Dems/Libs shouldn't be mad at people who voted for Trump. They should be mad at the Democratic institution for stealing the show from Bernie and giving it to a terribly unlikable and out of touch vapid cunt. Bernie beats Trump every time.

The past two days have legit turned me from slighting wanting hillary to win to being excited for presient trump because of all the whining

^^yeah i think the premature protesting and whining and handholding is having the opposite intended effect for most of the country.

Chapel Hill is of the opinion that Chancellor Palpatine was elected and the Stormtroopers will be descending upon us momentarily.I also love that anything that could have a racial/sexual/ethnic undertone in the last week is directly attributed to Trump. Like the KKK that was in Mebane. For all the snark about how the Right was lapping up the false news about Obama for the last few years, my coworkers and neighbors are want to believe anything reported by anybody that is negative about Trump or his possible supporters, hook line and sinker.
11/12/2016 11:39:39 PM
What would have happened if trump won the popular vote but lost the electoral college?
11/13/2016 1:03:33 AM
I'm sure a woman getting elected would cause so much more outrage then a black dude getting elected 8 years ago.[Edited on November 13, 2016 at 1:12 AM. Reason : The KKK was dormant 8 years ago]
11/13/2016 1:11:59 AM
That's not the point. Would trump supporters accept defeat in this situation?People have been butt hurt for 8 years so that's not even a question.[Edited on November 13, 2016 at 1:25 AM. Reason : Evennnnn]

If the situation had been reversed though, Repubs and Trumpers would have complained and bitched, but they would not have protested.
11/13/2016 7:55:10 AM
Posting drudge report articles on Facebook so your grandkids can comment before you go to bingo night at the rotary club is still protesting.
11/13/2016 9:14:05 AM
Does that impede people getting to work? Does that damage private property? No, it just clutters my Facebook feed, which I can easily filter so I don't have to see that shit.

Arguing about whether or not Trump supporters would have hypothetically protested is easily one of the most simple-minded preoccupations to emerge from this debacle.
11/13/2016 2:53:39 PM
Would you expect anything else?
11/13/2016 4:02:05 PM
I forgot about all the riots that happened when Romney lost in 2012. The DNC has been caught sending their interns to protest/riot, Soros has been caught bussing-in protesters/rioters, paying people to protest (craigslist adds). Not to mention the liberal media in general loves misrepresenting any outrage-creating racial "issues" that lead to riots. Combine that with #BLM demanding the release of it's members arrested for violently rioting...I mean it isn't even close to compare. Violent rioting is kind of ya'lls thing. Its what happens when you convince the gullible masses they are oppressed victims and a racist orange hitler is going to send them to gas chambers.

gonna debunk myself here: hot FUCK does it feel good to rub it in.Okay thats it, time to destroy corruption.. oh wait.you don't WANT corruption to go away.ThenHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHHAHA
11/13/2016 10:52:11 PM
^^ your argument totally falls apart since you're failing to consider all those fired up Trumpsters who swore up and down that the election was rigged, and promised to riot as a result if he lost.[Edited on November 14, 2016 at 12:27 AM. Reason : .]
11/14/2016 12:27:12 AM
It's definitely hard to say how things would have turned out if Clinton had won. However, it is pretty ironic/hypocritical that they kept drilling Trump about accepting the election results if he lost and then when Hillary loses this is what her supporters do.
11/14/2016 11:40:55 AM
I thought that was directed at Donald Trump himself, not his supporters. So, would Donald Trump accept the outcome of the election, or would he not.Hillary Clinton conceded in a phone call to Donald Trump on election night...
11/14/2016 11:58:23 AM
^^the people who are rioting aren't exactly the same people that wanted him to accept the election results. or are all Hillary supporters the same? we can certainly make that assertion for Trump supporters too if you'd like.[Edited on November 14, 2016 at 11:58 AM. Reason : ]

