My guess is he is half right. I am sure the event has to pay a facility fee to book venue ahead of time normally that is paid by the event promoter (AEG, Live Nation etc) so the ticket prices go to artist or promotion. Still doesn't excuse the insane parking costs.

Either it's a misquote or he's lying if the venue does actually get a fee from the event itself.
