living OTB is okay if it's because you are at Woodberry or when you leave for college

Is there actually a public drunkenness or noise problem in downtown Raleigh?

I'm pretty uppity about noise myself, and I've never noticed anything too rowdy.

yeah i was kinda wondering if bars in the downtown business district was really a public nuisance?

OR

the christian right, the MADD moms, and suburbanites are jealous/appalled that people are having fun while they are stuck in their mundane lives.

Of the people mentioned in the ad, Baldwin won and Tomasulo & Smith lost.

With that said, Baldwin was an incumbent, and Tomasulo finished third (for two seats) to her and the other incumbent 31/30/24.

seems like the problem was with turnout

its a lot easier to like and share some shit on facebook than drive to a poll for 10 minutes and vote

I think Vibrant Raleigh should have pushed absentee ballots more since the republicans banned Sunday voting there was only a couple of non-business days you could vote, and you would have to go downtown and pay to park to do it.

I tried to absentee vote and they sent my form back saying some info was wrong, I'm pretty sure it wasn't. Same for the gf... Oh well...

I'll claim Waynesville as the drunkest city based on that list. Most/many of the other cities listed are tourist towns so the drinking population is much higher than the actual population who lives there. Whereas nobody takes a vacation to Waynesville.

My voting precinct turnout was horrible. Pecan Rd....As of 2pm on election day barely 200 people had cast a ballot

What was the political catalyst for the whole "Drunktown" campaign. Was this an attempt by some sneaky business to get legislation passed that benefits them or was this just some do-gooder Christians trying to get people to not drink?

I would imagine those that purchase condos in that area do so for their access to night life and other benefits of living in the city....

Dean Debnam bought the Boylan Pearce building and probably doesn't want shitty coglins and big easy drunk douchehats congregating on the sidewalks near his building

Everyone loves to listen to Zach Medford talk about how hard he has it now at Paddy O'Beers but forget how much of an annoying shit hole Coglins is. Dude shouldn't get to complain so much when one of his places is one of the big catalysts for this shit
