How the contract is worded is going to be extremely important to how this fight goes. If there is no provision in there and you dont think McGregor might just say fuck it and go MMA on him after a few rounds then you are crazy. I have wondered to myself for a while now how hard it will be for someone trained in MMA to avoid instincts to throw a kick or take someone down in a pure boxing match. Even if not intentional dont be surprised if some illegal moves come out of McGregor.

Correct but he is gonna lose anyways and since most people are only going to watch in hopes that he someone punches Mayweathers face in why not give the people what they want? haha
6/15/2017 12:32:02 PM
sad thing is i will watch this shit, but not paying 100$ for it.
6/15/2017 12:51:03 PM
6/15/2017 1:09:16 PM
^^^it would not surprise me if Mayweather's camp puts it in the contract that any MMA fighting would result in McGregor forfeiting his payout to Mayweather.
6/15/2017 1:23:42 PM
So who would win if it was a "fight whichever way" fight? In such a fight, Mayweather wouldn't hold back and would actively try to go for a KO while staying vigilant to Conor's attempts at kicking, grappling, etc.
6/15/2017 1:31:12 PM
Each would win a fight in their discipline rather easily.
6/15/2017 1:52:31 PM
Uh, of course, that's been discussed to death.I am talking about a fight in which they can do whatever they want from any discipline/style.
6/15/2017 1:59:27 PM
Yes I know, thats called MMA, McGregor would win.
6/15/2017 2:06:27 PM

6/15/2017 5:53:11 PM
Mayweather would probably just shoot him in that type of fight
6/15/2017 6:30:26 PM
(at my great question)but but but... what if mayweather has had serious training in kickboxing?!!!ok, he hasn't, but it would be great to pit a top kickboxer with a top mma or a top kungfu or taekwondo master. or a street fighter with a martial artist. wasn't there some series like that on some channel?
6/15/2017 11:05:56 PM
Yes .... it's called the UFC... that's exactly the reason the UFC was created. ]
6/16/2017 6:39:38 AM
no i mean a documentary-style series on either nat geo or discovery.i remember seeing an episode on one of those channels where they were comparing fighters of two different styles.
6/16/2017 6:52:49 AM
Are you thinking of the show Animal Face-off? Where they compared what would happen if two different animals fought...
6/16/2017 7:12:06 AM
never seen that one, sounds interesting!ok so i dug around on youtube and remembered it is called Fight Science on discovery.they don't really have people fight each other, but they have fighters from many disciplines perform their best hits on dummies made of ballistic rubber which mimics human flesh packed full of sensors and record the force, pressure, acceleration, and other data from the hits.i recall now watching several episodes of it, great show! the kickboxer and taekwondo master always came out on top with kick strength, and the boxer with hand hit strength. they also evaluated the fighting styles of top mma practitioners and muay thai fighters, as well as jiujitsu. then they did a bunch of episodes on martial arts weapons, which was really interesting.https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=fight+science
6/16/2017 7:48:07 AM
My point is... the Gracie's created the UFC to prove that BJj was the greatest fighting style. The first UFC's had King Fu artists and Mit Thai kickboxers etc as well as wrestlers and street brawlers. You don't need a nat geo special. There is literally a competition that does exactly what you asked
6/16/2017 9:27:29 AM
Hell there's still currently multiple taekwando world champions whose whole MMA game depends on round house kicking someone in the dome ]
6/16/2017 9:30:09 AM
the only way this fight is interesting is if mcgregor does the things that he is not allowed to dobut i'm not criticizing anyone for getting paid
6/16/2017 11:53:34 AM
This may be a dumb question, but are you allowed to do any different types of punches(like a spinning back fist or a flying punch) in boxing?
6/16/2017 1:06:34 PM
Nope
6/16/2017 2:52:02 PM

Those are way different bags tho
6/30/2017 3:57:29 PM
holy shit mayweather. Dude is fast for 40. The comparison does seemed bias towards the black guy though.

$99.95. Knock yourselves out.
7/11/2017 1:49:16 PM
89.99 for SD, extra 10 for HD. yea, I'm gonna pay 90 dollars to watch this fight in standard def.

Life is okay. These few years of it have at least been more interesting than the billions of years of oblivion that preceded it.
7/12/2017 11:18:53 AM
y'all remember that beef 50cent and Mayweather had a few years back? Where 50 offered to donate $750K to a charity of Mayweather's choice if he could read a single page out of a Harry Potter book without stumbling? What ever happened with that?
7/12/2017 11:57:46 AM
Mayweather doesn't care about Charity?http://deadspin.com/report-floyd-mayweather-needs-some-time-to-pay-his-tax-1796786034
7/13/2017 12:09:20 AM
^^Mayweather challenged 50 to get a video of his son telling him he loved him. and that was that as they say
7/13/2017 10:37:23 AM
I can't imagine owing the IRS $22 million
7/13/2017 11:49:08 AM
My guess it'll be a boring fight with Mayweather dancing around the entire time since McGregor won't be able to land a legal punch/hit. The promo stuff is so cheesy though. Neither one of them gives a shit since they're both laughing all the way to the bank.

Mayweather is the best Hype man in the business, but his fights are all the same. He is a skilled boxer, but he doesn't really have knockout power anymore. He will use his speed and jab and win a decision unless McGregor gets DQed. I think McGregor will land some shots but Mayweather has made sure this fight is in his advantage. TMT controlled everything ring size, glove weight, wouldn't be surprised if he handpicked the ref and judges. I may have to find a bar showing the fight or find a Filipino illegal feed.
