hashtags were never intended to communicate complex issues.

Another failure of communication. Though, the hashtag is far from the only type of communication for this movement, nor the only communication failure.

Looks like this person needs to be reminded that #BlackLivesMatter

See that is crossing the line and deserves to be dealt with. The UCLA kanye party that got activists fired up is an example of hyper sensitive nancies that need to develop thicker skin...

But what if that guy is blind?
11/11/2015 12:50:47 PM
then everybody is black.
11/11/2015 2:07:38 PM
There's a very simple explanation for that post. The guy is a photographer.
11/11/2015 2:36:21 PM
a racist photographer....which is the worst kind of photographer![Edited on November 11, 2015 at 2:48 PM. Reason : #AllPicsMatter]

Oh look! An actual true threat. Pretty much the only non-protected speech category.

Looks like white millennials are the whiniest of the bunch. Despite any measurable disadvantages and numerous measurable advantages, they still think they're the most persecuted group. If you're perceiving an uptick in people wanting to be victims, this is probably where that's coming from.

that can be interpreted as whites saying they're just as discriminated as everyone else while blacks and hispanics say they're discriminated against more than whites. #ErrbodyWhiny

I do think it would be interesting if I could change nothing about myself except my skin color and go about my daily life as usual for a week or two and honestly see if anything were different.
11/12/2015 10:53:34 AM
^^. Ha that's true, but blacks have been complaining for decades, and there's actual evidence they should be complaining. Hispanics get the short straw too, but not as bad as black folks.
11/12/2015 11:33:39 AM
^^ do you honestly believe that there is a chance that things wouldn't be different?
11/12/2015 11:39:55 AM
I have no idea and without actually doing it there is no way to know. Granted my boss says some pretty racist things sometimes so I can imagine at least his reaction would change.
11/12/2015 11:54:08 AM
or you could just listen to black people
11/12/2015 11:55:40 AM
I guess my point was I wonder if all things being equal other than just my skin color changed would things be different. It is difficult to just ask a black person because their entire life experience has been different than mine. I don't doubt things would be different, I guess it just would be interesting to see first hand people treating me differently than they did before just because of the color of my skin.
