Multiple timelines and saving her in the alternate timeline makes sense if the time travel in this movie was such that it was a multiple timeline situation as some movies or shows do(jumping from one timeline to another). We don’t get a ton of info on the time travel in this movie, it’s just not a focus in regards to the “science” or potential issues, but there is enough given to imply the time travel is more of a “back to the future” situation with just one continuous timeline where past decisions will influence/change the future. It seems like the characters know and understand that, so trying to come back to the future to save her made no sense in the context of time travel in this particular movie.

Tomorrow War actually had decent acting and was "fun" to watch, but you really had to turn your brain off and even then I was rolling my eyes a LOT. I'm used to movies having convenient timings and things popping up to help the heroes, but this one, there were some tough ones to lover look. But also some things I just didn't get....spoilers below. So they send people back to tell us there is an alien invasion in 30 years and we're getting our asses kicked. Why would we send 1/3 of our population to the future to fight them, when instead we could just gather all the intel from the returning group and try to piece together a plan? I think the world could band together against an alien threat, but I'd think everyone would push to just start ramping up military/science spending to prepare for the eventual invasion. Esp when every family of someone that dies gets $1m tax-free, that's a lot of people and money we could just pump into preparing. Also, no way Dan and his wife would be the only scientists that would be thinking about ways to detect the aliens and the possibility they're already on the planet. I get the talon helped them determine it, but you'd think they'd go ahead and start looking immediately and/or setting up new satellites just to focus on the area to keep constant eyes on it.They said they did the "Sabbath" for jumps because every 7th day the aliens "rested", but they clearly could jump prematurely because they brought in Dan's squad early because the "last" research facility was about to fall. So why couldn't they send Dan back as soon as they had the final version of the toxin? Also, the timing of the attack as SOON as they created the toxin was a bit ridiculous, but whatever, they alluded to the queen secreting a sweat that was clearly attracting them. Don't even get me started on the volcano kid when Charlie worked for a Geology R&D company, he'd clearly have other resources to reach out to that were a little more educated. Though loved Charlie's comments while the kid was explaining it. So we get to the spaceship(with an amazing plane, with his super dad getting into Russia undetected, with all that toxin that I assumed the government owned and would keep under lock and keep, and snow mobiles and all the gear they could need), and they are able to cut through the hull with a saw(very, very questionable). Ok, so you find a room with what clearly looks like 1 queen and a bunch of males. Few things here. Why are you stabbing anything but the queen first? Also, if you have C4 as a fall-back plan to kill everything....why not just start with that while everything is still sleeping? Load up the C4, leave dude behind to blow it if he wants or trigger it remotely, and just blow the whole ship up?End spoilers

Or you could enjoy the movie, did adults do this to T2? Im sure I would have done that in college so I guess I can't talk shitAnyway that movie was wildly entertainingTomorrow War is also obviously in the Alien multiverse. It was a cousin to Prometheus/Covenant

Terminator time travel is the worst. Also, the Terminator movies are like bottom tier Arnold movies.
7/11/2021 12:23:37 AM
^What is medium and top tier?Predator prob my toppest tier. Comedies all bottom tier, most movies after True Lies bottom tier…not much left…[Edited on July 11, 2021 at 4:38 AM. Reason : Kindergarten Cop is top tier]
7/11/2021 4:33:29 AM
Jingle all the way is top tier, along with predator, commando, kindergarten cop, total recall, running man. Maybe last action hero.Mid tier is pretty much everything else besides the Terminator series (even junior and twins. Especially junior and twins. Arnold's comedic timing is vastly underappreciated)Bottom tier is all the Terminator movies. I've just never liked them. Maybe i just hate James Cameron movies? Ok i looked on imdb and the only things he's written that i remotely care for are true lies and aliens, so i guess that's not true, but man he's made a lot of shit i don't care if for.
7/11/2021 9:52:45 AM
If i had to live on a deserted island of arnold movies, i’d prob pick kindergarten cop, predator, t2, total recall, and true lies. Last action hero i need to give a fair watch. The few times i saw on tv seemed ok. I remember stallone being in t2 poster, and evil devil dude from golden child is antagonist, glass eye or some shit. Several ppl say it is one of his better films[Edited on July 12, 2021 at 2:02 AM. Reason : Obviously if i am on a deserted island, I’d want more than just 5 arnold movies]

So apparently Tomorrow War is getting a sequel, haha. Can't wait to see where they go with that one.

Day After Tomorrow War
7/15/2021 3:24:44 PM
Do they really need a sequel? They already jammed like four movies into one.

Watched the first episode of wheel of time tonight, was pretty disappointed, mostly with how it looked. I thought the actual visual look of the show was just fucking abysmal. Looked old, shitty, and cheap. There was so much that looked sped up, I don’t know if they filmed it in an irregular FPS for some reason, or if they artificially sped it up after the fact, but it often looked bad and off. Combine that with bad/too fast cuts and edits, and very sub par cgi, I thought it just looked horrible. Almost on par with a sci-fi original from the mid 90s. I think they spent a ton of money on this thing too. If they did, and it looks like this, I’m pretty worried for the lord of the rings series they’re making.
11/23/2021 9:59:50 PM
Really? I've watched the first 3 episodes and we have really enjoyed and thought it looked great.
12/9/2021 1:49:41 PM
I’ve continued watching, and think it’s got better, the frame rate is still definitely off, especially in the action sequences though.
12/9/2021 2:02:00 PM
Frame rate is def. off. Going into this, I don't know anything about the books, and I've found it....ok. This is supposed to be Amazon's GoT, but I haven't gotten sucked into WoT like I did with GoT. At least not yet.

4/20/2022 10:33:45 AM
Watched the first episode of LOTR series last night. Thought the visuals were great, that billion dollars is on the screen. Looked infinitely better than wheel of time IMO, just from a graphics/visual standpoint.
9/3/2022 11:41:26 AM
That's good because wheel of time was completely unwatchable to me
9/3/2022 2:19:28 PM
Racists on the internet are mad about people of color in Middle Earth. It's not true to the spirit of completely made up stories!]

9/3/2022 11:45:03 PM
I think it will be a good series. The visuals were amazing. and the characters are cool. I like the Harfoots.
9/4/2022 10:31:29 PM
Agreed. Seems well written so far. A lot less boring than the movies. I liked the bit of comedy relief in the dwarf scenes
