^ Lulz, that program is hilariously broken and only exists for government jobs.

I respect anyone who voluntarily takes a job that puts their life in the literal line of fire in support of a good cause. (and yes, i know some shit our military is ordered to do in retrospect might not have been the best, but that's on the politicians.) The individual soldier decides that risking his life is worth protecting everyone else in our country. that individual decision specifically earns my respect.

Not everyone in the military is putting their life on the line, a lot of people are just working a job and are doing so because it was the best way for them to get a job

Also, it's not always for a good cause

the butthurt over the spending on sporting events is hilarious. tell y'all what. you agree to a 100% conscription service, and the military can stop wasting a whopping $2M a year on this

also, wounder warrior project is a scam. has been for a damn long time. don't support those fucks. it's a shitty group of people getting rich off of wounded vets.

^i'm almost more aggravated that the pro leagues get paid to do something that makes their fans like them more (b/c fans think pro leagues are doing it out of patriotism)

So, I didn't check your profile to see what your age and gender are, but are you regestered with the selective service?
IMO, there's a big differnce in obviously paid advertising like the America's Navy posters at the X-games and charging the local National Guard unit to bring a giant American flag out for pregame.

they were spending over $8M/year alone to sponsor the National Guard NASCAR, the total cost of advertising is about $200MM (down from double that). The GAO has said that there is not enough evidence that this is effective recruiting, and there is no reason why having military appreciation at games should cost taxpayers money.

it looks like they only spend 6% on administrative costs, what is wrong with this group?
