I was in section 212. God that was miserable. I knew going in that it was going to be a candle in the sun to the NLD atmosphere, but that was just depressing. The guys behind me didn't even understand the game and were asking some ridiculous questions. I had kids in front of me trying to piss off everyone around them, and the team played like shit. There were so many disinterested people. Why are you even here?Every premier league match I watch moving forward will be in England barring Spurs showing up on my doorstep in Charlotte. On the bright side, Nashville is the shit. We had a great time outside of the match.

yo wtf is this NBC $50 on top of whatever your regular package is shit
8/1/2017 8:47:17 AM
Bait and switch.Get you hooked on having access to all games, then make it so you have to pay extra to keep that access. Shit's real lame.
8/1/2017 8:53:44 AM
Yea, I need a new EPL plug. Feel like a drug addict
8/1/2017 9:20:57 AM
^^^^lol yeah I feel you on that one. Stranger sitting next to me was wearing an Eriksen jersey and didn't even know who he was. Some kids behind me were talking about all sorts of random shit the whole time. Some redneck with a ponytail and his fairly wide significant other would not sit down right in front of me and eventually some dude started heckling/fat shaming them. Wide woman told him to either stand up himself, watch the game on the jumbotron, or just walk to the bottom of the stairs to watch. He chose to instead continue fat shaming.
8/1/2017 1:33:03 PM
Salah, Firmino, Mane is the best front 3 in the league. Haven't been this excited about watching Liverpool since Suarez era.And if Sturridge stays healthy (doubtful), that's a lethal first option off the bench.
8/1/2017 7:09:06 PM
He got injured today no?
8/1/2017 8:33:51 PM
some tightness but nothing serious
8/1/2017 9:09:17 PM
he subbed in, scored/got hurt on same play, subbed outwouldve thought it was an Onion-like story if i didnt see it myself
8/1/2017 10:17:04 PM
^^those kits tho

This Neymar pricetag is insane. The spending has gone bonkers the last 2-3 years and I seriously don't see how non-state backed clubs could ever keep up considering FFP. Revenues just aren't high enough to make it work. This whole skirting of the FFP law through making him an "ambassador" and paying him the buyout clause to buy his own way out is ridiculous too. I can't believe they're allowed to get away with that. Also, bye Coutinho.
8/2/2017 10:44:54 AM
^^ so you listed three trios that are "on par" which means it's debatable if Liverpool's are better and not completely crazy. Great points. Also Aguero gets hurt a lot and I don't think Sterling is better than any 3 of Liverpool's trio so they are not "miles ahead." Maybe Aguero of two years ago puts them ahead but not 17-18 Aguero IMHO. Either way, they're damn good and better than United's front 3 so suck it.^ just signed a 5 year deal. Don't see it happening unless the bid is in the outrageous $150M range.[Edited on August 2, 2017 at 1:16 PM. Reason : .]
8/2/2017 1:13:28 PM
Just rumors but read they will target Ousmane Dembele.Which I would love because surely Pulisic becomes a regular first team starter then.
8/2/2017 4:59:10 PM
gotta think Mbappe ends up there too.
8/2/2017 7:07:14 PM
8/2/2017 9:13:17 PM
The whole Neymar saga is hilarious.

