Phoenix was a blah race with a great finish. Auto club up next

wow, little leads whole race then blows tire on last lap. suarez passes him but runs out of gas and douches passes him back but then austin dillon passes them both even tho douche tried to pull a harvick and turn him https://youtu.be/-5G-RQlw0ds[Edited on March 19, 2016 at 7:22 PM. Reason : f]

kyle is such a little punk. he threw a tantrum on the radio because race control didn't throw a caution for debris from his blown tire. what a bitch. if he had've been in Dillon's position and they had've thrown the caution, he would've thrown a tantrum too.[Edited on March 19, 2016 at 9:15 PM. ^he didnt show up for post race media so he can expect a big fine this week. that brings me pleasure
3/20/2016 6:17:39 AM
Can we talk about Haas F1 in this thread too?6th today in their first ever race
3/20/2016 6:25:03 AM
^nice, i like Gene and hope he knows what he's doing and doesn't lose a shit ton of money
3/20/2016 7:40:58 AM
That was an awesome finish!
3/20/2016 10:28:11 AM
cali was best race of 2016 IMO. it's great when they have to pit for tires before they need fuel
3/21/2016 6:23:10 PM
Auto Club, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Daytona in that order for me. This new low downforce package/new tire combo has been a homerun for nascar so far.Chase Elliott with 3(should be 4) top 10s in his first 5 races. With the speed that team has shown, if they could just get their pit shit straightened out there could be a win in their future this season. Shoulda had a top 3 yesterday but it is what it is.
3/21/2016 6:44:46 PM
definitely will be checking out indycar at phoenix sat night story that has youtube links:http://motorsports.nbcsports.com/2016/03/30/looking-back-recalling-how-indycar-racing-used-to-be-in-phoenix/

Will be at martinsville on Sunday. Can't wait
3/30/2016 7:56:50 PM
^outstanding. weather should be perfect.
3/30/2016 8:48:10 PM
This will be 3 of the last 4 martinsville races i've been to. Saw Gordon win in fall of 14, saw Hamlin win in Spring of 15. Expect another great race and hope Chase Elliott can show well. That 24 has been incredibly fast there for the past 2 years.
3/30/2016 8:51:00 PM
I believe I, too, am headed to Martinsville this Sunday. Should be a good day and an easy trip.At this point i'm going to rely on Stubhub for tickets...will I do better scalping? Craigslist?
3/31/2016 12:26:03 AM
I like to buy them from the track to help support them. It's not sold out yet
3/31/2016 1:17:10 PM
3/31/2016 5:06:35 PM
3/31/2016 5:23:00 PM
So as a newbie to Martinsville, what should I know ahead of time?
3/31/2016 8:17:21 PM
In a NASCAR pool where you can only select a driver once across the entire season. Any suggestions for Sunday?
3/31/2016 9:01:44 PM
Chevrolet has won 20/26 races there...Johnson is 9/2...I'd go with him for this weekend. As for season...6/1 odds for:HarvickKyle BuschJimmie Johnson
3/31/2016 9:05:24 PM
I think I explained the pool poorly. We pick a driver each week, and once you've picked that driver, you can no longer pick him/her. So, if I were to pick Jimmie Johnson, I couldn't pick him for the rest of the season. I'd like to save him for when he's +200 or +250 (can't remember which track, but he had that at one point last season)...
3/31/2016 9:07:13 PM
In that case pick a chevy...it's a toss up. Whoever is driving Gordon's car.
3/31/2016 9:19:38 PM
88 hasnt won on a mile n half since W was president or something crazy like that. this could be a good track to take him
3/31/2016 9:44:14 PM
Indy at Phoenix: holy cow this race was bad. the leader couldnt even pass lapped traffic. take the dang wings off at ovals. geez
4/3/2016 12:24:25 PM
Grosjean with a 5th place today for HAAS F1 in a really entertaining Bahrain GP.
4/3/2016 12:50:02 PM
Surprised by the empty seats at martinsville today. Entire rows empty...Decent race. Busch was the class of the field and it was obvious early on. I hate that smug asshole so much, but he can drive
4/3/2016 6:38:33 PM
^Yeah I was kind of shocked by the empty seats on the front straight away too. I guess all of the old people who used to go 20 years ago have died now and the younger generations doesn't like motor sports?????
4/4/2016 3:23:21 PM
young folks like motorsports just fine. they just don't like NASCAR's version and I don't blame them.
4/4/2016 6:15:36 PM
I just don't think there's a big enough reason to go to the track anymore. And nascar doesn't care. The money is in tv deals now.
4/4/2016 7:42:54 PM
4/5/2016 12:45:54 AM
Racing is a sport that's always better to watch live compared to on TV. There's no "ball" in auto racing that the camera can focus on 100% of the time and not miss anything else. Plus the contest continues during commercials.
4/5/2016 7:37:18 AM
4/5/2016 8:07:38 AM
i guess France is trying to make up for that BS $35k fine to Stewart by saying that if the 14 car wins at Dega with Ty Dillon driving Stewart still gets into chase.
4/28/2016 6:46:50 AM
^ well back when points used to matter, Stewart would've gotten the credit for the points from the win, but I think Dillon would've been the one credited with winning the race as far as recordkeeping went...so how is NASCAR going to handle that, both drivers qualify?
4/28/2016 8:18:21 PM
4/28/2016 9:15:02 PM
what a wreck fest
5/1/2016 4:39:46 PM
danica said she got drilled from behind
5/1/2016 4:59:47 PM
^her first pit stop
5/1/2016 6:02:34 PM
Danica's hit today on the backstretch when she got spun could've killed her without the SAFER barriers. That was nasty.[Edited on May 1, 2016 at 10:08 PM. Reason : /]
5/1/2016 10:07:53 PM
yeah man, even with the soft wall, i was a little worried. she smacked it hard.
5/1/2016 10:30:44 PM
plate racing is like watching a tornado in a trailer park. reminds me of this great rant from smoke in 2012:https://youtu.be/1UjbugjIAxc
5/2/2016 6:45:28 AM
33 of 40 cars were in wrecks yesterday.
5/2/2016 8:23:16 AM
Kyle Busch's comments were pretty funny. Said he's got a win, so he would just as soon sit out Talladega.
5/2/2016 8:45:28 AM
^which is one of reasons why you have to start every race or get a waiver to be in chase. plate racing sucks but its not going away until a car ends up in the grandstands
5/2/2016 10:34:16 AM
I thought it was an entertaining race.
5/2/2016 2:18:55 PM
^^ Could state he has "headaches" and do what Stewart did yesterday.
5/2/2016 11:38:39 PM

I'm not the biggest fan of the caution clock in the lower divisions. Last night they were running a clean truck race and then they threw a caution for no reason at all. At that point there were about 4, or 5 wrecks really quickly because the field was no longer spread out and they all got aggressive to make up some spots.
5/7/2016 11:07:08 AM
That's the whole point of the caution clock. Before that we had fake debris cautions. At least this way is fair.I don't like the caution clock either, but it's an improvement from the debris cautions.
