I am almost at 100 hours and just now realized how important the training sessions are. I've only 100%'d the 1st set of training but I've already seen an improvement in my game, specifically regarding aerials.

As nerdy as it sounds, it really helps.

Holy Shit this game is fun. I don't play video games much anymore but I got lost for about 4 hours straight yesterday in it.

Any suggestions? Are all the cars the same, and the players skill level is all that matters?

The developers claim that the only difference in the cars is the size of the hitbox. I kinda feel like there are differences though, although it may just be psychological.

As I recall, they are "supposed" to be the same, but there are very slight differences in a few stats which do make differences; usually this is only for top tiers, though.

Yep. This game is definition of "Easy to learn, difficult to master". There is nothing worse than when you get paired with absolutely shit teammates, especially when you are down 4-0 and there are still 3 mins left in the game and they refuse to vote to forfeit.

Yea, I only lost 1 game out of 5 but I was being carried. I'm good for multiple assists or goals a game tho so i think I'm doing alright.

Depending on how I was playing, I bounced around between Prospect Elite and Challenger II on ranked (not good, but certainly not the worst). At that level, though, even a single real mistake gets you roasted, and I still haven't learned to fly well enough to hang above that. I stick to casual now.

The flying that some people do is crazy in this game. I never have enough boost to get a significant amount of air time. Then I see some videos that people post in the RL subreddit and they are doing all these flips and stuff someone still getting an incredible goal.

If you guys are still learning how to do aerials, I highly recommend learning this method first:

Jump, boost, jump

You have ~2 seconds after the first jump where you can still do your follow up flip, it helps a ton with correcting your aerial and having some power in the hit. Most aerials don't require more than 2 seconds of boost anyway. Most of the newbies I see try to double jump then boost into the ball and they suck dick.

I finally picked this up a couple of months ago, and I'm absolutely terrible at it but I love it.

I have no idea why, but I really enjoy the swag/bling side of it. If anyone out there on PS4 wants to clean out inventory space, or doesn't play anymore and is willing to just dump their old inventory......I'd be happy to help

I'd take anything and everything at this point, just like all the different options of customizing. I'll even take crates, I've considered getting some keys at some point.

I've been thinking about picking this up for me and 5 year old on PS4. I asked the guy at Gamestop about it and he Nerded out and tried to sell me on like 3 newer games that were coming out in the future that would be better.

Would love a Mantis, but those are probably way too new. Most people say it's the same as the Batmobile, but I hate you can't customize anything on the Batmobile.

I'd say my favorites are the following (don't really have a pic since I don't own any of this):

Car: Octane

Wheels: Draco > Kalos >>> Disco/Zomba
Topper: Eh, not a huge fan of toppers.
Decal: 20XX > Slipstream > Parallax
Boost: Whatever. Painted ones are cool.

I rotate between Octane and Batmobile. Just started playing competitive at start of Season 4. I hover between bronze 3 and silver 1. I thought I was pretty good, then I saw how many ranks are above me

lol. usually play 2s in diamond or low champ these days. only game I play, other than roblox with my kids
