I heard rumors that he overdosed on painkillers

I still think it could've been both. That OD-AIDS-flu
4/23/2016 2:58:11 PM
Yah that's gotta be it
4/23/2016 4:39:39 PM
overdosed on CIA-imported cocaine laced with chemtrails
4/23/2016 4:44:10 PM
he was on his bike the other day so that really narrows it down to things that could have killed him with sudden onset instead of slow death.
4/23/2016 6:03:22 PM
His remains have been cremated. He was too good for this world.
4/23/2016 9:06:01 PM
So...I have huge respect for him as a musician/artist. He also sounds, from everything I've ever heard, to be kind of a polymath--really good at a whole wide variety of stuff. Accounts are coming out now about how he was massively philanthropic, too, but kept it quiet....but am I the only one who thinks he was often a giant asshole, too?
4/25/2016 12:10:57 AM
how do you mean?I don't think a giant asshole would be capable of using this as a cover:[Edited on April 25, 2016 at 12:29 AM. Reason : .]
4/25/2016 12:24:35 AM
he was immensely shy, and a very much a strange characterpeople who are not sensitive to the eccentricities of the socially awkward often interpret their behavior as erratic or callous
4/25/2016 12:52:28 AM
I mean, sometimes he was an asshole. Didn't he (his people) file claims and lawsuits for a time when people would refer to him as Prince, instead of "the artist formerly known as Prince" or the symbol or whatever. But yeah it's mostly cause he's a weird eccentric creative dude. But sometimes that personality type leads to asshole behavior.Like...if you are known to the world as Prince for your whole career, why do you get mad when you change your name and some people refer to you by your old name. But maybe there was some label shit going on, I dunno.[Edited on April 25, 2016 at 12:57 AM. Reason : .]
4/25/2016 12:56:06 AM
the label shit was the entire reason for the symbol
4/25/2016 1:03:14 AM
this wasn't for nothing:
4/25/2016 1:25:50 AM
^^, ^^^ yeah, the symbol thing was because the record label was exerting legal rights to his fucking birth-given name.^^^^ Oh, by any standard, he was a super-eccentric, weird dude. I'm not really talking about that.I've just read a number of stories about him saying or doing sort of dickheaded stuff, mostly in a bluntly arrogant, prima-donna sort of way. I'm not saying it was totally his MO or anything, like he was just a total cock all the time, but he at least seemed to have some tendencies.
4/25/2016 2:23:26 AM
So share these stories, sir.
4/25/2016 8:03:04 AM
http://www.newsobserver.com/news/local/article73194267.htmlsuch a dickhead
4/25/2016 10:04:26 AM
Well the story that he wouldn't let Weird Al parody his song when he asked permission isn't really a dick move IMO. What made him a dick in that story to me was when he had to sit near him at an awards show and his people contacted Weird Al to let him know not to even make eye contact with Prince. WTF? That is some extremely passive-aggressive shit to a fellow artist who I don't recall anybody ever having a bad thing to say about, aside from they didn't like his parody of them. For the most part I never heard much bad about Prince and have a generally favorable opinion of him as artists at that level go, but that story does seem rather ridiculous.

painkillers found on him when he diedstomach literally sank
4/28/2016 8:15:00 AM
Prescription opiods. I'm going to guess it was a percocet OD. It was probably the same thing that nearly killed him on his plane a few weeks prior.
4/28/2016 8:32:21 AM
the painkillers only made AIDS-flu stronger.
4/28/2016 10:17:24 AM
doves literally cried
4/28/2016 10:54:37 AM
I didn't realize percocet was strong enough to OD on.I was on them for a few weeks 10 years ago for major surgery, had no idea they were such a big deal.
4/28/2016 10:57:45 AM
I mean, it contains oxycodone. A large enough dose can snuff you out.
4/28/2016 11:00:56 AM
It's basically expensive and cleaner heroin.[Edited on April 28, 2016 at 11:02 AM. Reason : not heroine]
4/28/2016 11:01:55 AM
So what's the difference then between percocet and oxycontin?
4/28/2016 11:07:21 AM
Oxycontin doesn't contain Acetaminophen.
4/28/2016 11:10:46 AM
[quote]I didn't realize percocet was strong enough to OD on.[quote] You can OD on almost anything; it really doesn't matter per se how "strong" it is when you're thinking in OD terms, but also the amount.
4/28/2016 11:50:32 AM
rjrumfel is a god damn idiot
4/28/2016 12:16:18 PM
Actually, isn't the acetaminophen the OD problem here, not the opiate? I'm under the impression acetaminophen is relatively easy to OD on, especially for an OTC drug. Just askin.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paracetamol_toxicity
4/28/2016 1:00:42 PM
^ that's right, but it depends what strength he was taking. http://www.rxlist.com/percocet-drug/indications-dosage.htm If he was on the stronger pills, he could more easily OD on the oxy before having issues with the acetaminophen.http://prescription-drug.addictionblog.org/percocet-overdose-how-much-amount-of-percocet-to-od/
4/28/2016 1:25:12 PM
aha, the doctor that wrote Prince those scripts FUCKIN BOUNCED. The police are looking for him, and he's nowhere to be found. Also noticeably absent are the actual prescriptions.I guess he saw what happened to Conrad Murray, and decided to be a hermit for a while.
5/11/2016 10:56:32 AM
So its true that Prince was going to expose the illuminotty?

Prince is great and all, but XM 50 The Groove doesn't need to play nothing but Prince for a 4th straight week.

I heard about this, went to XM 50 The Groove and they were playing Tina Turner. I changed the station back.
