM. Reason : grammar]

a few days late but hornets waived Marvin Williams (now with MIL) and MKG (now with DAL). Batum and Biyombo are also taking up a lotta salary....Biyombo is a FA this year and Batum is in 2021, but i doubt he's back with the hornets next year. the youth movement is, apparently, in full effect. hornets won last night vs DET. i've got $10 riding the hornets win total over 23 and we're inching closer to me cashing in!

The swarm lose a lot of fat and we are back in shape. I'm very looking forward this summer drafting more young talents. I'm a bit regretful for Marvin's leaving tho. He's still a solid rotation player, but all his stats are going down to the lowest of the career. Only starting in one game this season. Bucks picks him up like Raptors did to Jeremy Lin last yr. Good luck on the championship run.

Malik Monk suspended indefinitely for drugs

sounds like it's not weed or PEDs
2/26/2020 11:28:26 PM
It's either something innocuous like adderall or something heavy duty, like cocaine.Whatever it was, I hope it wasnt why Monk's been balling out latelyWe're gonna see a lot more of the Martin twins bc of this. (Not a bad thing... those two hustle their asses off)

A win is a win. Beat the Raptors tonight!
2/28/2020 10:22:06 PM
Tanking is a dumb long-term team-building philosophy, but I am hoping we lose more than we win the last couple dozen games of the season.
2/28/2020 11:25:18 PM
Tanking only works with a competent front office
2/28/2020 11:57:41 PM
and even then, nobody has ever won a championship with a long-term tanking strategy.[Edited on February 29, 2020 at 1:16 AM. he was probably like "Michael Jordan, fuck you, I'll be the one to decide Kemba's fate"
2/29/2020 2:30:11 AM
Two very frustrating losses at home lately. We were SO close. These two makes the chance of entering playoffs less than before. However, P.J Washington is rising quickly. He could be the leader of this team over the next five years.
3/6/2020 10:01:56 AM
Nah, both been good losses IMO. Young guys really showing promise - Grahm, PJ, Martins, McDaniels, even Rozier. But they aren't making the playoffs.Keep improving, keep losing, boost those lottery odds
3/6/2020 2:45:42 PM
Well, teams like Cavs, Knicks and GSW basically give up already. They just do nothing, or keep losing and wait for the lottery. We are in a much better situation. At least we keep a very positive attitude and try to win more games. After all, there's still one quarter of the schedule ahead.
3/6/2020 3:03:21 PM
Beat the Rockets today
3/7/2020 10:00:50 PM
Beat the Heat at their home last night. Amazing! Martin brothers got on the stage and played excellent D. Utilize the suspension time and we will emerge stronger than ever before.
3/12/2020 10:16:53 AM
The Martin twins really are surprising me. I knew they'd play hard and scrappy, but they have an unbelievable feel for the game. They move the ball well, time their cuts perfectly, take good shots, take charges, are great on help defense -- all the little things that young players struggle with. Of course, they're 23 years old, so some of it makes sense, but they might end up being the steals of the draft when it's said and done.
