yah I saw that, I think it looks like play-dough ... to each their own i suppose

I would have liked the traditional comic suit instead, but the movies had a trend of trying to futurize the uniforms, only embracing the comic uni at the end of the movie finally

Could have been a great final chapter for the McAvoy/Fassbender/Lawrence. They face an unstoppable threat that services as the vehicle to polish off 3 (up to this point) good character arcs. X and Mags are galvanized as the yin and yang of the mutant world. Raven likely serves as sometime of sacrifice.

Or

Could have been an assembling of the next generation showing that, in a rapidly expanding mutant world with major threats, the team dynamic of complementary mutants is the ultimate tool to preventing total destruction. Kill Lawrence anyway.

They chose to try both and got neither right.

But they wore the 90s costumes at the end so it's ok.
