I can sort of get behind some of the people that don't understand all the love for firefly. I do agree it was pretty good, and a shame it was cancelled, but I don't think the series lives up to all the hype.
For me personally it's probably because I watched Serenity first, which is fucking fantastic. Going back and watching the series after that didn't really live up to that standard.

i always liked happy endings and wished it was still putting out new seasons. it only got like 3 seasons.

I on Community the one more season of the original Dan Harmon run right after season 3 would be the most desirable thing. A brightest timeline where Harmon controlled his worse impulses and things didn't devolve with Chevy so badly.

The show never really hit the highs after season 3 because of all the turmoil. Even when Harmon came back they moved the show around and the cast started splitting apart.

i'd take that 2009 series Kings from NBC. That show had it all but the general public just couldn't get behind it once they figured out it was modern retelling of King David. The show wasn't religious at all, but people couldn't get past that.

I would definitely put my one vote for firefly or king of the hill

deadwood was good but I think it ended when it needed, although the end was rushed to me

If it felt rushed it's because they were unexpectedly cancelled during the HBO "house cleaning" after Sopranos ended...before they got to finish their story. They had another season's worth of story, which I believe included a more proper ending

i'm suprised nobody has said the Wire. But anyway, Simon said the only subject he wanted to cover was the influx of hispanic dealers but he didnt know enough to do it justice. Therefore ill say i wish he knew more and could have done another season. Also the newspaper and serial killer plots were pretty bad so maybe a 6th season could have ended on a stronger note.
