I think that this looks great, although it does feel like they are going down the whole “Will Smith playing a tortured good guy” route, and although he always kills it in those roles, I was just hoping for him to do something completely different, such as being an actual sadistic killer similar to Tom Cruise in Collateral.Jai Courtney looked decent as well for a change; I really like what they did with his make-up as it looks fucking awesome. Leto does come off a bit like Heath, but more toned down which is nice. Above all, you can’t get caught sleeping on David Ayer. The worst thing that you can do as a movie goer is to walk into a film without knowing what the director can and will bring to the table, and for this particular director, he’s got the potential to take this in a very violent and muddy direction.

Trailer was better than expected. I thought it sounded horrible after initial castings, but now I'm at least intrigued.
7/14/2015 8:45:35 AM
Margot Robbie is going to be so fucking hot in this movie.
7/14/2015 9:13:35 AM
This is suppose to take place between Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman with Joker already in custody for B v S. Deadshot is actually more of a antihero aka Deadpool than a straight supervillain, now the others are straight villains. Deadshot killed his own brother in the comics so he has been trying to come back from that.
7/14/2015 10:16:39 AM
I like that will smith isn't a pure killer. I'm not sure about the other lesser known characters, but at least his character is someone that we can relate to more so than a half alligator(?) man, or joker psycho. Also loved the part about Superman showing up bringing out the crazies. This also ties into how Aquaman, wonder woman, and maybe batman also would do the same thing.

I only remember Margot Robbie prett weakly from wolf of wall street; not sure how good an actress she is...I guess we'll see what she does with the role

Yeah, safe to say that it is just a curiosity. Also, I really like the images and scenes from this trailor that call back to Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs. That's gonna give me some chills if they play it out right. One more thing that I've noticed is that everybody has been quick to point out that the main theme from the trailer is a cover of the Bee Gees song "I Started a Joke", but what they don't really speculate about is who the song is referencing. Now, I've been a fan of both the pre-Disco and Disco Bee Gees for a while, and this song has always struck me (and many others) as a reference to Hitler. So, wouldn't that be cool if this is the Joker's theme and he started a rein of terror only to have Batman lock him up or kill him off in the end?
7/19/2015 4:51:16 PM
jared leto joker is gonna be jason todd
7/19/2015 8:45:37 PM
^^Ehh I have a feeling we arent going to see much of joker/batman in this movie. Probably just Joker and Harley interaction telling her story, then Batman catching the two of them. Looking at the trailer for Batman v Superman it seems he has already had a lot of interaction with Joker. I have a feeling we are going to see a solo Batman v Joker movie after these two.
7/19/2015 9:12:49 PM
Oh boy, another Batman v Joker movie.
7/19/2015 9:40:16 PM
Margot Robbie is fucking ridiculous.
7/19/2015 11:29:41 PM
lots of interesting rumors Floating around that this Version of the Joker is actually Jason Todd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IXwavd8xxg[Edited on July 29, 2015 at 1:36 PM. Reason : a]

Can you summarize that theory for those who don't know Jason Todd?

Brief bio:Jason Todd is the 2nd Robin (after Dick Grayson). He was murdered by the Joker, but then brought back from the dead by magic (or retconning what actually happened, depending on the story-line). When he comes back, he takes the alias of the Red Hood which was the Joker's identity prior to being dropped in the vat (disfiguring him). He is similar to Batman in this new role, but he isn't shy to straight-up murder villains or run a crime syndicate of his own to destroy other syndicates. He holds a strong grudge against Batman for not saving him and for being too lax on the Joker after his "death".I have not read theories on why this Joker would actually be Jason Todd, though.

except for the fact that Zack Snyder's son has been pretty much confirmed to be playing Jason Todd. so unless he dies and comes back looking like jared leto. i doubt it.
7/30/2015 9:17:14 AM
His son is still fairly Young-looking, and they are going with both an oldish Batman/Bruce Wayne and Joker (leto is no spring chicken) in this moive, so it could easily be a Flash back.
7/30/2015 10:02:11 AM
I think this theory/plot line makes the entire series way way better. Adds a lot of complication to Batman's struggle in dealing with the Joker. Creates the mechanism as to why Batman can never really hurt/stop him. Because he used to be Robin there is always a hesitation. In fact, Batman would be compelled to save his life if some other villain threatened it. You could have a scene where Batman fights villain X while Joker takes advantage of the situation and fights Batman and/or villain X.Creates all sorts of interesting scenarios.I mean, without that, the Joker is an insane person who kills people. There would be no reason for anyone to not just blow him away. Its too simple really.I want this theory to be true.

New trailer out and it's actually a pretty damn good trailer. Instead of going all grim dark like DC has been doing, they actually made this look fun https://youtu.be/CmRih_VtVAs[Edited on January 20, 2016 at 7:36 AM. Reason : $$$]

Gun to my head I'd say I'm more interested in this movie than BvS.

Looks good to me. I wasn't the biggest fan of Margot Robbie off the bat (obviously she was hot in Wolf of Wall Street, just wasn't sold on her yet)...but I'm all-in now.

Is Margot Robbie playing Harley Quinn or Andy Dick?
1/20/2016 10:57:39 PM
Looks fun as hell
1/21/2016 9:03:20 AM
^^ That makes non sense at all.
1/21/2016 9:58:17 AM
Every single Harley line in that trailer is delivered with the same cadence and intonation as Andy Dick's act. The content's not far off, either.

New Trailerhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZwsbcW-d-EThis movie looks good, and also extremely FUN, unlike the last two DC movies that tried to be grandiose and brooding at the expense of fun. There was a rumor that the first trailer used all the jokes in the movie and that the reshoots they are doing now are to add more humor. Clearly that's not the case, but also even when the characters in this movie aren't joking it still looks like fun.[Edited on April 11, 2016 at 7:38 AM. Reason : ]

So I guess that was Ben Affleck's Batman we see in the trailer?
4/11/2016 8:36:38 AM
Ben Affleck Batman should be the only batman we see for a whileWhich I have no problem cause I like this batman in this world. I also pray that didn't show all the good parts in the trailer like batman vs superman
4/11/2016 8:57:09 AM
Hope the opening credits is a brief montage of Batman catching all of them.
4/11/2016 9:08:25 AM
Saw a preview for this before x-men apocalypse last night and it looks like it is going to be a blast. There will be some batman cameos, maybe as ^ suggested showing them all getting caught. Movie looks like it won't be super gritty, but will be violent and probably lyrics over the top in a good way. Jared Leto joker looks more acceptable and good God damn Margot Robbie is a smokeshow.[Edited on May 27, 2016 at 7:20 PM. Reason : Xfgv]

I thought that the cast was really good, but the plot was a mess and I never really understood the motivations of a lot of the key characters. I'm glad DC didn't go and make individual backstory/origin movies for each character, but they literally just kind of jumped into the film and kind of expected you to know what the hell was going on from the get go.