11/14/2016 12:34:11 PM
It's not, actually. Many Trump supporters have come out of the woodwork to intimidate minorities, and some have even vandalized property and assaulted people. I know you want to ignore this, but there's plenty of evidence out there. You're also ignoring the fact that Hillary won the popular vote by a margin that seems to be growing everyday. But whatever man. I hope you enjoy the outcome of Trump's victory. He's waffling all over the place right now like he'll have to do throughout his presidency. [Edited on November 14, 2016 at 12:47 PM. Reason : .]
11/14/2016 12:46:35 PM
^^Clinton supporters have not really had to "claim" Trump wouldn't support the results. He actually came out and said it himself.
11/14/2016 12:58:51 PM
^^ the popular vote argument is one of the stupidest ones out there. We don't vote in a system where popular vote matters so you can't act like it does. If we switched from electoral college to popular vote you think that we would see the same voter turnout? There are plenty of people in deep red or deep blue states on both sides that don't bother to vote because it is pointless (at least at the Presidential level).
11/14/2016 1:18:07 PM
^ it does matter, it's very rare of the popular vote to split with the EC vote, and when this happens, it creates a dynamic where the majority of the people in the country don't support the president's ideologies. This has an impact on political strategy across the board. It's not just "oh well, this guy's president now". The whole point of a democracy is representation, and 1/3 of our government doesn't represent the people now. Last time this happened, we got the iraq war and housing bubble, we can't let this happen again.
11/14/2016 1:53:49 PM
Except it doesn't matter because it won't change a damn thing
11/14/2016 2:04:16 PM
The only reason why people are saying it's no big deal Hillary lost the EC but won the popular vote is because their guy conveniently 'won' by an outdated and archaic system. I've been against the EC since I was in high school, since I figured out pretty quickly that it's a dumb way to pick the president. And even if Hillary won, I'd still be saying the same damn thing. The two party system is fundamentally broken in America. Plenty of other first world democracies are laughing at us again, while they have reasonable and practical ways to elect their leaders. I'd love it if the US had 3-5 parties to represent its diverse citizenty, because none of them on their own would be strong enough to get anything done. The two party system works against each other, whereas coalitions have no choice but to work with each other to produce results. But go ahead and carry on with the logic that the EC is working when it isn't. I'm just going to sit back and watch everything get ripped apart sooner or later.[Edited on November 14, 2016 at 2:08 PM. Reason : .]
11/14/2016 2:07:44 PM
That isn't my point at all
11/14/2016 2:32:39 PM
You don't really have a clear point, so I'm not sure what to say. If Trump had won the popular vote by millions of votes and Hillary won the EC, you're suggesting no rioting would take place. Given his rhetoric and his supporters, I call absolute horseshit.
11/14/2016 3:21:49 PM
I have a very clear point but considering you think California should exit the union is a good idea I guess I shouldn't expect too much out of you
11/14/2016 3:24:15 PM
I think the Electoral College needs to be abolished and also think California should secede, especially if nothing is done to overhaul the election system in this country. The two aren't mutually exclusive ideas. So far your rebuttals are just to keep things the way they are because AMERICA.
11/14/2016 3:45:33 PM
No they haven't, I actually never said anything of the sort
11/14/2016 4:40:31 PM
while I don't necessarily disagree that the system needs to be tweaked, any changes that are made need to be for future elections. I personally think Trump is completely unfit to run the country, and openly admit I voted for Hillary, but all these people trying to get the results of this election changed need to learn how to take the L and give it a rest. If, somehow, the system was changed and Clinton became president, this country would absolutely implode.
11/14/2016 4:46:59 PM
^ the system shouldn't be changed for this election, the EC should operate as it always has been, trump is president. But going forward, we'd be better off without an EC. It would require politicians to be more centrist and help give an actual chance to 3rd parties. We'd need an instant-runoff/ranked type of voting system, but I think it would unquestionably give us better candidates, better rhetoric, reduce polarization, and give us better presidents.
11/14/2016 5:08:39 PM
HEY LOOK AT ME! I CAN'T ACCEPT A DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED PERSON I DISAGREE WITH! I SHOULD LET GEORGE SOROS BUS ME AROUND THE COUNTRY AND WHINE ABOUT IT, THEN COMPLAIN THAT THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE IS UNFAIR.
11/14/2016 7:45:52 PM
I never said anything about over turning the results from this election. I just hope something like this never happens again.
11/14/2016 7:53:20 PM
Is this more or less pathetic than winning AND STILL bitching about fraud. This is rhetorical. You suck.
11/14/2016 7:53:42 PM
^^ something like what?
11/14/2016 8:29:04 PM
Having a presidential race decided by an ineffectual electoral college. It's not a partisan at all for me. It's a practicality issue.
