Apparently they are selling your info and phone number after a little research.

http://time.com/money/5088086/hq-trivia-money/not according to the devs, but who knows

HQ was started by the guy who started Vine

There are subtle "ads" in that sometimes the questions deal with companies. One question the other day was "Which iPhone model was the first to use Siri?". Although giving away $5000 a day and another $15-$25k each weekend, there is no way they can recoup that much on small one question ads.

Cash show isn't nearly as good or as fun. While easier questions, it's a bad imitation.
2/21/2018 3:38:00 PM
The opening is a recording.. And that guy is annoying. I don't know if it's supposed to be funny but it's not
2/21/2018 10:21:22 PM
I've already won like $1.50 from CashShow, so therefore it's better than HQ
2/21/2018 10:31:52 PM
^^ you talking about HQ?their opening is definitely not a recording
2/22/2018 12:11:39 AM
Nah. Cash show.
2/22/2018 6:25:17 AM
The guy who does the Cash Show opening looks like a doucheEspecially his dancing at the end
2/25/2018 1:22:57 PM
His dancing is the best part of the whole app

Just played the 1:30 game of Cash Show and had the opening muted.Turned it back on at the end and they recorded a new opening
2/25/2018 1:35:37 PM
Got all 12 questions correct on last Cash Show of yesterday evening.Won an amazing $0.29 because 9,000+ people got all questions correct since it was so easy

$8,333.33/winner for 6 winners today (50K pot), under an hour ago.2.1 million started off. Q3 demolished 1.7+ million! ("What is Chinese bird's nest soup made from?" More than a million chose noodles, and another 0.7+ million chose shredded cabbage.)
3/4/2018 9:57:38 PM
Everyone is claiming that yesterdays game was rigged.Pair that with the fact that one of the winners had a pic with the host and they're apparently friends.Cash show has been REALLY tough lately, also really glitchy. I got to q11 on it twice, my buddy actually did get q12 and like stated earlier won about $0.40
3/5/2018 11:44:43 AM
what’s the point of rigging it?
3/5/2018 11:49:21 AM
Yes! The first question of Cash Show has been really hard lately
3/5/2018 1:00:34 PM
I saw the pic of the guy with Scott, they didn't look like friends, looked like dude was a fanboy and got a pic with him. Scott doesn't seem like he'd be big enough to turn down photo-ops with fans.I don't think it's so much rigged as people using extra lives, working in groups, and getting lucky with a few guesses. Definitely was shocked at the savagery of Q3 last night.
3/5/2018 2:58:46 PM
Made it to question 13, missed. Then watched and got every fucking question right until the end.

What's the TWW average hourly wage on this app?
3/11/2018 11:33:49 PM
$0
3/12/2018 11:28:47 AM
Well. Foot sufficiently in mouth. My wife won HQ last week. Only won $7 but I suppose winning is more common than I thought.
3/20/2018 9:08:01 AM
250k prize NOW... anybody playing?Starting in a couple of minutes.
3/28/2018 9:02:59 PM
No, Scott wears too much mascara.
3/28/2018 11:23:08 PM
I've been playing all the big ones. Can't believe each person won $20000 last night! I came within one question of winning on Tuesday night, but the final pot was $7 each so no big deal.
3/29/2018 9:12:25 AM
I actually like these special big-money ones with advertisers. I liked that both had "themes" and especially liked a lot of the 80s pop culture questions from last night. If only they hadn't thrown in the stupid geography questions amid all of the great(easy) 80s trivia.
3/29/2018 9:22:01 AM
Finally won last night. Won a whopping $0.58.
3/31/2018 6:45:53 AM
Lol yeah last night was ridiculous. Like 8000 people won.
3/31/2018 7:26:51 AM
won $6.11 tonight. definitely my biggest win yet.

Anyone still play HQ? I do when I remember. I've won twice ($3.76 total counting both) and come close another couple times. The trick is you can't cash out until you've got $20. So they aren't having to pay out some of the money. I'm sure there are a ton of people like me who only have a couple bucks.
12/17/2018 5:29:31 PM
nope

glad I cashed out when I did
2/15/2020 1:19:08 AM
oh no now i'm never gonna get my $0.64
2/15/2020 2:27:33 AM
Good riddance.Stupid concept.
2/15/2020 2:32:30 AM
It's not a stupid concept. It would just be a better concept if somehow they increased the total number of questions so you wouldn't have 20,000 people splitting a $5000 prize
2/15/2020 3:37:06 AM
^ Not only that:I mean, a quiz is never a stupid concept. What's stupid is having it online like that which enables people to cheat and win unfairly.
2/15/2020 3:39:00 AM
Personally I think the timer was a good compromise of not giving people the ability to just google everything and have plenty of time to sift through the results, but also not making it so short that you had to immediately come up with an answer in 1 second. And having a quiz online is stupid? It's 2020, get used to stuff being online.]