8/3/2017 1:53:21 PM
8/3/2017 2:22:23 PM
Coutinho is gone, you pool fans are in denialBarca will come in with something like 100m for him, and IDGAF what Klopp says, the owners will take that shit and RUN
8/5/2017 8:08:30 AM
^^
8/5/2017 9:56:57 AM
I just don't see it unless the bid gets insane, which I don't think $100M for Coutinho with a new 5 year deal is. I don't see how Coutinho is a good replacement for Neymar anyway. I'd expect them to go after Dembele instead.
8/6/2017 11:34:22 AM
Meaningless game obviously but one thing that stood out was his calm and assertive Xhaka was. He came on strong at end of last year too. Looks a real steely midfielder.[Edited on August 6, 2017 at 4:47 PM. Reason : ^ yep, agreed. I do think Coutinho is a longer term target for Barca though.]
8/6/2017 4:46:37 PM
so has anyone looked in the NBC Sports Gold plan? What we will be missing if I don't spend the 50 dollars
8/8/2017 9:00:19 AM
Espn claims Coutinho deal is done for 90-120m Hope it's bs transfer rumors but not holding my breath
8/8/2017 1:45:00 PM
lol ESPN gets there info from The Sun. rest easy friend.
8/8/2017 2:06:31 PM
So it goes from:
8/9/2017 10:21:25 AM
He said he thought they were the best not that they were miles above anyone else You said he was on drugs for that opinion but then said essentially "wellll, maybe they're in a tie for 2nd best" He then put forward an argument against who you claim is far and away the best (without saying you were high for even considering that) which you ignored.
8/9/2017 10:28:36 AM
8/9/2017 10:54:45 AM
It's impossible to be objective in a debate about who is a better player, there isn't a definable fact based state for "best player" or best trio. Its 100% opinion. Goals isn't the best metric but Mane/Firmino have a better goals/app in league play last season than the city trio. Add in salehs two seasons at Chelsea, that number drops slightly below but the argument is that he is an improved player now. Not to mention that his Chelsea apps were subs not starting minutes. Im not saying that proves anything but if you want to be "objective" you need to back up your argument. Otherwise just say you disagree without the hyperbole.
8/9/2017 11:14:25 AM
Is Sterling even going to start? I figured it'd be Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, and KDB.
8/9/2017 11:42:18 AM
I already provided an argument. Fact is most people would take City and Tottenhams front three. Mane is also the only player that I see getting into either starting 11. So pool has one player iMO that can improve the two front threes. I also would also Ozil and Sanchez over any of the Liverpool front three. I think with lacazzette arsenal are also a better trio. Again only Mane could get into that trio.
8/9/2017 6:22:59 PM
Apples to oranges. A CAM (ozil) against a winger (mane or salah).Liverpool is good. So are a lot of others in the league. I'm inclined to wait and see how the newcomers adapt to the league before ranking (mostly referring to Laca and Salah).[Edited on August 9, 2017 at 7:18 PM. Reason : I would much rather have Sanchez and Lacazette over Firmino and Salah but would love Mane]

can't imagine it's 100% Levy's decision. The players signed those contracts. Good on Spurs for finding excellent players on reasonable contracts. You're right it's not sustainable if they want to consistently be a top 4/title challenger and I'm sure it'll change with the new stadium but it's still admirable to see a club find undervalued and youth and give them chances instead of buying stars for every need.
8/10/2017 1:05:14 PM
^ I agree but they have to find the balance. Perhaps this window the deals are harder to come by but United under Sir Alex had a good mix of promoting young unheard of players from the academy/other teams and pairing them with some very talented super stars. Spurs IMO have to find that balance or they risk getting left behind. Perhaps Poch thinks the team is good enough and doesn't need strengthening but I think that would be a naive approach to take into this season. Stagnation is never a good thing for a team and for Spurs it has to be a make or break year.
8/10/2017 2:31:19 PM
Does Arsenal still suck?
8/11/2017 3:51:51 PM
Yes
8/11/2017 4:43:10 PM
What a match to start the season. Lacazzette looked really good I thought. Also wtf was Shakespeare thinking bringing nacho on when leading 3-2. Stupid as fuck.
8/11/2017 4:54:37 PM
If there was a club that embodied nc state athletics, what club would that be? Genuinely curious what you guys think.[Edited on August 11, 2017 at 5:39 PM. Reason : ]
8/11/2017 5:38:31 PM
Meaty. French. Forehead.
8/11/2017 7:02:07 PM
^^absolutely Liverpool.
8/12/2017 8:33:57 AM
I know it's just Watford but Salah looks really good..Holy shit, Arsenals start is rough. Away to Liverpool and Chelsea first five games. And of course the away to Stoke horror show.[Edited on August 12, 2017 at 9:24 AM. Reason : Um Britos was offside by a mile. Did it go in first time?]
8/12/2017 9:06:52 AM
Clear offsides. Really tough for the assistant referee to get that though
8/12/2017 9:24:03 AM
Does it matter that Mignolet hits it into him? He's affecting play still right?
8/12/2017 9:25:24 AM
No because mignolet didn’t “play” it, it was a deflection. The shot down the line shows it’s a lot closer the left foot seems to be ahead of the ball so probably still off but a hell of a lot closer than the angled view[Edited on August 12, 2017 at 9:29 AM. Reason : .]
