Well, I went to my endocrinologist on Monday. As of Monday, I have lost a total of 43 pounds. In the past 10 weeks alone I lost 9 pounds, which is awesome considering all the pre-wedding and wedding events I attended where I decided to enjoy myself and not worry about my intake so much. I am really proud of myself. It seems like I have finally found my groove of getting to my ideal weight. I still have quite a bit to go, but as long as I stay on track I think I will be ok. My doctor told me that while there is an "ideal weight" for me to be at, based on my height, that my actual ideal weight is whatever I weigh when I am eating healthy and getting a moderate amount of exercise. So I feel good. I know that I will never look like a fitness model, but just the fact that I weigh less now than when I did when I was 21 feels amazing. Although the one thing that I don't like about my weight loss is after seeing pictures of me I realize that I lost a lot in my boobs and butt! The two places that I wouldn't mind keeping it. I don't like being an apple shaped chick, but I guess that is what goes with having PCOS. I carry all of my weight in my stomach, which is the least healthy place to carry weight. Regardless, I have lost 43 pounds. I am on the right track. I am doing what I need to do and I am not miserable while doing it. I'm not participating in any fad diet, so I don't feel like I am restricting myself from anything!
